No network connection on x522 - LeEco Le 2 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have a problem on my father's x522. It ran out of battery and after a full charge it couldn't find any sim card. I've restarted the phone in fastboot mode and applied these commands:
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
After restarting the phone both sim cards were working, I could insert the pin numbers, but the phone couldn't find any network (wi-fi was fine). I've noticed that the IMEI numbers were gone so I've restored them using QMSL IMEI & SN Writer, but still the phone couldn't find any network. I've also tried to find netowrks manually but I kept getting this error: "Error while searching for network".
I've tried to flash new roms (the phone was on a stock 23s if I'm not mistaken) and modems but the phone still has the same problem. Right now I'm on a Small EUI by Ariel, the baseband is mpss.ta.2.1.c7-00008-8976_GEN_PACK-1.64611.1.68083.1
What am I missing? Is there any way to make the phone working again (before telling my father to buy a new one...)?
Thank you.

Hi, I have the exact same problem, did you manage to solve it?

my problem is the same try everything all in vain decided to to open up my phone found that the antenna cable is to near the screw and it is squash so that is how i solve it by tucking the cable away from the screw area.mine is new btw changing diferrent sim also did not help so my problem is hardware.

No.
I've tried everything, ROMS, modems, QCN backups, voodoo rituals, but still this phone doesn't connect to the mobile network.

I think I solved it by doing these steps:
1. Put the phone into Airplane mode (I'm not sure this is needed, but it doesn't hurt)
2. Go to Settings -> About Phone and tap on "Build Number" until it says you are in Developer Mode (~10 times)
3. Go back one menu, and right above About Phone there should now be an option for Developer Options, go into that
4. Turn on USB Debugging
5. Connect the phone to your computer and type "adb shell" in your CMD window
6. Run the following commands in adb shell :
pm clear com.android.providers.telephony
settings put global preferred_network_mode 9
settings put global preferred_network_mode1 9
settings put global preferred_network_mode2 9
7. Turn off Airplane mode
8. Power off and Restart the phone
9. Open up the settings app, go to the mobile networks panel, select "Preferred Network Mode" and change it to "4G"
10. Input the appropriate APNs for your specific carrier
You can try other modes, here's a list I found: https://android.googlesource.com/platform/hardware/ril/+/master/include/telephony/ril.h#228
I hope it helps.

[Q] no downloadmode and no network signal

hi can anyone help
i got my sgs about a mouth ago and thought that i would root it. i read up on it
so i rooted it to i9000xxjp2 2.2 which i thought was the lasted update then realised it was not so i went to go in download to do the lasted update but would not let me by the 3 button combo or by a jig the phone works fine itself apart from there is no network signal and can't connect to my pc but can connect to wifi
plz can any one help
Hi
try reinstalling the drivers through the program kies - see if the pc then recognize the phone.
did you try getting in recovery mode? you have cwm? you didnt say. if yes change the modem with a flashable zip ,that might solve the no signal.
thanks can not get into recovery or cwm but i can now see my phone in my computer but keeps saying connecting in kies
in phone go to settings -> applications ->develompment and enable usb debugging.
then you can connect to computer without kies.
youcan also try under wireless and network go to USB settings and choose "ask on connection"
does this helps?
did you try again to get into download mode with jig ?
i have tried it in debugging i can see the drives but when i click on them all it says is insert disk but i can go into them if debugging is turned off
and i have tried the jig several times now
if you need more info plz ask thanks
thanks for the replys
is there any thing else i can try

download drivers from perka's file stash. give it another go ...
i think you changed bootloaders and it messed the mods. but for this you'll need some with more experience then me.

hi,
If you want the 3B combo, you must flash the bootloader fix :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=785201.
Check your drivers, cable (stock one) and if you, check wireless -> USB settings -> Kies mode selected.
About the network signal, check you EMEI (*#06#), if it's a default one, something happened to your /EFS folder (restoring a previous backup can, probably solve that issue).

