How to unbrick The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 sm-T813 - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've tried using Odin to flash the operating system. When i reboot it to go to Main menu i run in to a long wait.I also get the charging box and the thunderbolt symbol is available no increase of charging.I think my tablet is not charging.IT seems to power up only.Maybe someone can tell me what is going on with my tablet.I think it might be the battery charge port.I might need it to be reprogrammed.Does anyone know how do i go about to reprogramming the tablet another way.

[Q] Dead/bricked tab

I have read through those records with bricked tabs, but without luck
When I charge it with 220v brings up an icon with a mobile and a PC.
When removing the charger is completely dead.
If I hold the volume up and down and power button, still dead
When I connect it to my PC nothing happens. No sound, completely dead.
Some tips on what I can do to put life into it in again, or is it totally bricked?
Need to know if it's GSM or CDMA and what you did to get it to this state. Bad flash?
Yes there were a bad flash. It is gsm
The phone ! Pc screen is a secondary download mode. I'd recommend leaving it charging for a bit and seeing if you can get the ! screen while connected to the computer... Them try a flash like normal.
Sent from my "better than an iPad" tab.
It has charged for 48 hours now still completely dead
Please help!!! I'm in the same situaton ((((((
Sorry guys, sounds like it needs repair from a service center... If we had a custom jig like they have on galaxy s phones it might work... But haven't seen anything like that for the tabs.
Sent from my "better than an iPad" tab.
I now got me a new tab. But I do not know what I'm doing wrong now I'm dangerously close to ending up the same space as the last.
I have the root and it worked fine, but when I enter recovery clockwork I get major problems.
Is there anyone here who can tell me step by step how I make the clockwork recovery? There is a tab that is bought in Norway
The status on my tab is now secondary download mode, but I have contact with the PC yet.

My Note is not starting

Hi everyone. this is my first post here, being a newbie android user aftter using iOS for like 3 years..
So.. i have a Note gt-N7000 for almost a week..it was new,not used. Today i was navigating in PlayStore.. etc. when i remembered seeing a post on how to change the csc code to germany to update to ICS ( my note has 2.3.6. with csc code OMN -italy- and doesnt find update on kies or OTA).. i powered off the phone, took the battery out to see the IMEI and after this the phone is dead. the battery had like 60 % left and when i connected to the device its not starting, not entering recovery mode etc. etc. I saw something on forums about "bricked notes" but i dont understand why..everything was perfect until i powered off.since then the phone its not starting.

So called superbrick happens as a result of flashing/wiping on unsafe kernels (mostly stock/leaked ICS), so if your problem happened only due to removal of battery, I'd say that you were not plagued by this particular experience, which unfortunately does not change the fact that you now possess quite expensive paperweight.
My guess is that one of two possible hardware issues might have happened: dead battery (easy to check if you can borrow battery from someone) or dead device. In both cases you probably should go to the service centre to have it repaired/replaced.
But to make sure: check the electrical connection all the way from the wall plug to your device and try loading it for some 20 minutes. Who knows...

Hardbrick is an ICS issue only. There have been a few cases of dead batteries in the forums. Try getting other battery or getting a new one...or an external charger for the one you have. If you have not wiped in an ICS Kernel then you canĀ“t be hardbricked...at least has nothing to do with the MMC_ERASED_CAP feature in ICS....hope to sort it out soon...:fingers-crossed:
You could take the power cable out and try restarting it.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 charging problem (unable to root or upgrade)

Hey everyone, after going through a number of posts here on XDA
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216962
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1005102
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1251709
and another useful site like
http://www.fixya.com/support/t11929716-samsung_galaxy_tab_gt_p1000_charging
I haven't found what I am looking for yet. I kinda have the same problem like these guys on the posts above. I got my phone water damaged a while back and since then my phone whenever on charge gives me a message like "charging paused. Battery temperature too high or too low". I have been trying to fix this problem for a while but I can't seem to find any reasonable solution. Like I understand that this could be a hardware problem and I can't do much about it if it is but I still have to try different options before I pay Samsung to fix it.
Like what I am trying to achieve is that I would like to somehow root the tab and upgrade it using just the recovery system mode. I somehow believe that if I do that this problem will miraculously vanish :victory:. The galaxy tab that I own is this one here http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0042D75TU/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00. I never rooted the tab before this problem and I am sure I never upgraded it either. So all I am left with now is a tab that turns on only for few seconds and then switches off. Even when it is on the charge the tab switches off after giving me the message "charging paused. blah blah blah". The only time it stays on forever is when the phone is on the charge (AC and not usb PC) and on Android System Recovery <3e>.
There is no possible way of starting the tab and using the android system as the message pops up just before the loading up and switches the phone off immediately. If someone can guide on how to root and upgrade my tab through using my sd card or doing it in recovery mode, then I promise to buy a couple of pints (money will be sent via paypal) or else the money goes to Samsung and ruins the whole joy of fixing my tab with yourr help. Cheers
Can someone please help me with this issue? Cheers

