Hello fellow members of the forum, first of all forgive my nefarious English. I have never posted in this forum although I have read it a lot, but I have a problem, a few months ago I tried to pass my Huawei P10 L09 to DualSim and before touching the OEMInfo or anything else in danger, I changed the signature to another original by means of TWRP following a tutorial, I remember from this forum or HTCManÃa, I do not remember right now. The rom was installed and it did not turn on again, neither in fastboot nor in erecoverý nor in TWRP, the computer detects it as "USB SER".
I have read the payment program "DC-Unlock" and I do not know if it will get me the P10 of this long lethargy in which it is submerged ...
I beg you help. Thanks for everything!

Hi still a newbie so please bare with me.
Have tried s hard reset no joy because it's saying that my P9 your device has failed verification and may not work properly.
This was after updating to 7.0 which worked for about 10 mins then this happened
Any help much appreciated thanks
Dc phonix is good software for all the problems
1. Are you or have you ever been rooted? if yes then see question 2. If no then you have bricked your phone somehow, need to restore using one of the methods described in the various threads in the forum. Download official image, use dload method etc.
2. Does the phone boot to Android? If yes then that message is normal. If no then see question 3
3. You need to restore the original boot image and relock your bootloader. If you don't know how to do either or what any of that means then refer to the alternative answer in question 1 and then stop messing with your phone until you learn how to do literally everything with it using the forum.
I realise that sounds harsh, but it's the truth. Too many people bricking perfectly good phones because they don't care to read or learn before they act.
My suggestion would be to rollback and flash b136 on MM then update.. but ensure u are on C432

Dear All!
Here is one desperate guy turning to you because I see from some XDA posts, that you know about twrp and Huawei devices quite something.
At first, I don't want to waste your time. If you can help me, I will be happy to compensate it because I'm quite serious on this (and desperate as well).
I'm a beginner on Android rooting world, and in a nutshell, I enjoy just putting my Android device to the limits and enjoy using them to the fullest.
Bad thing, that I sometimes take too much risk and this time it ended with a (Soft) bricked phone.
The phone is from a rental company, that is why I'm so stressed to get it back and going.
So getting to the point:
Device: Huawei P10, VTR-L29C432B123
(C432, as I understand, is European version and it's important here)
Current state: Device is unlocked, rooted and with TWRP 3.1.1. (TWRP installed by this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/development/testers-twrp-t3585256 and rooted by this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/help/root-huawei-p10-p10-t3589946)
After installing TWRP and Rooting device I happily enjoyed using it for some time but
things went wrong when I started to try to put back Stock rom. (+ unroot and lock the device as well).
I tried multiple posts on the internet and didn't succeed. Unfortunately, FLashify and alike apps didn't work (or crashed after installing) on my P10, therefore, I turned to TWRP.
At first, I tried to install stock firmware downloaded from Firmware Finder but TWRP put out error:
E: unknown command [errno]
Updater process ended with ERROR: 9
Error installing zip '/external_sd/dload-draft/update.zip
Then I tried some other ways and turned to wipe section. Deleted Catches and data and then also system. This I believe f-ed things up and (of course) I could not boot anymore.
Can you instruct me on installing Stock rom for my device and get it back and running?
Thank you very much and please let me know if some more info is necessary!
@paratox @OldDroid @XePeleato @Dejan Kruljac Guys, if you could take a look on this and give me a direction - I would be enormously thankful!
As you found out Huaweis work a little different. I used this to rebrand my P10: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72140996&postcount=10
I guess you can also use it to debrick your phone.

I'm shocked! Please take this as a complement but you are one sick mother****er. I can not believe how easy it was. It's like I pressed 'Enter' couple of times and that's it. Wow!
Man I owe you. How can I say thanks? How can I support work that you are doing? The way of how this tutorial was made make me want to be a better person and help others more. Huge thank you

You are welcome, but actually you must thank @crucky and @mankindtw !
I recently got the P10 after two Sony devices and a Samsung, so it was confusing for me as well. I am happy it worked for you .
Debranding is installing a rom for another region, another carrier or a change from dual to single sim (or the other way around).

edit : I have relocked my bootloader which leaves me no TWRP
Would this also work for me (VTR-L09)
I bought the phone from Vodafone Australia and I am stuck in erecovery right now, when I try to update through the dload using a FAT32 sd card the update.app won't even copy onto the sd card as it is larger than 4GB. When I try to do it using an sd card formatted to NTFS it stops at 5% and states "software install failed!"
Please help me on what to do... any help would be appreciated

