Hi,
I had a iphone 3gs for a few years now and i decided to buy myself a HTC Raider (HtC vivid) This phone is able on the new network LTE. Thats one of the reasons i choiced this phone.
so i went from appel to Android.
I have not see many thing about my HTC because its new and i was wondering if any1 may know if i did the right choice or not.
On my part compare i feel that the battery goes down realy fast on heavy use but i do have a big screen so that may kinda explain it.
Also as a new android user the version 2.3 is on my HTC.
I like to tweak and customize my phones and i founded that my htc comes with a lot of stuff that i will never use...
So i was wondering what do you guys sugger me to do to be able to use this phone at is best.
thank you
I just upgraded from a Galaxy Nexus... Never thought I'd catch up to the current phone gen... The One is amazing. I've been on XDA for all my phones, but this phone doesn't seem as easy to root and what not. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Preferably to have my phone be like the GPE. I have an AT&T HTC One but it's unlocked and I'm using it on T-Mobile if that matters...
Does call/text over wifi work for GPE? This new feature blew me a mile away. I had never heard of this before D:
Do some reading bro
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
GE doesn't allow for calls/text over WiFi from what I've read. If you come across it, let me know. For now, kitkat android revolution is the best bet
imao, 4.3 roms are performing better than 4.4 ones,
so, i advise you to upgrade to 4.3 and live your life without worries about your phone

I recently moved from S3 to HTC one M7 and my other choice was z1 compact and S4 but i rejected both of them.
I think that Battery is amazing, specially the standby time, on 4.4.2. Camera is OK. If you take a lot of pictures then HTC one isn't for you as it's only a 4 MP lense though the video quality is somewhat better than most phones out there. I personally don't like sense 6 but it's quite smooth. Screen quality is simply amazing (ofcourse you'll find s4 more appealing due to its amoled display).
I would say that you should get One...I got fed up by touchwiz and samsung so i bought htc.
ALSO, if you like flashing ROMS, then don't buy an HTC as the system is ridiculously secured compared to samsung. Even Sony Xperia series is easier to play with, once bootloader is unlocked.
Keep discussing about the pros and cons of the M7 only and avoid comparing it to other phones or this thread will probably get closed by a mod (no phones comparison thread are allowed)
and btw there is already a "what do you like/unlike about your htc one" thread in the general section with tons of pros/cons.

I have been using HTC One M7 for 6+ months so this phone isn't old at all. It performs just as good as if it was purchased yesterday so there are no complaints this is a truly amazing phone. However, With new devices like M9 and a little bit older M8, should you really upgrade your M7 to the latest M9?
I know that M7 is still a worthy contender in the smartphone lineup although its 2 years old now since it was first released. The only reason why I see an upgrade would be necessary is because of the great processing power that both M8 and M9 delivers, having said that I don't mean that M7 isn't fast, its superfast but sometimes there can be slight glitches and it tends to lag - this is not on day to day basis but M7 has its own moments when it acts like that.
Any suggestions are welcome, would you recommend me waiting until M10 is out and continue using M7 till then or do you believe an upgrade is necessary, I'm not a heavy smartphone user so M7 works just fine although I feel sometimes its just nicer to have faster processing power.
Thank you, any responses are appreciated.

I think you just answered your own question.
If you are not an heavy user, there is no need to pay 600$ for a new device when the one you already have is only 6 months old....Wait for your M7 to die and then upgrade to another device. Thats my opinion
With all the publicity around SnapDragon processors, I decided to stay with my M7 for now. There is nothing I need from M9 (or M8 for that matter) that my M7 can't do just as well. So, my suggestion is to stick to your practically new phone at least till march when M10 should come out
Kinda sucks that the only roms available as just debloated stock roms. Was the HTC 626 just unpopular?
Lineage OS on HTC Desire 626? When Hell reaches freezing. My Verizion HTC 626 is rooted with SUNSHINE, with TWRP installed and no roms for the verizon line.
I bought this phone over a year ago and kinda thought it was going to be CM12 or whatever. Flashing LineageOS on friends phones makes me miss having a phone that can have a custom OS. Oh well, next time my phone is going to have a QWERTY keyboard as well as LineageOS. If I can find a phone that works on T-Mobile and has a slide out QWERTY keyboard. Like those exist in 2017/2018.
