Recently I have not been able to use or see an on-screen keypad when I am using Android auto for phone calls during the call. I can get to the screen that is shown in my picture but there is no place to press a key pad during the call or an option for hanging up the call. Anyone else have this problem where can tell me how to fix it?
I usually initiate phone calls by telling Google to call a certain person.
Update: Well after a quick Google search I found that it was the Samsung car mode app that was interfering. So I uninstalled it and everything is fine. Let's just leave this here in case anyone else has the issue.

Hi guys,
I have a strange problem with the TYTN II. I put it to vibration using the HTC home ant it is OK, vibrating when somebody calls. Then suddenly, without me changing anything, it starts ringing as if I changed it to "Normal" profile. When I look at the HTC home I see it still has the "Vibrate" profile selected. I have to press on the "Vibrate" again to make it go to vibration again.
This strange thing happens randomly (or at least I cannot find what causes it), sometimes when I have used the phone, and sometimes even when I haven't.
Any ideas what the problem might be?
Thanks.

Have you gone to Settings>Phone and set the Ring type to "vibrate and ring"?
You can also use Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications and set "Phone: Incoming call" to "Vibrate and ring"
Hope this helps
Yes, I have all the settings. I change between the "Vibrate" and "Normal" profiles when I am in meetings (vibrate only) or generally (normal, ring + vibrate). The problem is that when I set the vibrate profile, the phone automatically rings sometimes, with sound, which I don't want in a meeting.
reminders?
This problem has just started to appear on my Kaiser. It seems to show up after a reminder appears. I have turned off all sounds and reminders except calendar reminders but vibrate still gets changed to ringing. I have also used Kaiser Tweak to change the defaults.
I don't what triggered this but it seemed to start when I uninstalled FlexMail 4 and then installed Flexmail 2007 but that may be coincidence.
A real problem in meetings or in a hearing where an official can really get upset over a ringing phone.
I still don't have a solution. I don't use FlexMail (any version) so I don't think this is the problem. It could be the calendar but I have not found any connection yet.
Work around
This is by no means perfect but it will prevent embarassing moments. Try recording a "silent" ring tone and using that for your ringer. Then all you miss are phone calls. They, of course, go to voice mail.
I had a similar issue, however it was in reverse, by once choosing the automatic profile in the HTC home.
Basically the automatic feature remains active after selecting it once, so after the reminder, even if it doesn't have time if your next block of time happens to be "free" it will revert it back to ringing.
Unfortunately I never found a solution and now have a new Kaiser, which I have avoided selecting it since getting the phone.
bluetooth too
Yesterday while on a call using a handsfree bluetooth device, a calendar reminder popped up and my bluetooth connection was dropped simultaneously. The call was not dropped and I was able to turn on the handfree connection again using the menu.
Which has led me to search for these type of problems. I found a thread that addresses a way to turn off push mail notifications. I understand the same "fix" works with calendar notifications.

Here is a thread on notifications.

I am now sure that the problem is connected with the calendar. It appears when I make some changes in an event (not always but in about 90% of the cases). I am synchronizing with Outlook and I think the problem appears when I change an event that was already synchronized. By "changing" I mean even dismissing the alarm when it goes off.
Any ideas what I could do?
I love this bluetooth headset. I was in a really noisy resturant, my friend could not even hear the noise on the other end. This jawbone has some serious noise cancelling technologies. Then I went into the bathroom where the music was insanely loud (mexican mariachi stuff) and still friend couldn't hear any music at all.
Weird but cool.
But when I press the button on my headset to hang up a call, it tries to open up the voice recorder/voice calling app on the tytn2. Very annoying.
Do any of you know how turn off this feature? I just want to stop the call. Thanks.
All I can say is that it isn't normal behavior...sorry.
I see that behavior all the time with 2 Jawbones, push button to end call, the call ends but voice dialer opens. I just keep quiet and it cancels itself, very irritating I agree.

Never heard of that problem. MAybe its the dialer or even the rom ur using to cause this problem? Have u tried a different rom with ur bluetooth? Also try to install a different dialer and see if that helps. My jawbone works perfect on my att tilt!

