any Ideas guys really stuck here.
The build number shows G950F which is the Galaxy S8!!! Are you sure this is a Note 9. Can you post a screenshot of the Download/Odin mode screen?
Moreover 'Hardware Qualcomm Technologies inc MSM8998' is the Snapdragon 835 processor which was there in Note 8 and the S8 series. This is one problematic device you have. This is certainly NOT the Note 9 if the processor and the build number were anything to go by.

Going by your post, it may also be that a ROM not meant for the Note is probably flashed on your phone. That would explain the S8 build number. Could you tell me how you are getting into download mode on this? The reason I ask this is because on a Note 9 you can only get into download mode by pressing and holding the Volume down and Bixby buttons together and inserting the USB cable from a switched off state. Also could you post a pic of the screen when you are in download mode.
Also could you install the Device Info Samsung app from the playstore? That will give you definitive info about the genuineness of your device.

Hej...
Maybe You can download app called "DevCheck Hardware and System Info" and see exactly what kind of hardware You have inside Your device...
Or this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo
Besides this, according to picture which You provide, it looks like kind of clone for Samsung devices...
Or i can be wrong...
By the looks of it, I'm sorry to tell you this, but you do not have the Samsung Note 9, or even a Samsung phone at all. It looks to be a clone. The CPU doesn't make sense, the display resolution is wrong, there's no warranty bit, bootloader info is unknown, etc. None of it makes sense for a real Samsung device. The reason you are having an issue with the pen is because there is likely no support in this device for a pen. I hope you didn't pay too much for this phone, and I am willing to bet you did not get this from an authorized Samsung retailer. Unfortunately, if I am right, there is no ROM out there that will solve your problem, and because you don't have an actual Samsung device, there will be no ROM here that will work for you. And because none of us know what device you actually have, none of us would be able to point you in the right direction. Sorry that this happened to you.

It can definitely be fixed, it's just a matter of how easily it can be done. Have you tried some of the unusual combinations people have come up with to get into download mode. For example removing the battery, holding power + volume down + home and then reinserting the battery whilst these buttons are held?
Also, if you can't get into download mode that doesn't mean you have to sell it as parts. Samsung will be able to repair it, if they can't tell what you did then perhaps they'll repair it for free under warranty.
Sometimes I just wonder why people try to install low-level software on their device that ISNT MEANT for their device. There is a reason, the captivate has a different model number and that is because it requires DIFFERENT software.
This comes close to me flashing the BIOS for an AMD motherboard on my X58 Intel motherboard.
reason for people installing other software is in my case because im STUPID !!! I stood almost 24 h reading forums in my country and stuff , and i googled ODIN the first link was this ODIN ONE CLIK i entered read about things there and it seamed to be for my phone, and from there we know the story. I did not think for one moment that the soft was for another phone. After i broke it i read all 42 pages and realized that.
I can't get the phone to do anything.... i can't charge it ... it's like the USB does not exist. If i start the phone unpluged, when i plug the usb in turns oFF , ass soon as i take out the USB it will start again to flash the AT&T logo...
I hope if i can't fix it, that SAMSUNG service will change it or can repair it and not charge a hunormus amount of money for that
you have give me hope telling that it can be fixed by samsung , and i still am opened for advices from u guys

I'm sorry for that. It's a little bit of frustration speaking there. But I guess you have a way bigger problem. Although that post about putting the right file on the SD seems interesting (but I haven't heard of anything like that before).
But if you can, returning the phone and hoping that samsung will fix it will be the easiest fix.

Ha yeah that'd be the easiest solution, are you saying that because you don't think it's do-able? I was thinking maybe even just trying to find the kernel in a note 9 to borrow from? Again I'm not sure .. ?
There's no bluetooth in our SPen, So there's hardware limitation to implement such thing.

Like mentioned above. It's a hardware limitation, not a software one. Our S-Pens don't have Bluetooth, so it can't be done. Even if they did, the next problem would be the system. You'd need to port the Note 9 camera with all its libraries and likely other things, also, to make the device recognise the Bluetooth signal it's getting from the pen and what it should do with it. So, even just taking a Note 9 S-Pen and using it on your Note 8 won't automatically give you those features. Quite simply, it's literally impossible, just like it's literally impossible for pigs to grow wings and fly.