It is water damaged.
What makes you think you can flash a recovery that fix it automagically?
It is too risky to flash anything to a device that can't hold charges.
Anything you flash to it, if it half way done, and the tab lose charges, then it is gone, especially if it were the boot loader that was being flashed.
I went through the trouble of reading the links you posted.
If you think the I9000 user that gets the warning got it fixed, that is because he overclock/undervolt, etc..
Not water damaged.
For the other link that is water damaged, he said it recovers.
How long has it been since it was wet?
If not dried, you should buy a pack of rice (grains, uncooked of course).
Put it in a big zip lock bag, and place the tab in it as well.
Let it be in there for a few days.
Or if your local chemist sell silica gel, use that instead of rice.
Thanks for the advice mate but the tab has been like this for over 3 months. I mean I was hoping to flash a new Rom as it might not have this message set on default. I don't think the water is the issue anymore it might just be a hardware issue but I want to flash a new custom Rom just so that I can verify that it is 100% hardware problem if this message continues to display on the new Rom.
It is simply not safe to flash while the tab can't hold any charges.
But if you want to risk it, follow my signature.

[Q] Vibrant GT-I9000 Possibly Bricked?

I have a possible soft bricked Samsung Galaxy S GT-19000m which I got from a friend earlier in the week. I've done a good amount of reading and haven't gotten far, at all. (Mostly all the stickies and so forth have been read and tried)
Currently, it's dead. It does not want to charge through the usb or turn on through with a USB conencted to it. Before it died, I was able to access Upload Mode and Recovery mode but not the download mode.
The firmware has been set to a SGH-T959 (which is a Vibrant model under T-Mobile; This phone was originally with Bell before my friend flashed it.)model when I checked the about on the phone when I was able to access the main interface.
Another note: The sim card and memory card were not detected before the phone died.
Model : GT-I9000M
Manufacture Date - 10.10
Firmware is 2.2 (I think)
Any ideas?
Well, it's not a vibrant. It's a I9000M. Also, there's no such thing as a upload mode. That's probably the download mode. You need to find a I9000M and flash it via odin. What do you mean by dead though? If you cannot access download mode and it won't charge, I am afraid that there's very little you can do about it. Even with a usb jig you still need a battery with juice left.
Well, you are correct. It is a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M but the fool who gave me the phone had downgraded it to and changed all the internal files so it's now a SGH-T959 Vibrant (Which is 2.2 gingerbread I believe) on GT-I9000M hardware. The upload mode is what is available to that specific model of phone and looks like this. 1260.photobucket . com . albums/ii579/Tmanschuette/e799aab9.jpg Not of any actual use (except to dump)
The battery is dead and there is currently no way to currently charge as it does not charge through USB. When the battery still had a bit of juice left, the device worked but had clear issues. And whenever the device was powered on and a usb was plugged in, it would shut down. The software is not compatible with the hardware so it will not charge. That would be my biggest issue.
Would getting a jig and kicking it into download mode through that work at all?
Thanks for taking the time to reply. This is all very frustrating.

Well holy ****. What on earth is that? I apologise for saying there's no upload mode, it's just that it's a very rare condition... Man, that's a quite a mess you have on your hand.
Found someone who claimed ot have solved it using USB jig
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858233
If you can get it into download mode, flashing a I9000M rom should do the trick. The jigs are very cheap anyway. I am just worried whether odin will even recognise your phone.

[Q] My gt p1000 died, why ?

hello,
the last time I used my gt p1000, it was flashed with an overcome rom, and it worked fine.
But I didn't use much my galaxy tab , so I've forgot it for a long time.
Once, I wanted to use it again, to read some book on my bed, but the battery was empty.
I tried to charge it, and I pressed the power button because I wanted to see at least some indicator.
I saw a small progress bar, but immediately after it was shutdown .... forever.:crying:
I tried to charge it for a long time but it changed nothing.
Unresponsive to any "hard reset".
I went to a kind of "popular market", and asked a guy to see if there was a problem with my battery.
The guy said me that there was no problem with my battery, and that I should reflash my tablet.
So he sent me to another guy who explained me that my galaxy tab cannot be flashed, if it doesn't boot.
So basically my galaxy tab is "hard bricked".
So I'm not sure what I've made wrong.
If I buy an other tablet, should I avoid custom roms ?
Is there some tablets that resist more than other to bricking ?
It's a bit frustrating , that my galaxy tab got a short life, I want a tablet for at least 3 year !

Hmm, seems the tablet is rest for awhile, just connect the charger and let it charge for 3 hours , and then slowly HOLD VOLUME UP button and POWER button for 5 secs .. Let it access to factory setting mode, but do not use factory setting .. Just choose REBOOT ....Try it

I tried this before. At least how I would avoid bricking of my next tablet ?
Perhaps I shouldn't have buy my tablet in "black market", or used a custom rom.
Or perhaps it's a virus, too many hypothesis.
