Are there any issues like NFC or Widevine?
And do you still get OTA updates with an unlocked bootloader? Could you root the device too?
Yes, just flash Mi 9T pro Global rom on my K20 pro Chinese model

Don't ever do that otherwise you'll end up hard bricking up your device. Bootloader should only be locked on the original firmware(China ROM) that the device came with.

Ensure the path to the batch file doesn't have any spaces in it - e.g. copy the extracted ROM to the root of your C drive.

You need to fully extract the fastboot ROM. It is a Linux/Unix tarball. In Windows you will need to extract it twice. Open the tgz file and extract the file. I have found that sometimes the file you extract doesn't have an extension. If this is the case rename the file and add .tar on the end. Open this tar file and extract the contents. You will have a folder full of batch files, with a subfolder full of image files. You need to point Mi Flash Tool to this extracted top level folder.

You have two ways to do that. Either through TWRP Recovery (Safer) or through Fastboot (Risky) via Mi Flash tool.
Backup your data
1. Download the Global recovery rom and place it in the Downloads folder on your phone. Flash the LR TWRP Recovery through fastboot. Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik. Flash the Global Rom zip. Do a swipe to factory reset and reboot.
2. Download the fastboot image. Install the Mi Flash tool. Extract the download .tgz fasboot image on the desktop of your computer. Open the Mi flash tool and point it to the folder on desktop where you extracted the image. In the Mi Flash tool, change the option to “Clean All” and hit the flash button. Make sure you dont choose the “Clean All & Lock” option as it would hard brick the device.

Hey guys
I've been playing around with my K20 Pro, but I just came across a problem. This is what happened:
- I flashed Havoc 2.8 as my first ROM, all went pretty swell.
- After having problems with the camera app and FP unlock, I decided to flash LineageOS 17, which required me to install a different firmware, and so I did, all went smoothly again
- LOS 17 is still a bit premature for my taste, so I decided to try going back to stock. I downloaded the stock firmware for Android 9.0 and the stock MIUI 10 ROM for the K20 Pro Global which is the one I have, not a Mi 9T Pro
- I flashed both things, phone now keeps booting into recovery, no matter how many times I flashed the stock fw and ROM and wiped the phone
So now, what do I do? Did I mess up somewhere? If so, enlighten me so I can learn.
Is this solvable? I don't want to have a bricked phone like this after 1 month of use xD
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: This has already been solved ^^
The issue is you want to rollback from Android 10 -> 9.
I'm also having this issue.

Have you tried to flash .tgz stock image though miflash tool?
I had something similar yesterday, I'm assuming you can still get into fastboot, so you need to use MiFlash to flash MiUi, be careful not to select 'clean and lock' as this will lock your bootloader and probably brick the device if it's going to a different ROM from stock.
You need to get MiUi in a tar format and flash that in MiFlash.

Exactly what @monstermuffin20 said.
Download fastboot rom (.tgz file), could be global rom, extract it to a folder. Open miflash tool, locate path. Select "clean all" on bottom and right side options. DO NOT SELECT "clean all and lock" as it will brick your device.

I'm sure flashing the full ROM is enough, just make sure you UNCHECK the CLEAN ALL AND LOCK option. So go into fastboot mode and extract the tgz file, you may have to extract twice.

As long as it shows: "unlocked" when you turn it on, it definitely not bricked.
1) Download this rom: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.3.3.0....FKINXM_20190711.0000.00_9.0_in_a1c0a15dec.tgz
2) Extrat, select path on miflash tool
3) Put your device in fastboot mode
3) MAKE SURE YOU SELECTED "CLEAN ALL" ONLY
4) MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that "CLEAN ALL" is marked
5) Click "FLASH"
6) It will end in around 600 seconds, with an error (checkpoint error), don't worry, it's normal...
As I see you have chinese k20 pro and don't really want to use miui (as you've been flashing aosp roms), but start to realise that you will have to deal with it for a while, i would recomend to flash chinese rom, just in case, and then xiaomi.eu rom... it's the better way to live with miui.

Hi,
I see a new stable rom has been released:
https://c.mi.com/thread-3603220-1-0.html
I've flashed it to my chinese Mi11 using the Fastboot method and everything is working but I have a few questions:
1) What region is this ROM? EEA?
2) Will I receive OTA updates from now on?
3) If I patch boot.img with Magisk would and the answer to 1) is YES, will it be safe to install OTA updates with Magisk installed and will Magisk be removed as part of the OTA update?
Thanks in advance,
Andy

You do need the bootloader unlocked.
I downloaded the Fastboot version, copied over the required fastboot files from the xiaomi.eu rom and ran the bat file to flash_all.bat.
DO NOT RUN THE FLASH_ALL_LOCK.BAT FILE - IN FACT DELETE IT SO YOU CAN'T ACCIDENTALLY RUN IT.

Hey, did you bypass authorisation required for flashing in spflash for 12.0.7? Without bypassing auth, you won't be able to flash.

What if my phone is a chinese version?
then it chinese i need china rom's scatter file right?
What a about DA.bin file?
I've tried to flash android 12 beta and accidentally locked my device,
now my device is locked and there is no rom or recovery, I can only access fastboot.
When I try to unlock it, says "please add your account in miui settings" but I can't do that because I have no rom.
what can I do?
If you have access to fastboot you will have to flash stock miui Rom throu mi flash. After that unlock your bootloader again
Edit:

Download the latest official miui ROM, then flash

You need some one who has authorized account. It has to be done by EDL mode.

If you're able to flash the stock rom that came with the phone using mi flash, you're fine. If not, like Zoltan78 said, EDL mode 100%. I had the same issue with a Redmi K20 Pro (china) after flashing global rom and I accidentally left "flash and lock" enabled. I'm in Romania...at 4:00 AM I was on teamviewer with some Xiaomi Dev from Thailand and he had a Dev account to flash it via EDL mode, but I had to remove the back of the phone and hold a screwdriver on 2 pins while booting up the phone.
Okay if flashtool doesnt want may try
- indunesia
- global (5,4GB)
download type must be fastboot its a bit down/lower had to scroll!
dont know which you prefer/what you had
if non of that watch for type fastboot HERE
the tgz can extracted with 7zip
after that there is a tar, that can also be extracted by 7zip
if you not already have it install the latest fastboot or put the fastboot files from miui into that folder
use the flash_all.bat
Happened to me, too. I simply had to unlock the mi 11 again and Android 12 booted. Maybe I have been lucky but it worked
