There is no problem having 47C when playing games. There is no relation between disk space and CPU temp. 8-10 hours of battery life means nothing without info about display usage, wifi usage, mobile data usage. Mine can easily makes 2 days when I'm not using it at all. I really doubt it will last more than 8 hours playing games. Hope it help

20-25% of battery drop under heavy usage for an hour looks fine imo. You should take a screenshot of your battery graph and post it here so it will be easier to determine if 10 hours of battery life is normal in your case. You might want to look at this thread and compare your values: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2195079
Whatever you do, don't try to check your laptop's CPU temperature or you'll think it's about to cook itself to death!
45° is fine; maybe even a little cool for that kind of heavy usage. The One feels hotter than other phones despite operating at the same temperatures because of the conductive metal back. Don't worry.

[Q] Xperia z battery draining

Hellow I'm a happy owner of the xperia z for 10 days, but I'm facing fast battery drain when using the phone. When Im just browsing the phone, battery goes down 1% percent every 3~4 minutes... When gaming battery drops 2-3 % every 5 minutes. I need some help, I didnt charge the phone the first time for 8 hours, but i read it is not necessary. I'm rooted, 4.3 jb, doom kernel v21. I have deleted some of the bloatware and i don't have WiFi and data on all the time. Also media server sometimes goes up to 21% in battery usage.

That battery drainage seems normal to me. Playing games needs alot of battery. Battery usage depends on several things, how high is the screen brightness etc.. To your media server: are you listening to music with your phone? Or watching videos? All this is done by media server.

Some people are reporting 5 hours on screen time. If I game for one hour, i can barely get 3 hours on screen time. My usage is 30 minutes Web, music. For about one hour and a half, gaming 1 hour tops, and some browsing the phone.

Stop gaming and you'll see that you will get 5 hours... Playing is what drains your battery that fast

Without gaming, only with Music, some browsing the phone and the Web, I barely get 4 hours on screen time, for example, battery has gone down 6% from my last reply.

Most times i close some, and.the phone is new.
1% every 3 minutes or so is not excessive drain. If you do the calculations, then that works out to 300 minutes to fully drain the battery, or 5 hours.
As the phone is new, it will take a few charge cycles for the battery to reach full capacity anyway, so see what the battery life is doing in a week or so.

As i know is not good to totally drain the battery. For example, i was talking to the phone and had wifi on right now, and my. Battery has gone down 14% in the last thirty minutes. My on screen time is at almost 2 hours, without gaming, and my. Battery level is at 43%
Edit i set screen brightness to 35%, my battery level is 41%. Sometines phone draws 1% every 2 and half minutes.
Yes, I know you shouldn't completely drain the battery. Total screen time calculations should be based on the full capacity though, or I could say I only get 1 hour screen on because I always recharge the battery at 80%! (I don't. It's an example).
Using the phone in different ways will drain the battery faster than others. The battery usage you described in your first post is not unusually high and will probably improve after a few charge cycles.

Pixel 4 XL Battery Usage Bug?

Had the Pixel 4 XL for just over a week but noticed some strange app battery usage readings. As you can see from the pictures, I only used Chrome for maybe 30 seconds today but it has the highest battery usage percentage. The detail view of the app shows 0 minutes of background activity and 0 active use minutes. I just set it to restrict background usage just now to see if it would make any difference (edit: % still climbing with restricting background usage and no usage from me). I have also had this type of high battery percentage reading occur with the twitter app and Instagram app on other days. Only used those other apps for a few minutes with no background battery usage time but they also ended up at the top of battery usage list. Anyone else having this happen?
factory reset through recovery and restrict app background usage under app settings, I have sooooo many apps with restricted data and background data usage and I get roughly 6 or 7 hours SOT.
yep. I am. And there was one app, bleacher report, that would even use tons of battery when I barely used it, even after I restricted it. That one I just had to uninstall.

just finished with a factory reset so hopefully that will fix it.
Here is today's battery usage for me, restricted apps, 90hz off, Motion sense on
I've only had this 4 XL for maybe a week now btw and I'm a pretty moderate user you can see lol

General Screen on Time (SOT) - Note 10 Pro Max

I am at over 9 hours SOT with more than 10% battery intact yet.
Mostly run at 60Hz, a fair trade off for that kinda SOT.
Mine was similar 9 hours and a half , but with 120hz
Wifi, data, bluetooth on, auto lighting, and was only consuming social media and youtube that day

That is incredibly good. I haven't gotten that kinda SOT with 120hz y let. My phone's continuously connected with a smartwatch as well. But even at 60Hz, the trade off is fair enough.

Can't say it's farily good...theoretically it should give more than 10 hrs at 60 Hz.

It all depends on the use, and the time you use it, for example, if you use it nonstop with social media with a 100% cycle charge, I think with 60hz it would last 10 hours minimum, but if you use it, let's say, 3 screen hours a day, your battery will be over in day two with 6 SOT, becasue the standby drains aswell

I agree, but at the end what matters is reasonably good SOT overall and no idle battery drain. If these two are ok, everyone will be happy.
I just got 5-6 hours SOT, i dont know what cause it. Maybe you can share tips how to get long SOT on redmi note 10 pro? Thanks before
BB belongs to personal use.
I i am more kinda light user and i have about 3 hrs SOT but 3 one charge is enought for me to run the phone for 3 days
Note 10 Pro (Indian, 128GB)
Dark Mode ON
Data ON
120 hertz ON
Battery Saver OFF
Bluetooth OFF
Location ON
Sync ON
AOD ON (10 seconds)
Brightness ≤ 25%
Orientation Locked (Portrait)
Single SIM, 128GB SD Card
Lite-Normal usage, No gaming and Intensive work
Number of Apps: 107 (Play Store included some system apps as well)
Battery life is really wonderful
Heavy Usage: 6-7 hrs
Normal Usage: 8-10 hrs
Lite Usage: 10-12 hrs
Idle Battery Drain: 1-6% for 7hrs night (observed only once)
(Sorry the SS is dull and dim because I had enabled the option "Adjust text and background automatically" in Display settings, turning OFF later fixed SS)
This phone is dha bomb! Crosses 9hr SOT easy with 120Hz on with 5-7% still left.
P.S: AOD turned off, don't like that feature until LTPO displays are the norm anyways.
Hi everyone.
7h 30m on 120hz
2+ days of comfy, normal use, with high brightness, etc.
(Pixel Experience, will test on 60hz next)
I get a max of 3 hours sot with 120hz and a 80% of battery in the morning. After 2 hours and 45 minutes of screen i have 20% left
8h 45m
120 mHz, light theme, mostly high brightness. Pixel Exp.

It'll depend on your usage, apps Installed, apps that are meant to run in the background like type machine, tasker , filterbox and so on.., they are very useful apps

I use tasker to UNDERCLOCK the CPU cores, but yet still keep it at 120hz, it's still smooth, and Greenify to hibernate unused background apps tasker and Greenify work very well together

Xperia 1 II Battery

How long does is your battery last?
Mine already had battery replacement with warranty but I'm still getting roughly 4 hours of SOT. Is this normal?
Before you ask I had disabled all apps that I'm not using, been through almost every settings of the phone and no change.
And from time to time it feels slow and lagging
It's definitely not normal.

So what can it be my phone has been twice for repair
First time they did just software repair second time they replaced the battery
Maybe you should send it again for repair...
Or maybe you use YouTube and TikTok too much..
I don't think it's YouTube or tik took because the had used combined just 32 %
And 8 don't think that my phone is showing correctly because now I calculated it it have been used 102% of battery since last charging or sometimes just 30 40% but my battery is almost out
