Hi all,
I'm french, sorry for my english.
I'm using a Mi9 "Transparent Edition" (Explorer) with Global Rom, without root.
I have an issue with my motorcycle intercom Scala Rider Q3.
Bluetooth pairing is OK, I can see my intercom connected. Access rights are OK for phone audio, media audio and share contacts.
But...
I can't make a call using it: no action. With my previous phone, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, no issue. When I used it to make call I saw the call in progress on my phone.
And when I make a call manually using my phone, no sound.
Usually when intercom connect with the phone a voice tells me "Phone 1 connected". With my Mi9, no voice.
My intercom is visible with the acronym "SBC" but I don't know what it is.
Did I forget something to be able to use phone with it?
Thanks.

Hi,
Have a XDA O2i and I have a motorola blue tooth handsfree.
I have been using these together fine for a while now. I have also purchased Voice Command. So my mobile speaks the number calling and my calendar reminders etc via the phones speaker and never through the bluetooth which I would dearly love. Then all of the sudden the other day Voice Command started working through the bluetooth headset and I was getting the calls announced on my bluetooth and it was fantastic. Then I tried to use the XDA and the thing was locked and I needed to reset it. Once it had been reset, it went back to announcing stuff via the phones speaker. Now I know it can be done, I want to know if there is a backdoor hack that can make this permanent and keep the XDA working at the same time. Anyone here know of this.
On a further note, I think it would be even better if you could use the bluetooth to make calls through the voice command software rather than having to use the actuall phone which sort of defeats the who functionality.
Anyway any help would be great.

My headset (a Jabra) has 2 connection settings with the XDA2i.
In standby mode you get a headphones symbol on the PDA display
In active mode the headphones have lines coming out of them
To switch between the two modes on the Jabra you tap the call button on the headset.
I don't know if this will work, but give it a try.
I have a Tilt and am currently using the latest Hyperdragon III rom, but this has happened with several of the most recent roms.
it used to be that whenever i got an incoming call i would have both ms voice command announce the call through my bluetooth head set, while the phone would vibrate and play the ringtone through its normal speaker.
now, for some reason, in this latest batch of roms, i'm getting both the msvc announcement and the ringtone through my headset and the phone only vibrates. if i turn the headset off, then the phone rings like normal.
this gets to be a problem when i have the headset in my pocket, i start to miss calls!
has anyone else had this problem?
edit: also, something that's bugged me forever, the T key seems to always miss presses. i have to really jam on it to get it to register. if i'm not thinking about it, i'll send out texts and emails with no Ts in them at all! is there a software fix to this or is it a hardware issue?

Hardware. As to BT, I've always had that behavior (all sounds in headset), so don't have much to say, seemed normal to me.
I had that same problem, but I used the MSVCtoggle.cab and it switches it from headset to phone and vice versa.
I believe you need to go to "Voice Command" under settings > system, then select "Notifications"
There are settings that allow changes in how notifications are handled via your speaker and/or your BT.
Hope this helps.
The problem isn't the calls being announced via bluetooth, it's the fact that the phone now only rings into the bluetooth headset.
in previous roms, it used to be that when a call would come in, my phone speaker would ring and i would also receive the MSVC announcement via the bluetooth headset
now, in newer roms, the phone speaker does not ring, and i got both the ringtone and the msvc announcement via the bluetooth headset.
i don't want msvc to announce the calls via the phone's speaker
same thing happens with messages and the announce new messages feature. I get the sms read to me in my bluetooth headset, but the new sms tone also plays through the headset.
edit: if i turn off call announcements, then the phone rings through the regular speaker. i get no call announcements, but hearing the ringtone is much better! i'm using msvc 19965
same problem, please help , it is geting to be verry annoying (((
thank you
p.s. using tilt, original rom, voice comman 1.6.19214
very annoying voice comman problem
same problem, please help , it is geting to be verry annoying (((. if i take check mark out from phone checkbox, under setings voice command then it rings at a phone, but i cant use voice command to dile phone numbers. i say call "name " it finds it but doesn't ask < call "name" > , so it defits the porpose of voise comand.
thank you

Hello,
I just purchased and installed a Pioneer AVH-4100NEX. So far it's pretty slick. I'll be using it with my Galaxy S6.
I noticed that when I try to disable the Call Audio Bluetooth profile from the phone side, it re-enables itself... like I HAVE to use the NEX for call audio.
I would like to be able to turn on my BT headset and use that instead, without much hassle. There are definitely times where I'll be in the car with other people and don't want the whole car to hear the conversation. It also presents a call quality issue with the far end being able to hear the system speakers.
Do I have to unplug USB from the NEX to make this work?

I have same unit, try having headset connected before plugging in your phone. That may work

I'm bumping this up. With my previous phone (LG V10) I could select which device use to make phone calls, Android Auto device or a bluetooth headset (Plantronics). Now with a Oneplus 3T that is not possible anymore.
AA automatically rerouting "BT phone" to main AA device. That is really annoying.
If someone knows a workaround to this please give advice, thanks...
You have to have it enabled, in a nutshell the unit (Pioneer) declares that it has bluetooth capabilities and declares the bluetooth mac address when it initialize the connection, than Android Auto (trough Google Play Services which is a system app) will enable the bluetooth, set up a pairing if it doesn't exist and connect to it, so no matter what you do it will always connect to it, the only way to "avoid" this is:
a) Get another phone which connects to the Pioneer bluetooth, then connect the phone (haven't tried this, but probably will do the trick)
b) Alter the pioneer unit so it doesn't send the bluetooth mac and it doesn't declare the bluetooth service (almost impossible, you will need to replace the app on the unit)
Hello,
I got myself a Huawei P20 Pro and am fairly satisfied with it atm. But there is one issue I have now and that is that apps like Line, Teamspeak 3 and even the phone app is using the wrong microphone when using a Bluetooth headset or even an USB C -> 3,5 mm headset.
One thing that I do remember now that I am writing this, is that I have Boldbeast Recorder installed, which is a call recording app. But I never had these issues with my Samsung S7 Edge.
Anyone else having similar issues?
Update;
I made a call earlier today and had these issues, but using the handset itself. But after a while even calling seems to not be working.
I did a quick reboot and now, huzzaa, everything works again...
I have Huawei P20 Pro and I use Boldbeast call recorder. It works fine with the handset as well as work Bluetooth
Same problems and more....