Hey, I have an old China phone that's more a paperweight than a phone because every time I connect it to the internet (via a safe network) it begins downloading viruses and weird apps that try to display apps, and if I happen to uninstall them, the phone simply bricks again and doesn't works unless I do a factory reset. Know if there's any way to fix it? I can't seem to be able to root it, let alone install a custom ROM.
It's got Android 5 I believe, a friend gave it to me because it can't be used for anything because of the viruses.
I'd make a thread but I don't even know where it is right now and I think on top of all the USB port is busted.

Hi,
I'm looking into buying a S21 Ultra or S21+ Live Demo unit for multimedia use only, the seller told me there is no software support since may 2021, is it possible to flash the rom of a "normal" variant to get the latest update ?
Thanks you a lot
bump please
Demo units are not for sale, therefore almost always illegally obtained. Expect no support.
My advise is to stay away from demo units.
Standard international, up to date rom, can be flashed using odin on these device

Expect some issues. If you are looking for multimedia, remember when you do any unofficial mods to any Samsung phone. You will lose HD Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.etc. Unofficial mods dumps Google's Widevine keys. If it's not very cheap then normal S21U stay away from it. If it's like half price, It looks like a deal.
But as myself, if I was planning to buy demo unit I probably choose OnePlus or Xiaomi because they are more easily modable.

Except, you can't enable OEM unlock on the device, and the download mode screen is totally different to the standard S21...
Theory and practice are different. So I guess your response is not first hand experience?

There is only a few limitation like some benchmark that can't be installed, you can't connect to Samsung account but overall is very well usable, I guess I could go more in depth in rom flashing, rooting and so on but I don't really care right now
It can be OEM unlocked, I have the warning message at each boot that my bootloader is unlocked.
Also, I don't think it can OTA update, it's running the april update and it says that no update is available.
Hi,
Hope you're all having a nice day.
I have tried everything that every google search has come up with and I cannot seem to reinstall the original rom.
When I try to use miflash it says partition not found, which is an error I am seeing a lot.
The device does show up on cmd fastboot devices, so hopefully there must be a way to get around this but I have no idea.
I'd appreciate it so much if anyone could offer any help, I'm completely lost.
I'm currently stuck on the bootloader on the first image.

Did some googling, and figured that @Laptapper and @jnsson were right. There might be a chance you got swindled. I did some googling and found a few other phones that matched that design in the photo (at least from what is visible). The following is a list of devices with a VERY similar design:
-Honor X40 5G
-Vivo X70 Pro Plus
-Google Pixel 6 Pro
Can't say for certain if these are that phone, but it's worth looking into them just to be sure.
Where did you buy it from?
Thanks so much guys for offering to help!!
I bought it second hand a few years back online in Japan.

Can't say for certain if these are that phone, but it's worth looking into them just to be sure.

thanks mate but I think it's definitely Redmi Note 10 pro. https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_10_pro-10662.php
Is there a way I can get the old bootloader back and reinstall MIUI?

Also, I checked my list again, and the only one that it could be of the three is the google pixel 6 or 6 pro. The others were made this year and thus don't fit the criteria, but it was only last year the phone was released so there's a chance it's none of these.

Can't help you there i'm afraid. you'll need to find out what device it is before you fix it, otherwise you risk breaking it even more.

Thanks buddy, I'll try and see if I can get that working. I'll let you know the results. Meanwhile, I hope you're having/had a good day ... if I have, I've spent my weekend trying to sort this ... out. My own ... fault though but I guess it's how we learn.

So, I flashed it and now the phone won't turn on. miflash said the flash was successful, the screen went black and now it seems to be dead .
Now i'm quite literally in the dark

Which ROM you've flashed?
it's not a sweet or sweetin!
If you don't find out which exactly model you will break it more and more.....
Elephone is possible....send more pictures of it with Backsite and connectors and sim holder
Thanks

Thanks Laptapper for offering to help out
I've figured out what phone it was, but you were right, I broke it more. Now the phone will not turn on and is recognised in device manager as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM30). It also comes up on miflash as COM30.
There's a big gaping hole in my foot right now and my apartment smells like gunpowder...

Idk what went wrong. I gave you the rom for the phone you gave me a link to. Did you link me to the wrong phone?
I don't think so mate.
Read my previous comment to see where I'm at now.
Thanks again for chipping in to try and help
