Possible but I doubt it. Depends on apps and setting you are running.

Please please share your settings.. Share screenshots of app launch (are all apps set to automatic or did you turn them all off) and also of digital time management and what apps do you use and how much.. That is insane battery life, and I doubt it has something to do that you have 8gb version, the battery should be same on both 6gb and 8gb version..
When I go 100% I have only 26h, how come you have 55h????

This is from this morning.

I'm in use 1day and 17 hours. I have 2hours remaining and i have 8% battery. The TOD at the moment is 8 hours sharp. Sorry but Tapatalk says I don't have permission to upload photos. 8gb 256 edition

Using p30 pro

Can anyone let me know if their devices seem to drain more while on 4G - my idle 4G drain is not great, when I use it though it's better, when sitting idle with 4G on it seems to drain - I do have things on etc but seems excessive to me.

I'm at the end of the third day with 7h of sot, with 32% remaining in the tank...
Mind blown.

Imposible, share screenshots

My record so far is 30 Hour at 30 % before recharging. I start at 7am and recharge 30 hours later.
Bluetooth, Location and mobile data all turned on at all times + wifi.
Moderate usage include web surfing, youtube (max volume), music and etc.
Recalling back my experience with iphone 7 plus, p30 pro is beast in battery department. Hahaha...

Battery life inquiry

Hi guys
I am considering buying the Moto G 2014 for a gift. The battery capacity seems flimsy for a big screen. How is the battery life on moderate use? No gaming, mainly browsing websites to read news, emails. Would it last for a day, 12 hours?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I use mine a lot and I finish the day (going to sleep) @ 20%. It even can go through the night without discharging completely
True.. I try my best to bring its battery to zero.. But this beast just doesn't give up!
My tip is: grenify or kill Facebook apps. They eat RAM and drink battery too. My battery life increased a lot after I greenified those apps. Too bad I can't find a good replace...
greenify is for root users... if u want more from ua phone go to developer settings > select runtime and select ART mode... it wil boost your android as well as ua battery life... keep it in mind it takes more space on phone memory so that it can keep apps compileed...

Thanks all. I bought it from BestBuy yesterday. This is a gift for my dad's birthday. Seems like the battery will be just fine with his use. This is a great phone, for a low price.

I think i have drained a lot of battery since today evening after switching to ART . I know tha ART should save a bit of battery juice but it seems strange that it has been just 6 hrs from Full Charge & my phone is down to 27%.

ART doesn't do **** right now, it's still experimental and it's still a placebo
My previous mobile Samsung S+ i9001 was able to work for at least 2 days without charging, but my new Moto G 2014 works for 3 days! I'm so happy.
I usually use Whatsapp, Viber, K9, xabber and listen to music a lot (Apollo). I don't use facebook though.

Switching back to android

Hello,
i hope this is the right forum for my questions.
In the past i had some android phones. The last was the sony xperia z When it broke, i go an company phone, a Lumia 830. which i used for nearly two years.
Now it is time to switch back to android.
Before i startet looking for a device, i thought about what i like about the lumia. That are the long battery life, the regular Updates, the voice commands (Cortana), Glanze Screen and the Camera.
With these criteria I ended up at the Moto x play. I think this could be a good phone for me.
Back at the time i used the xperia z, google now/ voice commands did not work for me. I have to say, i'm living in germany, so it offten takes a bit longer til we get the nice new features..
Does the moto x play still have an advange in voice commanding, compared to the normal google now?
I did read some hands on about the moto x play. All of them were with Android 5.1... And all of them statet, that the camera specs are better than the camera akually is.
How is this under android 6? Did the camera get an update?
Thanks for your answers.
Conni
With 6.01 some people are reporting better battery life becuase of doze. The camera app is functional and that's all I'm gonna say. If you are a shutter bug try another camera app from the play store.
The real selling point of this phone is its battery though. With 2 Sims and 4g I can get 4 to 5 hours of screen on time. With just 1 sim and 3g I get 6 to 7 hours SOT.
With root and Xposed you can add features to the phone. You can also improve the battery life. For me the big reasons to root where a recovery that helps you bypass FRP lockouts, and a spectacular kernel made by Squid2, wich gives you better performance and somehow better battery life as well.
Hope this helped
dude this phone is simple perfect.photos are perfect.if u want night photos with no or much less noise,u can use the only working app with manual iso till now, moto g camera app.the photo will be with less light, but believe it will perfect!