Can't seem to get adb to detect the phone -> so no unlocked bootloader

Or.. I've installed the usb driver package from LG. And I can go to the power off-> charger mode, and get contact with the "modem device", or whatever it is they're using, for a short while. But that won't help me get the bootloader unlock routine to work, it just gets stuck in "download mode!!!!", presumably because it needs to do some weird online routine as well, that I didn't know about, or it needs to download something via gprs, or ... and so on. And in phone mode, the serial number/device doesn't show up. (I tried removing the memory card, on the off chance that having the "mass driver" device turning up would mess something up, but no luck.
Anyway. So is there a trick here, to get adb to detect the devices, or to make the "modem device" mode have precedence, or something of that sort? I'm a bit reluctant to try disabling some of the devices, even if that would work, in case there's something else I don't know about being run half-way as well.. will the mode change on reboot, and I'll get stuck with a brick..?
Have anyone else had the same thing? I can run the pc-suite and the lg support tool just fine. But it seems that what happens is I'm able to have the adb tool detect the serial number for a very short time, and then it disappears and I can't connect to it again. Therefore, no bootloader unlock tool init..
I had the same problems back a while ago.
It got solved on the 262-000 Bootloader unlock thread.
I think you need the newest adb and fastboot drivers
and disable the modem in system settings of your pc,
but search for the mentioned thread and look it up there
Hope you get it working

Loosing connection as soon as Fastboot starts

Hi
After googleing a lot and trying at least 1001 ADB and Fastboot-tutorials I still am stuck. I only want to flash my A2 with stock ROM, but as soon as fastboot kicks in the connection stops.
My phone is unstable (how? see below) but not bricked! I can ...
... access recovery mode and fastboot anytime
... establish data and PTP connections to my PC (Win 10)
... use it normally (apps, WLAN ...) as long as flight mode is on!!!!! :cyclops:
... connect the phone with XiaoMi Tool V2 to my PC
but as soon as fastboot kicks in I loose connection.
Meanwhile I'm out of ideas how to establish fastboot-connection.
Here's the reason I want to flash - in case it matters: After an Andorid update (or at least it seems this is the reason) the screen started to unlock/lock erratically. There never was enough time to enter the code, so I made a factory reset. The problem still prevails, but without screenlock (and looooots of patience) I can access my phone. Debugging and bootloader are turned on now. The only way to stop this screenlock/unlock behavior is to turn on flight mode ...
If the phone is connected to a PC I can hear the "unplug sound" as soon as fastboot starts and XiaoMi Tool V2 looses connection.
BTW: Even with many attempts I never managed to establish a connection to Mi PC suite.
And the USB-connection-preferences very often turn to "no data connection". To fix this I usually have to plug out/in or even change USBport or even the computer.
What should I try to flash mi Mi A2?
Thanks and greetings
Phillip

Sounds strange . Does RIL work ? Like gsm and sim card ...anyway you need to buy a screwdriver from Amazon or Wish or Whereever and open your phone ..
Search for tutorial videos on youtube on " test point " . You will short the phone forcing it into edl ( deep flash ) mode . In edl you don't use fastboot but rather qualcomm 9008 drivers .
You can flash stock rom with QPST ( Qualcomm flash tool ) or just the regular Miflash from Xiaomi .
In any case ..UNINSTALL ALL I SAY ALL the stuff you have installed on your pc right now including adb .Reboot .Install Qualcomm 9008 drivers .Then download the LATEST VERY NEWEST version of Miflash that comes with drivers ..follow the instructions to install drivers and Mifash itself .
Then follow video tut to enter edl state with test point
VERY IMPORTANT HAVE MIFLASH PREPARED to flash very soon as in 1 or 2 minutes after you enter edl because there is a timeout after which you will get errors and would have to do the test point again ...
Good luck ..if the phone is stolen or contains stolen parts or you used some bypass to enter it to bypass lock screen once it connects to internet or gsm the troubles will most probably return ..if it was or is just some glitch this will solve it .
Thanks for your help!
I’m not familiar to what RIL is all about. I just googled it, and I guess it works. I can receive SMS when flight mode is turned off and I get a 4G-connection. I can’t do phone calls, but that’s due to the screenlock-problem as soon as flight mode is turned off. I can’t even enter a phone number then … :silly:
I never heard of edl before but found videos. I’ll give it a try. Thanks for all your tips, especially about the edl-timeout. :good:
One last question before I start regarding the uninstalling of EVERYTHING … How can I be sure, I got rid of EVERYTHING? Windows program uninstall showed be "Mi PC Suite", "Universal ADB driver" and "Windows driver package Android USB device class …" I uninstalled all of it.
But I also used Minimal ADB/fastboot and XiaoMi Tool V2 (and probably other stuff I don’t remember anymore) as portable versions. I can delete those fodlers, but is that really enough regarding the drivers that were installed?