You using stock ROM or custom ROM?
this happens to mine as well. From what I've observed, it seem like a delay of some sort when you press the button to hang up, and then the call has already hung up on the other end, and instead of hanging up the call, the phone will just turn on the voice dialer.
it is almost certainly what fakts13 posted as a cause. I've never seen mine launch the voice recorder when hanging up from a call.
It is exactly what fakts13 said. A single button press on the Jawbone can answer or hang up a phone call, but it will also activate voice dialing if no phone call is active. The only problem that you are experiencing is that your other caller is hanging up before you, so there is no active call whenever you press the button on your Jawbone. Since there is no active call, the button press launches Voice Dial on your TyTN II. You could always disable Voice Dial altogether if you never use it.
I was wondering if anyone knew of an app that would turn the speakerphone on when you slide the keyboard open. I usually set my G1 on the dashboard in the open position when using the navigation. If I get a call I have to answer, fidget around to get it on speaker.
Another reason would be if one would respond to a text message, look up a phone number or whatever while on a call.
I use the phone a lot handsfree for work and it bugs me when the screen times out and locks on a handsfree call. I can't then easily mute, unmute, look at call durations, enter digits etc. without interacting with the phone in a clunky manner.
As an example i might be on a long conference call on speakerphone, mute my audio input to get up and walk around a little and then have to quickly unmute. To do this i have to press the side volume button and then the on screen unmute which sounds easy but can make for an awkward second or so of silence.
Basically i want the screen to stay on when in call and the proximity sensor detects it's not against my face.
Samsung has a phone app option for this i remember (keep screen on during calls).
Any suggestions ?

Use a bluetooth earpiece/headset and add that as a trusted device. All the time it is on and connected the phone won't lock. Then just set screen sleep to something more appropriate like 5 minutes..
you could try something like this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ndtsoft.sensor&hl=en
i haven't tried it, but i think it could solve your problem
EDIT: i just tried an app called "WaveUP" and it did the trick. also has a lot of other cool features, as well.
Hello buddies,
I just got a S10 but i have a weird problem during calls, when i'm talking with someone and putting the phone on my ears the person hears me far and with some cuts, but when i move it a bit or take it away of my face the person starts to hear me clearly, And on speaker call mode there is no problem.
This happend on all call apps as phone dialer, viber, fb messenger... with data & wifi also.
Tried a voice recording app, both microphones record my voice without any noise or cuts, so i guess the top and bottom microphone are fine.
What i have already done:
- Wiping data/cache/hard reset.
- Updating firmware with odin ( currently using this one CHERE ).
- Booting in Safe mode and made a normal call.
So, if someone have a similar issue or have any idea what can cause this or would fix it please help me
SOLVED: It was a hardware issue so samsung sav did the job to solve it.
Check dialer settings, disable any voice related setting, and try.
If not working, probably it's of the proximity sensor, or maybe you're just covering the microphone while holding the phone?

Checked dialler settings they are fine, couldn't find any noise reduction parameter to disable it there.
for the proximity sensor there is the light which blinks near the battery icon and when i put the phone close to my ear the screen turns off, is there a way for advenced tests on the proximity sensor ?
And no im not covering any microphone with my hand with my hand.
Edit: tried *#77692# and the phone vibrates and screen goes green when i pass my hand through the sensor a bit slower than my previous S8 but it works fine.
The only thing i can think about is that, a third paty app is causing the problem, like voice assistant, Google Assistant? Bixby?
Force stop both of those apps and try making a call.
Check app permissions & locate Microphone permission, disable them all except for the dialer (phone) apps.
Good luck.

Tried that, also tried to boot in safe mode where all 3rd apps are disabled and same thing, when the phone is on my ear the voice goes low.
Is it possible that the phone detects voice as noise ?
Hello and sorry for double post,
I just realized that the phone is using the top microphone during calls and barrely the bottom one, how can i fix this, please ? Or its a hardware issue ?
Is there anyway to change microphones sensitivity ?
Hey, what did Samsung do? I have the same issue!

Since it was under warranty, they repaired it i don't know if they completely changed the microphone or simply fixed the one inside.
unfortunately I have the same problem.
I have searched everywhere and nobody knows what this problem is, even in a samsung forum there are several users with the same problem without solving it.
Does anyone have updated information on this?

I have noticed that this failure happens to me when I talk lying in bed.
It seems that it captures my voice with the upper microphone instead of the lower one, that's why my voice is heard far away.
However, when I make a call and stand, this problem does not happen.
(This failure happens to me with calls on whatsaap)
*sorry for my bad English.
On your screen, tap the Recent Apps soft key (the one with three vertical lines on the left of the Home button).
Once the Recent Apps screen is shown, swipe left or right to look for the Instagram app. It should be here if you managed to run it previously. Then, swipe up on the app to close it. This should force close it. If it’s not there, simply tap the Close All app to also restart all apps.
Greetings,
