Hi All,
I purchased a Samsung Note-8 SM-N9500 (256GB) in Oct 2017
Within 6 months, i had a problem that it would shut off when being charged with the original fast charger.
Within 12 months, it was shutting down even when charged with regular low power charge.
Now about 18 months later, it over heats even when just used casually and shuts off.
It needs to cool down sufficiently (15-20 min before i can get it to turn and stay on!
My frustration level is through the roof!
I purchased it through a seller on Amazon and so had no warranty.
When i took it to a Samsung repair shops in Singapore, they say they don't have this specific motherboard in stock and wont help.
I have been trying to search online for months for the right motherboard, but as this is the SM-N9500 (256GB) Chinese model, i haven't had any luck.
I need HELP!
Where can i find a motherboard for Samsung SM-N9500 (256GB)?
Thanks
Nisim

Hi Everyone,
I am from the USA and bought a S3 Mini 6 months ago on Amazon since I needed an unlocked phone for traveling abroad. The phone was working fine but now just will not turn on or charge. There it wasn't dropped or exposed to water. Amazon won't let me return it since it's been over 3 months, the seller also won't let me return it, and Samsung USA is saying they cannot help because it is an international phone and inside the battery case it says it was made in Vietnam. I called Samsung in Vietnam and they said I have to contact Samsung USA.
Does anyone have suggestions on what I should do? I tried contacting Samsung on Twitter and they haven't responded.
Your help is much appreciated!

I can't help you with the warranty, but if you can find another battery you may want to test using that first.
If the battery really really flat, you can try connecting the phone to charger for half a day. Happened to mine once, it did not even display charging.

Thanks for the advice. I tried getting a new battery and charging it without the battery for day. Unfortunately, still nothing.
Just sharing my experiences here. If anyone here who's interested on used z3+ / z4 . By used I meant refurbished. I suggest to put to rest those thoughts, forever. I bought one that seems to come from Japan from wholesale online. Sometimes it's Docomo or AU branded(you'll get what what I'm trying to say later). Mine came with 1 week warranty. I return mine's within 1 day as I had a problem with the rear camera. I got the replacement unit. Then I return it again as I found out that the display came off from the bottom within 2 day. I return the phone again. Then I got a unit with a faulty flickering lcd. Then I got a unit which seems usable at first then only after my replacement period had finished I found out that it got faulty battery which in my case it turn off and show low battery warning even when it still had 70% charge left. I replaced the battery which cost me $12 myself. Then the problem still shows up. I thought that maybe it's the problem with the firmware. But, the problem don't go away even after I hard reset and through sony companion. I return it only to found out that the motherboard itself is faulty. As the replacement motherboard is expensive. It has become a living brick somewhere on my shelf . I knew I should't have bothered with Xperia but I can't help it.
There is a class action lawsuit in NJ pending regarding Samung Note 4 (.http://www.classlawdc.com/2017/04/25...failed-defect/) Apparently there is faulty eMMC chip on the motherboard that started going bad about couple of years. Many people have found an app Wake Lock as a work-around to keep the phone working little longer. I have found a thread of people contacting Samsung repair center and negotiating a motherboard replacement for about $70 (in my oppinion an only permenent solution) so I tried it. Make a long story short, when I explained the problem to the agent, who immediatly understood the problem. I made sure the cost of the motherboard replacement was going to be about $70 and change and also he emailed me 2nd day air UPS lable. In about 8 days of turnaround my phone returned with brand new motherboard, a new screen with digitizer and a new charging port installed. They even sent a new AC fast charger and a battery installed in a phone box. If the class action lawsuit wins in the court, I would get reimbursed for the repair but mean while I have a practically brand new phone that will last a long time. $70 well spent.
I've had to send my Note 4 in within the first year of ownership due to eMMC problem. The motherboard got replaced under warranty. Recently, I am getting random reboots and freezing, and now I can't even boot into android. If I can get it up and running again, I'd trade it in for $200 with the S9 Costco deal.
Please... i need more info about how to solve this problem because i have 2 phones with the same problem! 910T and n910A. Please!!!
Its been a month now since my rog phone 2 is dead or sowhatever you call it.
No display no power no charging indicator
But when i connect it on my pc using side port it keeps detecting it.
Is there anyone knows how to fix it?
I really use all my allowance just to get a gaming phone like that and i don't wanna waste it
Hi. I faced the same problem. I found out in two repair centers that due to constant overheating in games rom (ufs 3.0) in my rog phone 2 broke. This can only be solved by buying a new board. I, for example, a couple of days ago profitably ordered this on AliExpress sale for $ 150. Now I'm waiting for the package. It seems that this is a fairly widespread problem with this smartphone.
My asus rog phone 2 broke down half a year ago, when this problem was still unknown to anyone. I have not visited the forums for a long time, but now I found that this problem has become global. It's a pity that such a good smartphone turned out to be of poor quality. Only now I have the funds to pay for a new motherboard. If interested, I bought here: https://a.aliexpress.com/_9vTVx1
Yesterday I was on FB normally, with more than 30% charge, no update, and suddenly the screen flickered and the cell phone turned off, now it does not turn on, it does not heat up when I connect the charger, it only heats up a little with the wireless charger. No matter what I do, it does not turn on, the ignition combination does not work, no fasboot menu, not even the pc detected when i connected.
This happened to mine 2 months ago, i just gave up and bought another phone... Just died in my hand, i was only using whatsapp. Just died and never went back alive again
Same here. I think I have to send it to China for repair. Luckily it's under warranty.
I saw at youtube some repairs about mi 11 ultra, most of them with the same problem... I'll repair mine, just to sell it in the future.
Mi 11, Mi 11 ultra (global) has 24 months warranty, if purchased from official Mi store or authorized sellers . They changed the warranty duration and extended to 2 years.
Of course this doesn't apply to CN models.