sure for the portables just delete the folders
Giving up
Screwdrivers arrived, disassembling the phone was surprisingly easy. Actually hitting the tinytiny EDL-contacts was surprisingly difficult on the other hand. :silly: But I managed. But also with EDL my computer pretends my mobile doesn’t exist when plugged in. I guess there must be a hardware-problem somewhere. A this point I give up and buy another one. Thanks for your support, KevMetal.

Sorry didn't work friend. Are you sure ? Did you remember to install Qualcomm 9008 drivers from Qualcomm ? Remembering to disable driver verification on windows 10 ...try just more time ...who knows ..
I used a computer with windows 7, because I found on the internet that there are less problems than with Win 10 …

Redmi 4X [Indian] No signal - emergency call only

One fine day, while changing sim I've lost the capability of phone to register on any network. Note I've not a tech geek so I've touched any of the hardware of the phone except some cleaning of dirt by opening the back panel.
When I tried to manually register a network, then it says "Can't register on this network, try again later". I'm unable to know whether it's hardware problem or OS issue.
Findings:
Phone can detect sim
It can detect nearby signal
Things I've tried so far:
Factory reset
Network Reset
using two different sim in both slots
Under *#*#4636#*#* > Turning off and on mobile radio power
I've downloded the latest ROM using inbuilt update system, because my microusb data port is damaged for a long time ago. So I can only charge the phone.
Download any official global recovery rom for your model and look inside the "firmware update" folder you will find modem fileb"NON-HLOS.bin". Extract this file to pc inside fastboot folder and open fastboot then connect your device in fastboot mode and type the following lines one by one.
fastboot devides
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot reboot
Now your device will reboot and you get your networks.
Try this if you still having that handset. This method will work 100%.
Incase you need modem file only then feel free to contact me.

Reboot after few seconds - find device closed unexpectedly (not related to Airtel app)

Hi,
My Xiaomi Mi8 (MIUI 12.0.3.0) reboots few seconds after unlocking the screen. Shortly before there is a message 'find device closed unexpectedly'. I never used this function and it is turned off. As I could read, mostly for India users, the problem was caused by Airtel app. I'm from Europe and don't use Airtel.
Unfortunately USB debugging is not enabled. I tried to enable it but there is just to little time for it, 3-4 sec. and the reboot comes. Same scenario for safe mode. What I managed is to get device ID through ADB (it shows as unauthorized). I could do wipeout using stock recovery, but I would really like to avoid it. Bootloader is locked.
Is there a way to gain some time before the reboot comes? So that I could clear data for location / find device app, maybe this would help. Or at least some way to be able to back up my data. .
I would truly appreciate any suggestions. Many thanks in advance.
You can try:
1. Airplane mode, remove your SIM and reboot.
2. If you have any apps related to your mobile network provider, try uninstalling them. Should take much less time than trying to enable USB Debug via settings.
Edit: In case you manage to get adb access, you can uninstall MIUI's find device with pm uninstall --user 0 com.xiaomi.finddevice
Thanks @prashanth_ for your suggestions. I removed the SIM card, turned on airplane mode, rebooted but same result. I do not recall installing anything before it happened.. Is there some way to gain more time before the reboot comes? Or at least a way to copy my data so I can perform the wipe-out?
You can't gain more time as the reboot is triggered due to a failure of a package (Find Device), and you can't fix or repair the package without ADB or root. There's wireless ADB, but that still requires prior activation of USB Debugging.
Not sure if this will work with stock recovery but, can you try booting to MIUI recovery and see if MTP is available in PC? That way, you can save your data to PC. If not, I don't think there's any further options left and you've to wipe out and start afresh I'm afraid.
