Hi folks,
I'm facing a problem with my Huawei P10. It was running VTR-L29C432B371 firmware (Oreo 8.0.0, EMUI 8.0) rooted with Magisk v17 (I think), bootloader is open. TWRP is running on 3.2.1-0.
I lost my Magisk Manager app and therefore wanted to reinstall Magisk completely. I booted to TWRP and installed the following: Magisk-uninstaller-20190328.zip
Now my phone does not start anymore, it says:
Error Mode, Attention! Please update system again. Error!
Func NO : 10 (boot image)
Error NO : 2 (load failed)
I cannot install Magisk anymore but TWRP and fastboot is still working. Does anyone know what is going on? How can I bring my P10 back to life? Would it help to flash ramdisk image (Huawei doesn't have boot.img I think) and where could I find this?
I forgot to mention: I do need my data. So wiping / factory reset is not an option...
Many thanks in advance,
Jens

Hi, well, as the title says i just updated magisk to v9 and my cellphone got stuck at the recovery mode.
I had magisk v8 installed, so i went to the magisk manager to update it but it said i had to do it manually and that the file was saved at MagiskManager, so i enter to TWRP and flashed the zip to update to magisk v9, and after that i turned on the cellphone and it appears a screen with two errors
Func 10 boot image
Error 2 load failed
I dont know what to do, i tried to uninstall magisk and re install it but it wont work.
I flashed a boot img from b317 (i think i used that update.app) and flashed the stock recovery using the Huawei Update Extractor, but now i got a bootloop or a blackscreen.
I need your help, i dont want to do a factory reset, THANKS.

Hey everyone, sorry if i have a bad english :
First i have a Xperia M5 E5603, and my android version is 5.1
let me explain my problem, everytim i try to install any version of magisk (tried with 12.0, 13.3 and 14.0) with twrp my Xperia keeps having bootloop , and when i try with the Magisk manager i get a unable to unpack boot image!
Do you have a solution? thanks in advance !
Nobody?
Guess i will give up then...
Have you checked the troubleshooting guide? There's a couple of things about bootloops in there...
Yeah, i've tried everything and nothing works..
Now i'm stuck at the boot logo even when i'm flashing a clean boot img
What version of magisk should i install?
Okay so i tried to install magisk v12, and it worked, but again bootloop
So i tried magisk v14 with boot bridge (twrp ask me for it) and then i got a "assert failed: run-program("/tmp/boot_bridge/boot_bridge.sh, "init") == 0"
Flash magisk stable 14 or beta 14.5 then flash this file VerifiedBootSigner-v8.zip
It doesn't work, he failed and told me to upload recovery.log (i don't know how to get it)
I have a P8 Lite2017 PRA-LX1 no brand, unlocked, twrp 3.1.1, stock ROM
I've tried superSU, it works, but I wanted to use Magisk,
so I did a factory reset, unSU, and tried to install Magisk 15.3 and 14.0,
both gave me the error 1
"boot changed by software" and "boot partition too small" or something like this
on the net, I read that I need to install a stock boot ?? then someone install magisk via fastboot ??
I don't get it, I can't have twrp AND Magick ??
---
also, I even tried to install the "new" twrp-3.1.1-2-v2.5, after installing and rebooting, I still get the twrp 3.1.1-0 written on the splashscreen at the begin of twrp, is this normal ?
Hi, two days ago i tryied to install Xposed framework, and my Huawei P10 (VTR-L29C432B360) ended in a bootloop.
I reinstalled your TWRP (Oreo V3) but when i tryied to open in recovery it got stucked and the follow message appears in red:
" ERROR MODE
Attention: Please update system again
(android image followed by yhe rest of the message)
Error
Func NO:11 (recovry image)
Error NO:2 (load failed) "
I tried every single methods, but with out result.
Can someone help me, please?
I allready tried this thread, both methods: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/how-to/guide-manual-updgrade-to-update-oreo-t3758286
Then I guess you should unbrick it..xposed is not really friendly with emui, i remember since i had my p8 lite and it's not worth trying. Better stick with magisk modules.
Try this .
I tried, but the recovery_ramdisk gives me error
you need too flash kernel.extract oreo files and flash kernel.img after that you can reach twrp
Also having the same issue. I've flashed the Kernel as well via fastboot but no luck. I don't have access to a Windows machine at the moment but will try tomorrow. Unless anyone knows what I have to flash via fastboot to fix this? My device was updated to Oreo if it helps.

Hi,
I am trying to install on my device the TWRP image but it doesn't work.
What I've tried so far:
A tons of twrp images
SRK Tool
injecting image to recovery
injecting img to recovery2
injexting image to recovery_ramdisk
Nothing works still. The error im getting is "partition length get error"
Im running EMUI 9.0.1 and Android 9 Build Version 9.0.1.175(C432E2R1P5). Any ideas how to get TWRP work on my device?
You are running a HONOR 9 and you wanna help to install TWRP on a P9 thread... maybe you try to install the wrong version.