I have the same problems with my P20 Pro! I can't make calls after a while with apps like messenger och WhatsApp, and after a while even audio when recording video I gone! A restart works for a while but then back to same behavior! This is really bad if they want to compete on the high end market... Hoping for a system update that fixes this ASAP!

Hmm, I think it happens for me whenever I use my Bluetooth headset (Jabra EVOLVE 65 MS). After I stop using it and go back to my USB-C -> 3,5mm headset it has that weird bug again.

For me it all starts working after a reboot :s
I got 3 days more to decide whether to keep it or not :s
So, I ended up returning my phone and got myself a Samnsung S9+ DS....
I am sorry!
I said earlier I don't have problem, but I do have problems with phone calls. The other party cannot hear me well. Maybe it is something to do with using Boldbeast. It records well, but maybe it interferes with phone calls. Can someone confirm this?
I'm regularly having the same issue.. Occasionally the other person at the start of a call can't hear me..
I have only yet encountered the issue with actual phone calls not whatsapp voice calls etc..
So I'm wondering if it's perhaps a VoLTE bug?
Or the only other thing I can think of is that perhaps the USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter plays around with the audio pipeline and doesn't reset.. Just speculation
Microphone error
Same to me here... Is there any solution? My friend can't hear me at all on the phone call... But when I playing PUBG with microphone enable they said my voice just like cartoon....
Private space is the key. I guess
Switching to private space.. ans switching back.. make u lose mic in calls.
I am sure of that.
There seems to be a few causes
Potentially:
1/ going into private space
2/ after using usb-c headphone adapter
3/ after using Bluetooth Audio
Still wondering if it's a VoLTE thing or if it also happens with whatsapp during a microphone. If it's only effecting phone calls and not apps that use the microphone that would point to volte or some other part of the call pipeline rather than the general audio pipeline
The only solution I have is to restart the phone.. That works
..
It seems like a firmware issue connected to the mic. Hope this gets resolved soon.
Same issue here.
I tried turning off VoLTE and WIFI calling. No luck.
This is really giving me a hard time. I can't make calls anymore.
People just don't hear me.
Do you guys have the dual SIM version? How many cards installed?
I removed the Sim in slot 1 yesterday and when I slid the tray back in the phone showed an update for the provider settings (and provider apps etc.)
I run the update and restarted the phone. Some provider apps were installed with the update.
--> first call went without problems.
--> maybe 2 SIM cards interfere?
--> maybe the provider update needed to be forced (by removing one of the SIM cards)
--> maybe it was just the reboot.
I'll keep you posted.
4 calls since last post (no restart since).
--> procedure might have done the trick.
Has anyone managed to fix the problem with update?
No more problems?
im having the same problem, i tried restarting and formating the mobile.
Fixes it temporary only.
Do you have two sims installed or just one? Try taking one out if you have two (see above) to trigger a provider update.
Ok, I have two sims in the phone. But now I deny Google permission for the microphone (I don't use "ok Google" to wake up), and never happens again, microphone works fine all the time.

I have exactly the same issue can hear everyone else crystal clear just they can't hear me
Hi,
I have VW Passat with AA (MIB3 based system). Android Auto works in general, but there is a problem with applications like ReplaIO, Spotify and sometimes even TuneIn.
Those start to stream audio "into nowhere". The sound volume control does not work then either from the panel or from the steering wheel. What I do to enable sound?
I need to run ANY Google based app, like Youtube or Youtube Music/Google Play Music, then stop it and switch to another app. Then it plays correctly, with sound.
Anyone got same behaviour in the car? What is the reason? Any workaround? This is not happening when same phone plays via Bluetooth, there is always the sound.
Only via AA connection, there is a problem. Later, after my manual workaround as above, switching the sources (FM/DAB/BT/AA) works correctly.
But if I disconnect the USB cable and connect it again... no sound from AA
Please help.
As far as I know, this is an ongoing bug. To reenable audio when the bug occurs you can simply dial to some phone number (best and easiest is if you call a number with an automatic answering machine), wait for the answer and then disconnect the call. Immediately you will get the sound back. In my car, when it happens, there is no sound at all, in any app, the only way is dialing.

Well, for sure the problem exists, but it seems we need to live with that. No fix until now from Google. I wonder if this is related to Android 10, have anyone tried that with earlier versions?
In my case (just tested), the phone call does not fix that. The only way for me is to play some song from Youtube Music, pause that and switch to Spotify, for example. Then it plays normally.
I suspect this bug is related to sound focus/sound routing/mixer.
This bug is related to AA only and it is happening in Android 9 also, maybe not everyday, but from time to time. I have a Note 10+ with Android 9 and a Peugeot 3008. In my case, the trigger is, almost always, the lack of internet connection in my underground parking. If the phone is connected to my car's display through AA, and if I try to play internet music (spotify or other internet radio app) before I get out from the parking and before my phone gets connected to the internet, then the music app gets stucked and the sound from any app disappears. Only making a phone call and waiting for somebody to respond or restarting the phone does help.