I can assume that your memory is out of order.
I understood correctly, when you turn on the cubes? You did not flash board firmware?
Hello,
I want to root my Huawei P9.
Information about the handy:
EMUI 5.0.1
EVA-L09
B397
CPU: Kirin 955
Bootloader is unlocked.
I tested a lot of things but it still dont work.
I hope, I got help here.
For help to finish, I want to pay a little bit as a bonus
https://theunlockr.com/2016/12/06/root-huawei-p9-p9-plus/ have you tried this?
You have omitted important part, your cust, is it c432 or what. I.e. full name of your build as it shows in About Phone, like EVA-L09c432b397 or what.
Forget advices about rooting P9 Plus (?!), you can easily brick your phone
There is search on XDA, you can find excellent topics about rooting (this one is for SuperSU, there are others for Magisk)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/root-supersu-2-81-emui-5-t3612258
Read the guide at the beginning and posts from last e.g. month at the end (up to date with the latest builds like yours). There is search and you can search through the topic, to find details applicable for your build, apps you need the root for, etc
And post your further questions there - e.g. that topic has 570+ posts, probably tens of experienced hackers who are watching - to the other side topics like this one get opened 5-10 new every day, and chance that somebody who is knowledagbe will spot it and dare to answer (every day sinilar questions are repeted by new users, who will answer to each and every of them, every day) are negligable ;(
PS: The guide above covers only the last part, flashing the correct ZIP for rooting. Before that you need to unlock bootloader and install TWRP for EMUI 5.x - search on XDA to find the guides about
Thank you, it still works now
my phone was rooted with oreo emui 8.0.0 and i have try everything to unbrick it
dload method, huawei multitool, fastboot method(in this method my phone flashes system.img and cust.img but when i try to flash recovery and boot img i have error of partition lenght.)
I try for 5 days
if you have one solution please help me
thx
Recovery flash with following command:
"fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY.IMG" - this should be clearly after so many people asking this here.
Boot.img isn't a thing on Oreo anymore, it's now splitted into "kernel.img" and "ramdisk.img".
Don't flash them, it won't help you.
If your phone goes in ERROR mode and TWRP won't boot and you tried everything available here, then the only working solution for you seems to be DC Phoenix.
I don't like to make promotion for this tool, because it costs money - and because of the stupid users they should've make mode money in the last two months than in the last two years.
For the future: Use Google or your favorite search engine before you flash something else than stock firmware!
Especially Xposed is known for slow updates when a new Android version was released.
Here, on XDA, you should've found out, what's working and what's not.
Sorry for being a bit rude, but I get many PMs and read many post from guys like you and it's not only annyoing, it's frustrating to tell them, that they have to pay for fixing their phones since Android has the fame for being "an open system".
Because of stupid users or because your tutorial for Oreo manual update stated to search L29C432 ROM only?
Of course, one blame is for Huawei for making different phones with the almost the same model numbers, and other blame for us "stupid users" for not thinking, that there are different phone with same model numbers.
At first I did not blame you, it was my decision to update manually. But now, when you call us "stupid users" when at first your tutorial stated to search only for "L29C432" firmware not "VTR-L29C432", like your post is edited now, i call you a stupid tutorial maker.
@MikeChannon please paste here the first unedited post from this thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/how-to/guide-manual-updgrade-to-update-oreo-t3758286

Well don't involve me in "blame games"! We're all trying to do our best, so we should stop trying to find fault with each other and help those who have gotten into difficulty for whatever reason. There are things that may be obvious to us but to others, everything is difficult to understand and not obvious at all.
Mike
Hello guys,
Recently my Huawei P9 EVA-L09 kind of stopped working the screen, it blinks and goes black, both at boot and while it is on, and sometimes it worked for a few seconds, but now it doesn't work anymore.
I saw in some forums that it may be the phone's cache that is full, but I can't clean it because the screen looks like this. And even if she wasn't, a few months ago I tried to root my phone, but the TWRP switch went wrong and he kind of is out of TWRP. But the Bootloader is unlocked.
So I found Method 2 in this DC-Unllocker tutorial:
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/DC-Phoen...epair-tutorial
And this tutorial in XDA forum about how to unbrick the EVA-L09 with DC-Phoenix:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/...oenix-t3560577
So before I buy the "DC-Phoenix + HCU timed license", I need to ask if I am on the right track and can it probably solve my problem, or am I on the wrong track?
I ask because I am not very familiar with this area!
There is also this thread on the XDA forum, but it needs an SD card (which I don't have):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...08&postcount=7
And this thread that uses the Test Piont, but i've never use something like that, so I'm not so sure:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/...d-fpr-t3997631
And if you knows any other tutorial that can help me better I'm fully open to accept help!
