So my work uses the app "When I Work" to post my schedule. This allows you to also import it to Google Calendar...I added this on desktop sometime back and always just syncs. I can view it in the Google Calendar app but Google Assistant (on Pixel and Google Home) both don't see it. They'll tell me I have nothing on my calendar. Anyway to fix this?
HI ,
I'm fine creating profile when SMS came through tasker fire up "composing email" action.
How I can also set tasker to always use Gmail android apps as default ?
Problem is that , I assigned chain of "input tab" command to "click on screen on Gmail apps" but tasker pops-up email client ( apps ) to me they some time are in different position on the screen. The Gmail apps not always on the same position I assigned the input tab.
Thank you very much.

Did you ever figure it out? I'm stuck on this now.
Greetings all,
I have an unlocked Note 9 (Model #SM-N960U1) I bought directly from Samsung that I use on the T-mobile network. I keep my schedules using Samsung's calendar app. When I attempt to add a location to my schedules more often than not the location can't be found. Apparently, my unlocked Note 9 is using "Foursquare" as Samsung's calendar maps search engine. Is there a way to remove Foursquare from my device, or at the very least select Google maps as the default for Samsung's calendar app?
You could always disable the app through adb commands
Clear Search
I haven't figured out how to get rid of "power by Foursquare" in the Samsung Calendar and make it go back to using Google Maps, but I did find a work around:
X out of the text in the SEARCH field
Select your current location from the list of pre-populated choices
It will let you switch from "Keyword" to "Address"
Then you can search for the address you really want
You should then be able to click DONE from the results
I prefer the Samsung Calendar widget since it has Transparency as an option but I guess I'll have to find a 3rd party widget that opens Google Calendar instead.
Hello,
I use Tasker mainly for tasks concerning my bluetooth devices (e.g. headphones and car to start the music player).
Recently, I started using Android Auto in my car.
In a lot of situations, I drive and my partner searches for an address on her phone. Afterwards I have to tell Google Maps on Android Auto the address. To make this process more efficient, our idea is that my partner sends me the address through a messenger and I directly have it in my Android Auto/Google Maps.
We tried the following:
My partner sent me the Google Maps link through a messenger and the Google Assistant in my car just read out the text. Unfortunately the Google Assistant does not recognize the Google Maps link.
What I want to do therefore is:
- Use Tasker with NotificationListener Plugin
- I made a profile which listens to notifications in my messenger app. As soon as there is a text in the notification which begins with "https://maps." an action is started.
- And at this step I don't know how to continue.
Can someone help me with the actions?
I have to check the variable %nltext and click on the Google-Maps link. How do I do this?
Thank you very much.
EDIT: I found my mistake. I had to set a global variable which consists of the local variable %nltext to be able to use the split function. I thought, I could also split local variables.
(Quick note- apologies in advance for any confusion- I am looking for help with the "Home" application. Not the speaker)
I have been experiencing an issue for almost 2 years now with the Home application. I have two Nest Thermostats (2020 models) that would not connect at all to the Home app using my main Gmail account.
I raised tickets with Google support and received many calls and communications in an attempt to correct the issue. If I had to provide an estimate, probably over 7 hrs of total call time with support is a fair estimate. Attempts to correct my issue include various reboots, resets, factory resets, Wi-fi setting tweaks/changes and attempts connecting with different devices include Pixel 3XL, Samsung S7, iPad 7 Gen and 8th Gen. None of which worked.
In one of my experiments to connect my thermostats I created a "Test" home profile associated with my main gmail account, my experiment did not work and created a new issue because I cannot delete that Test account now.
During one call to delete Test home profile. Google support suggested I create a Home profile using a secondary Gmail account, miraculously I was able to connect and control my two nest thermostats via the Home app. However my issue now is my entire smart home profile (lights, speakers, routines, etc) are associated with my main account.
I'm looking for a way to correct this and have my smart home profile associated with my main Gmail account. Is there any way to accomplish this? Im thinking this is a Google server side issue that I would need to raise a support ticket for because I can't do this on my end.
I recently upgraded to a P7Pro – and would like clean up/Reset Main account to control all smart functions including thermostats in my main profile.
TLDR - looking for a way to reset my Home app profile from Google server side to correct long existing issues with Home app. Currently have my thermostats associated with secondary account because they wouldn't connect to main account. As well as delete a test profile on main account I cannot remove at all.
Thanks in advance for your feedback
