Hello!
I pre-ordered my Tab S6 and plan to buy a screen protector in advanced. Quick search on Amazon.com showed me a few options which states it is compatible with Tab S6 and Tab S5E. Does anyone know if S6 and S5E has the same front panel? Thanks in advanced for your feedbacks!
The Samsung Store I went to applied a Tab S5e glass screen protector on my Tab S6. Assured me that it would fit, and it did fit quite nicely.

I am sure the fingerprint sensor is optical not ultrasonic.
Quoted:
"The 7,040mAh battery is actually smaller than the 7,300mAh one in the S4, but Samsung still promises 15 hours off battery life, just an hour less than the 16-hour Tab S4.
One thing you won’t find on the Galaxy Tab S6 is a physical fingerprint scanner. Nor does it have an iris scanner like the S4. Instead, Samsung has added an onscreen optical fingerprint scanner at the bottom of the display for unlocking. It’s the first in-display scanner in a tablet, but if it’s anything like the ones in our phones, it won’t be nearly as instant or convenient as Samsung promises."

FP sensor is optical, should work fine as long as protector doesn't distort.
Just picked up a set of cheap glass protectors on amazon. They cover the screen but are really a little small for the tab. Could be 1/8 inch longer and 1/16 in wider for perfect fit. Go on very easy tho and work with FP and s-pen. Makes the keyboard case move aroud even more when closed tho.
Does screen protector for tab s4 fit tab s6 ?

only if it was undersized. The ones I had went edge to edge and are a 1/4 inch too big for the s6
I ordered a three pack on Amazon for cheap, brand is called Sparin. The fingerprint sensor was kind of iffy after applying it, but it did work. I deleted my prints and entered them again, works great now. Fits great, only a very small gap around the entire edge. It's perfect if you have the keyboard cover case, if it were slightly wider the keyboard part would hit the protector and probably cause it to lift off.
That being said, for some reason my tablet is very laggy now. First time I've turned it off since I got it. I've already cleared cache twice but doesn't help. Even removed the protector to see if that was causing the issue since I saw someone else report similar issues after installing one, something to do with Samsung saying in the manual not to cover the sensors by the front camera even with a protector. But the thing is still laggy. Guess I'll install another protector and do a factory reset to see what happens.
EDIT: Did the factory reset with a new protector already installed and the tablet is functioning normally. So if you run into an issue like that after installing a protector it seems a factory reset will fix whatever got messed up. First time I've run into this as I've had protectors cover sensors on other devices before without harm.

I bought a double pack screen protector that said it works for s5e and s6 and they fit on my s5e and Tab s6. I just sold the s5e but I can tell you the screens are the same exact dimension as the Tab s6.
Is TGSP necessary for a tablet? Does extensive s-pen usage scratch the screen?
I use them for my phone because it is in my pocket and moving around a lot.
Does the tab have a factory installed screen protector, kind of like the Sony Tablet Z did a few years or so ago?
I'd like a protector but think a glass one will be too thick with my case, what screen protectors do you lot have on your tablet?
Bought myself a tempered/hardened glass shield, it is 0.33 mm thick. Some standard china product. Usually I’ll buy matte plastic covers for my devices but in this case I wanted the best feeling for the pen. And also best contrast for movies. So the choice fell on this glass shield.
Applying was easy. But I did get some dust just in the middle of the screen! No problem to remove it and peel dust off and put it back. Result was great. It looks very nice.
Pen experience was interesting. The stock tip, light gray, soft one. Worked not great. It sticks. So I changed to the hard black one. Now it feels like walking on ice. Very smooth. Almost too smooth! ? but I think it’s good.
Fingerprint sensor does not work though! It reads but not good and not completely. I tried to add fingerprint again but it can’t be done since it works not properly. Very sad. I liked this feature. So now I have to use some other method to unlock, currently pin code.
Touch works like before. Very good feeling, slides good.
Also added a crystal clear TPU cover on the unit to make it better to grab onto. Now my device is protected and better to handle, very satisfied.

I will order a Galaxy Tab P1000 soon and I plan to buy an anti-glare screen protector with it. I've found the Momax Anti-Glare Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Tab pretty interesting but it is quite expensive.
I wonder if it's worth 3 times other screen protectors cost. Has anyone used it?

