Note 9 with Exynos on T-Mobile - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Can someone tell me how well the international Note 9 works with T-Mobile? Is reception an issue because it's lacking band 71? Thanks.

TMobile Note 5on AT&T?

My Tmobile Note 4 runs on AT&T unlocked. Will I have similar luck with a Tmobile Note 5 on AT&T if I can get it unlocked? One thread points to a missing Band 17 on the Tmobile device, but I don't have a definitive answer. Looking for the benefit of rootable and unlocked bootloader.
what exactly is Band 17 used for though? 2G, 3G, LTE, Talk/Text?
is your N4 missing Band17 as well?
why not pick up an unlocked intrnational version?

It is missing band 17, which is AT&T's low band.
Otherwise, it works great on AT&T.

I pulled up an LTE band tester and I am using band 17 at my house on my N4. I take it that means the TMob version is out.
That's right, the TMO Note 5 left out Band 17.

Exynos Note 8 on Verizon?

Is there any Exynos note 8 that will work on Verizon? I really like the unlocked dual sim one but it doesn't have an CDMA support, but would it run LTE only on Verizon? Will it do VoLTE on Verizon?
Are there any Exynos Note 8 that have the CDMA bands to be able to run on Verizon?
Also the reason I want the Exynos is so I can run ASOP on it or as close as I can anyway. Are there ASOP ROMs that maintain the unique features of the Note 8, IE all the S pen stuff.

Note 8 really isn't the phone for you if you're looking for an AOSP ROM that retains all the S-Pen features.
Firstly, AOSP is far from d aily driver material on the S8/S8+, so I wouldn't expect a decent Note 8 build in the near future. It'll take a while.
Secondly, Verizon will work as LTE only on the Exynos Note 8 since it doesn't support any of the CDMA bands, VoLTE probably won't work due to the lack of a Verizon flashable CSC.

Kinda what I've gathered, flashing ASOP, even if it were stable, would cost me the main reason I would want the phone for.
So let's throw rooting out the window. Is there a dual SIM Snapdragon version that will work on Verizon? I have a work phone that runs on ATT and it would be nice to only have one phone to carry.

There is a Dual SIM version with the SD835 chip, but it's the Chinese variant.
Won't work with Verizon and probably won't work with AT&T either.

Well, technically they shouldn't have the required bands for th US, only for HK/China.
AT&T may work, with some tinkering, although I can't guarantee anything and Verizon is probably hopeless, the HK variant does support CDMA for China, not sure if it does for VZW.

If the specs are to be believed they should have one CDMA band that verizon uses, whether or not it's the one they use for calls I don't know. Yeah sounds like a big risk on a thousand dollar phone.
This issue is my dilemma. I actually got a Hong Kong Note 8 primarily because for the same price of the item in US without taxes, I get Deep Sea Blue, 128gb and Dual Sim
On to the technical part - Verizon uses bands 2/4/13 for LTE. If you would look at Samsung Hong Kong Note 8 technical spec page, it lists
4G FDD LTE
B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B12(700), B13(700), B17(700), B18(800), B19(800), B20(800), B25(1900), B26(850), B28(700)
This is quite conflicting with a website's information (techwalls[dot]com/ samsung-galaxy-note-8-sm-n950-model-number-differences ) on Hong Kong/China units which states -
4G FDD LTE: LTE Cat16 700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600 (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 20, 28, 29, 30)
4G TDD LTE: B38(2600), B39(1900), B40(2300), B41(2500)
At any rate, I can always shift to T-Mobile if ever my phone won't work on Verizon. '^-^

Essentially, if it indeed supports the required bands of your desired provider, it should work fine. If you end up deciding to root it I'm sure you can flash a Verizon CSC as well which may give you any missing features such as VoLTE, though I have absolutely no knowledge or experience with Verizon.

Does the Note 9 Exynos have all the LTE bands of Snapdragon variant?

I am wondering does the Note 9 Exynos have the LTE bands of Snapdragon variant?
I am thinking of purchasing a Note 9 Exynos, but there is no concrete info if the Exynos variant supports LTE bands that is used by US variant Snapdragon.
I am thinking of using it on T-Mobile and there is no info if the Exynos has LTE Band 71 (600)

I'm wondering the same. I'll look into it to see if Samsung has more details.

from the looks of it, i dont see it on the list of Band 71. but the irony of it is, the snapdragon version isn't on the list either??
The US SnapDragon Note 9 DOES have band 71 but the Exynos version does not.
Yes, The snapdragon has Band 71, but my comment is it is not on that list from that site... this is a more indepth list from phonearena that shows the list for each variant.

If you are referring to the N9600 variant. The Exynos variant has the majority of the bands that the N9600N has, but is missing LTE band 2300.

Redmi Note 9 LTE Problem

Someone can confirm to me what frequency bands the redmi note 9 (m2003j15ss) supports? My carrier on my country, technically, works on some bands of LTE B7 (2600MHz), B3 (1800MHz) and B28 (700MHz APT). I read that the redmi note 9 supports those bands, so why I'm not getting any lte signal? Someone having this kind of problem too?

Looks pretty good, but no wireless charging, no IP rating, and the color balance between the 4 camera lenses is WAY off. Hopefully ZTE will fix that with an update.
Seems weird they sell this phone in the US while not really supporting US bands.
ZTE Axon 30 5G Specs - ZTE
ztedevices.com
Code:
5G: n1/n3/n28/n41/n78;
FDD: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/18/19/20/26/28;
TDD: B34/38/39/40/41;
UMTS: B1/2/4/5/8;
GSM: B2/3/5/8;
4×4MIMO
LTE: B41/1/3
Pretty much useless on VZW and AT&T, very limited on TMo (2,4,5,12,n41)

I have T-Mobile. Not limited on 4G-LTE whatsoever. But yeah, only 1 5G band supported. No 5G in my area anyway so I don't care about that. AT&T will also work just fine.

?? It's lacking b66 and b71. 71 might not be that important unless you are out in the country, but 66 is aws and is super important these days.
While I'm not that familiar with att, it's still missing 2 out of 5 bands

You're confused. It works on 5 out of 9 ATT 4G-LTE bands (all of the major ones), and it works on 4 out of 6 T-Mobile 4G-LTE bands (all the major ones).
