Wifi Latency Problem when playing online games. - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Hi, I'm in the latest stock Android pie rom. And I have some troubles when I want to play online games like pubg, mc5, etc. My router is excellent the is no problem. But when I'm playing with a friend in home my ping gets up to 700-900 ms, and for a little moments gets in normal 100-200. The major part of time I play with 700-900 ms of latency and the phone of my friend is very stable in terms of latency, always in 100-200 ms. Anyone of you have passed for this? Is a software bug or hardware problem?

this garbage is for candycrush only ...

To solve the problem, I disarm the device and take out the wifi card and lift all the connectors, so that I have better contact with the antennas and my ping is very stable now.

Some questions about the Keiser (performance and other)

Hey all,
First off I want to say that I've been using htc products since the original orange SPV and whenever I have needed anything this site has always been here for me. Fantastic work, please don't stop - ever. You're a true credit to the Windows Mobile community.
If it's not too much trouble I have some questions about the Keiser that I and i'm sure one of you will know exactly what the problem is.
Choppy music
Recently i've been finding that when playing music to a bluetooth (sony dr-bt22) or cabled headset (using converter) the music will occasionally jump quite a lot. Now it doesn't do this all the time, but I would have thought that when this happens it'd be down to some sort of bottleneck with resources. I've looked at the great taskmgr tool and can't see anything major. There's about 50% of the ram and processing power free and for just playing music I wouldn't have thought this would have drained much. So my thought was maybe it's to do with storage bandwidth, but I'm unable to find out. Can anyone recommend me a tool or a fix for this issue? Is it common?
Wifi
I barely use wifi cause it seems to get insanely hot and use alot of battery. It seems a bit of a waste to me to have a great feature like wifi disable on a device like this. I only have the o2 gprs bolt on and it doesn't connect at great speeds. I'd love to be able to automatically hop onto trusted wifi networks as I roam about particularly as openzone is everywhere these days.
Is the insane heat it's generating a sign that this should not be sat in my pocket all day or is it perfectly safe? I'm guessing this is why it's sapping all the power with all the energy wasted on heat but can't this be avoided? I'm not much of an expert on how wifi works or the safety of having it so close to you all the time.
GPRS performance
I was pretty fed up of the bills I was getting on contract with this phone so I'm now using the o2 png and using the o2 £7 internet bolton. However, I REALLY hate internet explorer! It is extremely fiddly on the move and I can't drag pages around with my finger or so it seems. Can anyone recommend me a really smart browser that is finger orientated? I also seem to be getting insanely poor performance with GPRS/3G, pages are taking a insane amount of time to load sometimes so i'm figuring i'm mostly on GPRS. How is 3g coverage these days and what speed should I be expecting? Or is this all down to the strength of the battery on the phone?
Finger Based Alternatives
I loved some of the ideas in PointUI and would love any recommendations on finger apps - especially for reading mail and controlling windows media player and most of all that annoying stock Contacts window, it can be a pain dragging a pen out or switching to the keyboard just to make a simple call.
Bluetooth Disconnection
Whilst packed into a train on my way to work one day my bluetooth headset power ran out and disconnected from my phone. I happened to be playing music and 100% volume and you can imagine what happened next. Is there a way for Windows Media Player to pause on bluetooth disconnection? It's extremely embarassing!
Thanks in advance for those that reply. I really love this phone and would love to get the most out of it.
Cheers
Mike
Lots of questions -
You do not state what ROM you are on/using - but I had many of the issues with BT and WIFI and music that you state you are having. I upgraded to the ROM in my signature and the BT and WIFI problems went away.
I use Opera now and like it better - don't set your expectations on internet on a 2 by 3 inch screen too high. When your finger takes up 7 percent of the ENTIRE screen it is going to be difficult to point accurately easily. The pointer however works a treat.
Re: BT disconnection - I was at the BYM and listening to music and it happened to me - you apologize and stop the music ASAP. Now - in church while the minister is speaking is a totally 'nother story...
Bill
Hi Whk,
I tried out duttys wm61 rom which I enjoyed the most but seemed to have the largest performance issues on. Before that it was the stock o2 xda build.
Thanks for the suggestion with opera, i'll give it a go.
Cheers!
Mike

CM 10.1.3 Streaming Video Delay Issue

Hello,
Recently took the CM plunge with my Nook HD+
Love how the lag and general sluggishness is gone, however, I have noticed something regarding streaming video. I work with a sports stats company that requires live game statistics. I have been using my tablet mainly for streaming ESPN, Big Ten Network, Xfinity TV. Since I flashed and rooted, I have noticed a pretty substantial lag in the games (If I open the application from the iPad or computer, I am noticing anywhere from a minute to 3 minute delay). Normally, you would most likely tell me "who cares", but since a major portion of the job requires speed and timeliness, I have been struggling with this lag.
Would there be any settings out there to tweak? It's obviously not the router, since before I flashed CM, it was on par with the iPad and computer versions of the app.
Thanks to anyone out there with assistance. Love what you guys do for this place.

If you can really guarantee that its not something else then just go back to the official. Make a backup of cm first so you can go right back if you want or need to.

Sudden Ping latency spike while playing games on wifi??

My internet speed = 200Mbps DL / 100Mbps UL
Using 5Ghz Connection on Wifi (I usually play near the router)
This issue doesn't happen on my other devices while playing the same games, i tried playing at the same time on my M20Pro, this only happens on my s10+
I just like to ask if anyone here encountered or experienced this issue? at first i was thinking maybe i installed some apps that can cause this issue but i recently formatted my phone yesterday evening and install the game which i play often (Mobile Legends, PUBG) the same issue occurs. at this point i dont know what to do. i don't think the device is faulty as it's working perfectly fine, it's just having occational hiccups regarding the ping, from green MS to Red MS.
I'm having same issue with my s10 lite.
tab s6 , tab s4 same problems... its from the samsung tabs... never againl online games.. on games, i check latency with apps its good , when on game it jumps from 50 60 to 100 110

redmi 9 gamer

Let me start this thread. I am playing mobile legends.
Actually i didnt encounter any lags or frame drops with my device.
My internet speed is 100mbps, i tried to play this game with no other devices connected just only mine. But the problem was the ping keeps fluctuating from 3ms to 120ms.
If i am using data\simcard i didnt encounter this problem.
I checked some redmi 9 gameplay from youtube and i saw their ping was the same with mine.
BTW i am from philippines.
Just to let you know guys, i didnt encounter this with my iphone.
i only have Facebook and Messenger and this game.
i turned off all background process including notif and printing.
Is there anyone here playing this game?
Did you notice this problem?
What did you do to fix this?

Question WI-FI issues

The following sites report issues with WIFI RECEPTION/RANGE:
First impressions
Got my Edge 20 a couple of days ago. Also have a OP Nord 2. The front on Edge 20 looks really nice with symmetrical bezels and a nice looking punchole (compared to the ugly ring on Poco F3). However, I regret buying the version with a white back...

Can anyone report whether a software update has fixed this issue?
I don't seem to have issues with WiFi on my device. It easly goes up to 290Mbps on this exact app. However, I am on a 5Ghz connection, so the problem may be isolated to the 2.4Ghz band.
There is no WiFi problem. First is 2.4 and second is WiFi 6.
I have issues on my phone. Nothing horrible, but still.
When I'm playing some games and I'm on wifi net, I allways got message about wrong connection and I have lags in the game. When I turn off the wifi and I'm on standard data, games are ok.
When I'm watching netflix or youtube on wifi, everything is ok.