And you play games and combined with a high screen brightness (50℅ or more), which i think is the reason why you only reach 3/4 hours SoT. Its normal.

Screen on time

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the HTC U11 before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
My best screen on time ever with this device. At least 5h of SoT
my SOT varies from no less than 4 up to 7h+ when at home on WIFI.
I consistently get 6-7 hours. Always wifi at home due to my bad cell coverage. My old Nexus 5x used to get 3-4 hours with roughly the same usage and all the same apps.

Not sure on the Google maps navigation as I haven't used it yet.
I do have the GPS ( location on /high accuracy) turned on if that helps.

Mine is on dual sim, always on 4G LTE,
Very good signal strength in my area,
At 50% brightness with auto brightness ON.
This is my SOT after my first full charge(from 100% to 1%)
On a heavier usage which included
Almost 2hrs of talktime over speaker phone(I don't like using earpiece)
1.5 hours of YT, 1.5 hrs of Amazon prime streaming,
A lot of Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, XDA app and other such apps as it's a holiday for me today.
No Facebook at all.
No games whatsoever.
Over 8 hours of sot.
I'm happy as they say it gets better after 3-4 cycles of charging are done.
Best I had so far was 1 day 3 or 4 hours time with 7 half hours sot

Battery replacement [BN40]

Hello. After almost 2 years of usage,it's time for a new battery.Reading some feedbacks from alliexpress etc..They say that not genuine batteries lack off protection circuit and temperature sensor. Is this true??Can anyone suggest me a link with genuine battery from Xiaomi to buy one?Or any suggestion of an OEM battery but with circuit protection and temp. sensor included? Thanks.
today I replaced my battery with a new "genuine" and my temperature sensor is stuck at 25° any idea?
I know it may seem obvious, BUT have you correctly double checked the connections of all the cables like in this video? https://youtu.be/35spo-0ja38 I know it's the Redmi 4 but that shouldn't actually change anything in the structure apart from the camera LED position.

Bad battery life

I got an exynos version (I think) and I am only able to get maximun 4 hours SOT. Lately it seems to have gotten even worse. I know this has already been discussed, but there seems No solution. Anyone been able to fix their battery life without compromising the phones cababilities?
This is my current battery stats
Maybe use more wifi and disable the bloatware. Here's my package disabler pro list

Turn off always on display and developer options (except when you need it). Clear the cache through recovery once or twice a week.
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
I have always on display enabled and it doesn't really drain that much. I can still easily get 6h SOT or 2 days of moderate use. I would go through your apps to see there isn't one that could be dodgey, draining in the background but hiding under system usage.

Using the s9, for gaming and social media, browsing and crap and get a tad over 4 hrs. Lets see with my habits if I can get 5 or 6 with the N9.

Developer options has extra processes and features that get activated when enabled. That's more processes in the background, hence why it's called developer options. Its meant only for "developers" for testing and extra features.

I have AOD at maximum brightness 24/7 and still get more than 6 hours of SOT so I dont think it is a huge battery drain

Nice! The black looks awesome. I got the 6gb I don't play games. Got from Samsung and trading in my 2xl. Will be weird with having no root. I like flashing kernels and scripts here and there so that kinda sucks.
Did you get the 6 or 8 ram?

Never seen that mentioned anywhere here in 6 years on XDA...interesting, thanks! In my mind it's a hidden options menu, and we're not activating new options simply by unhiding it. Would be curious to know which specific processes are being activated and what type of impact they actually have on battery life... My bet is that it's very negligible.

I got the 6. I think the 8 is overkill for me. It's great for peice of mind but with much last galaxies that were 4 and 64gb of storage I always had about 30gb of storage left.
Also, I think I saw somewhere on this forum that the 6 and 8 version offer almost no noticeable difference as far as speeds. So far I'm loving the 6. For sure signal reception is alot better. I'm coming from the s9, prior to that the S8+ and reception and signal at work was garbage. I have alpt more bars now on the N9 and have verified speeds with speed test app.
I do game a bit pubg for the most part. I will need to try Fortnite on here but I am using one of there free themes (red one) along with good lock and it's a perfect fit.
I have never rooted my phones, but I am surprised really is there no root yet for the N9? I need to spend hours to see all the content on this section for the N9.