Any updates on this?
dunno about that one, i just purchased a pack of 3 cheap screen protectors in matt - wasted 2 of them as they didnt go on to well but the third one went on a treat and now i can see the tab in bright sunlight using sat nav, also no more constant cleaning prints of the screen.
some dont like the washed out effect from matt screens - but for me it makes the machine usable.
I bought a Pro Glass curved screen protector from Walmart and everything fit perfectly, felt nice, and looks great. But the touch on the back and recent button made you have to push harder and a little of the same issue typing but not as bad. I figures turning on glove mode would fix this, but Samsung being awesome decided to remove that feature.
Any solution for this?
Zagg is even having a hard time getting this right. I'm still using a tpu protector for this reason
Just tested the Glass4M Protector, not delay feeling. So far so good.
Sent from my Samsung S7 Edge
I had one of these left over from an S8+.
I needed "now" screen protection before going to the beach. On a whim, I "wet installed" it on the Note 8.
Darned if it doesn't fit pretty darn well. Top and sides are perfect. Bottom is a bit short but it doesn't really affect anything as it fully covers all the touchable areas. It also has rounded corners which don't really match the note 8.
https://www.mobilefun.com/official-samsung-galaxy-s8-plus-screen-protector-twin-pack-63092
If you have one and want to "wet install" it, tho that's not an official install method, it does work great. Squeegee out as much liquid as possible after install and it'll take 4-5 days to perfectly dry and seal.
Perfect? Nah, protective, heck yeah.
I have read this post and tried. God it's almost perfect, i have slice a 0,5mm uncovered because of a mistake. The most important thing is that S-Pen does not leave scratches and since it's a bit small my cover do not touch the protector. Got it a week ago and i'm loving this.
sorry for my bad bad english
I did this after trying 2 glass protectors and one wet-applying one.
And I am finally happy with this.
Hi.
Could you send any pictures with Samsung S8+ official screen protector on Note 8, please.
Why on earth do Samsung not make an official screen protector for the Note 8? Why do we have to fit a slightly smaller S8+ protector instead? Bizarre.
Does the S8+ protector need to be wet installed on the Note 8 or can you just install normally?
I have been planning to utilize my Tab S6 for drawing, so when I ran across this item on Amazon:
"MOBDIK Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Tab S6/Tab S5e Paper Like, 2 Pack Paperlike Galaxy Tab S6/Tab S5e Anti Glare Matte Screen Protector with Easy Installation Kit Paper Texture Galaxy Tab S6 Screen Protector"
I thought I would give it a shot.
It 'fits' the tab S6 screen for the most part (seems a teensy-bit large), and the camera cutout is okay. It feels very different to draw on with the S Pen, just as it is designed to do. The difficulty I am noticing is that my fingerprint (registered prior to installation of the screen protector) no longer 'reads' properly. I then set out to register a 'new' fingerprint (i.e. the same one, only with the protector in place), and it now works only sporadically. This has led to more than one "Please wait 30 seconds before attempting to access the tablet again" sort of message.
Has anyone had experience with this type of screen protector? I am certain it is installed properly and, to be honest the fingerprint issue is really the major issue.
Are there other screen protectors of this type anyone could recommend? Or do they all have this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Angelo D.

If it's a matte o textured Screen Protector then it's probable applying some distortion to the screen causing the optical fingure print read to not work right. Just re-egister and you'll probably be fine.

I had no idea something like this exists! I too will be be drawing and 'painting', so this sounds great. Thanks for sharing.
I had a similar issue after installing a glass screen protector. I re-registered my thumbprint, and it helped some, but what really fixed it for me, is, I registered the same thumb in all three fingerprints. So now it almost always recognized it as one of the three, and unlocks the tablet.
Skinomi has matte protectors. I've used them in the past, don't get the horrible pen drag and indenting like on glossy protectors. But after having to remove one because of damage I decided to go back to glass protectors because of the rainbow sparkle effect the matte protectors cause, very noticable on white. Didn't bother me at first it or when using it, but after seeing the screen bare it was too hard to go back. So my advice, don't remove it if you go this route.
I bought this one:
BERSEM Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Tab S6/Tab S5e Paper Like, 2 Pack Paperlike Galaxy Tab S6/Tab S5e Anti Glare Matte Screen Protector With Easy Installation Kit Paper Texture Galaxy Tab S6 Screen Protector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WLKFKNP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_qXQKDbSEZCVDZ
Works fine with the fingerprint sensor. But, I did have to change to the gray pen tip, as it was wearing down the standard soft white tip too quickly.
I've got the att s21 ultra and it doesn't seem to have a factory screen protector.. it has a pull off film with a lil corner tab for easy pull off ..
i believe the ones that come directly from samsung have an actual screen protector.. like the jerry rig everything video.
mine is from at&t
I think there may be a real screen protector underneath that pull off film with the pull tab. Maybe you can pull back a little until the front facing camera to check if there is indeed a screen protector below.
Mine come with a factory protector below the pull off film. It's really well fitted and hard to notice at first, I couldn't work out why my tempered glass protector wasn't seating properly. All the videos I've seen didn't mention it was there. There's a good chance some have simply overlooked its placement.
For the record, my print wouldn't register through both the factory and tempered glass protectors. Might have worked if I'd noticed before hand and took the factory one off first. The tempered one was ugly anyway and had a really obvious hole for the print reader, so I took it off and chucked it. Good use of shipping costs to NZ. Fun times. Hopefully this helps someone else.
Unlocked international model with the Exynos.
Mine came also with an screen protector.
You think fingerprint works so bad because of the protector? because its not that good
I got mine from Bell in Canada and mine has a screen protector but that's exactly what I was thinking, I remember the one on my S20 Ultra being pretty good and I was shocked to see they didn't put on on the S21 Ultra, until I then noticed there IS one and it's just put on so well I didn't even notice it was there, I could just BARELY see a ridge at the edges of the display where it doesn't perfectly line up with the rounded top corners of the display
If you see scratches at a level 2...
The films that came with the S10 series were OK. I really don't call 'em screen protectors though.
Tempered glass is good but curved edges kind of kills it for me. One thing I like about my 12 Pro Max is the flat screen glass. Put a $7 screen glass on it and can't even tell its there. 3 months later still looks new. Plastic not so much.
I remember some review samples of the Note 20 Ultra had the same film as the S10 series. My Note 20 Ultra from Samsung (unlocked) did not, however. It has held up well, over the months and I cannot detect any signs of microscratches in sunlight so that's good.
My S20 Ultra DID have the plastic film on it but my border collie decided to pick it up and carry it in his mouth and the screen film had some marks on it (luckily nothing else LOL) and I ripped it off.
S21 Ultra unlocked direct from Samsung and I just see the cheapo film one on it

That is what everyone is getting. It is not a true screen protector. It is just a film which many people leave it on.

US S21s don't come with a screen protector like the S20s and Note 10s even though other markets like Canada do.
Well if you need a clear screen protector then you can try gadgetshieldz screen protector. I've been using their screen protector for more than 3 months and the quality is still good.
