rooting note 8 SM-950N "failed to mount preload" help! - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

hello, I am trying to root my note 8 Korean model. I have successfully installed TWRP, but when I try to wipe the phone, I get an error message saying "failed to mount preload".
the phone then boots up as if it were just turned on for the very first time and goes through the setup.

I need help fixing my HTC Vivid!

Phone is unloacked and S-OFF
So my phone was ONLY able to boot into recovery/bootloader.
I tried wiping my phone, but TWRP gave "Failed" message
I decided to simply continue and try flashing the ROM anyways
Phone rebooted and was stuck on the HTC logo
After a LONG time of waiting I decided to pull the battery out
Phone will not turn on, but my computer can detect it.
Also, I was unable to turn on USB-Debugging because, well no OS, and TWRP did not give an option to do so.
Edit: Update
Phone is now turning on and I am able to boot into bootloader
I am able to boot into TWRP (v2.8) now. Image of error below:
http://i.imgur.com/EGBpufh.jpg (embedding image only shows the large full size)
Unable to mount "System" partition
What are my options? I am using WinToolKit and it's not working. When I boot into fastmode (manually) my computer gives a message saying it cannot be recognized and that there may be a problem with the device.
Edit: solved my problem, thank you all for your help

[Q] [HELP] 3T stuck on TWRP screen. Data partition likely corrupted?

Sorry. I wouldn't post here unless I was absolutely desperate.
This started when I was getting an error message when trying to make a data backup with TWRP. So I tried to follow a suggestion online to repair my data partition with the TWRP format tool. However, it stalled so I forcibly rebooted my phone.
Now my phone can't boot into the OS and only gets stuck on the TWRP splash screen. I can use 'adb shell' from my PC when I'm on TWRP but I'm not able to see my data files with the 'ls' command.
I can boot into the fastboot screen on my phone, but I'm not able to connect from my PC. So I'm not sure how I can flash TWRP.
I've tried to use the following guide with no success. I keep getting an error message about "Sahara Communication Failed."

Thanks for reading.
The guide I linked miraculously worked after I tried again. I just had to delete all traces of the old 3T drivers from my PC and reboot. Sorry for making a thread.

Some Problems with Magisk-v18.1 or any version of it

Hello guys,
I'm trying to flash Magisk-v18.1 with TWRP. It shows a Red error "Failed to mount '/vendor' (Device or resource busy)", but sometimes it didn't show any error and told me "successful ...done". But when i reboot and check if the Magisk is installed in my phone, it's not there!
Also when i start up my phone, the middle bottom it says "Unlocked" with the MI logo above it but when i check in the setting, it tells me it's Locked. I've been trying to find solution since morning but i couldn't find any solution. To know if theres a problem with the Magisk-v18.1 version zip file, i even tried the other versions but no Luck. Can someone help

Unbrick or something

Hello I have a VTR-L09 (Australian) with stock Pie on it. I unlocked the bootloader with the code from Huawei. Then I installed the openkirin AOSP 10 Preview 2 on it which led me to not being to connect to the internet and only occasionally being able to make calls, so that was junk...
Then I tried to install TWRP and FutureROM, but something must have gone wrong (pos user error) and now I can't even use the erecovery as it, after getting the last firmware, throws a "can't verify" error. I since tried to install TWRP via fastboot, but even though it reports success, when I try to boot into TWRP recovery all I get is a screen similar to the fastboot screen only with the below message
ERROR MODE
Attention!
Please update system again
Error!
Func NO: 11 (recovery image)
Error NO: 2 (load failed!)
When I try to boot iut just gets me to the FASTBOOT&RESCUE MODE screen
Is the phone bricked? Where to from here to get it back on stock ROM?
Thank you kindly!!!
Perhaps the device cannot verify the recovery image.
If bootloader is still unlocked, try to flash stock recovery and see what happens.

MI A2 do not boot, black screen

I tried migration from android one to MIUI12, did all the proccess but when rom was about to be installed, i got an error :
Patching system image unconditionally...
E1001: Failed to update system image.
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/10_MIUI_12_jasmine_sprout_V12.0.1.0.QFGCNM.zip'
Updating partition details...
...done
afterwards i tried to do the miflash and restore my phone to the stock rom, donwloaded it directly from xiaomi website, tried to do the flashing procces but it failed, phone started with a message such like The phone failed to boot previously, do you want to "Retry"/"Shutdown" screen. (I dont know if was these words exactly but it was something like that.) I pressed retry and he didnt load... and now it shows me COM10, doesnt allow me to try flashing or anything, doesnt boot via recovery or fastboot.. when i connect it in PC it gives me the sound of connected but phone is dead..
