I thought Fortnite was suppose to run at 60 FPS on the ROG Phone 2? I know I've seen at least one video of someone testing it on this phone and they had 60 FPS as an option. On mine it only lets me select 20 or 30 FPS...

I just wanted to share this handy info I found out by trying. My Note 9 screen got shattered, and I wanted to access my files from PC but could not use the touch screen, as it barely reacted to my finger touches, and glitched all over. Then I remembered that finger and S Pen have separate ways of interacting with the screen (that is why art programs can be set to "pen mode" and not get accidental drawing by the hand touching the screen, for instance). With the S Pen, I could still use my phone (within limits of broken screen visibility) and ultimately was able to go through the process of recovering my files!
__MATE 20 PRO COMPARISON:__
On a side note, I decided to try Mate 20 Pro instead. In my opinion, it is not all that it is hyped to be. It is not bad, but, I had it for some days now and can say this:
real life battery life on Note 9 was equal if not marginally better, for my personal usage anyways. Feels like huawei "cheats" in percentage shown. But, it is about same in the end. 7, 8 hours sot, 1 charge to around 95% every afternoon.
Camera on Mate 20 pro is not that stellar. I was not blown away. For real life usage it is about same, and low light has better color accuracy but images are noisier (I use pro mode a lot). 40mp is not really crystal clear. Personal rating for end results is same level I had with Note 9.
multi super slow motion on Note 9, only single on Mate 20 Pro.
4k 60fps video on Note 9, vs 30fps on Mate 20 Pro.
Mate 20 pro other camera modes are really nice / fun. Samsung camera modes are more basic.
Macro photos on Mate 20 Pro are better, and you can get closer to subject. As I love taking macro photos this was a welcome surprise.
Screen is really nice, same level as Note 9.
Bluetooth earphones (Jabra Elite 65t) get same signal strength (not awesome). And slightly MORE lag unfortunately.
tweaked UI and general device and apps settings a lot as per usual, so overall the software / system experience is 99% equal.
Speakers are worse.
no headphone jack is annoying as with note 9 sometimes I unplugged earphoned from Nintendo Switch and plugged them on Note 9 temporarily while switching trains.
Form factor slightly smaller is good. Does not feel as premium as Note 9 but on the other hand, it's easier to handle.
Fast charging is awesone.
I miss drawing with S Pen.
Notch does not bother me, I thought I'd loathe it but meh.
less storage space is annoying (from 512gb downgraded to 128gb) as I could predownload Amazon Prime and Udemy videos, take 4K videos etc on Note 9 and never worry about space.
Fortunately I redeemed Fortnite Galaxy Skin before Note 9 broke, and can use it on Mate 20 Pro where the game loads much faster by the way.
I now feel safer and never alone, as the Chinese government is probably spying and looking after me
I got S10 a week ago, and it gets hot under very light use (like only recording video for like 5 minutes) is this normal, or should i go change it, if i can.
It is an issue with S10 that have an exynos. I am not sure but apparently the snapdragon variants do not have this problem (at least not to that extend). You can either live with this or return it and look for another phone. Personally I have returned my S10e, samsung can go f* themselves for selling two different versions of a smartphone.
After 5 minutes of recording [email protected] with my s10e Exynos, the CPU temp is 43 and battery temp is 39. The phone is a little warm on the left side but nothing that would cause me to worry.
Hi there, so I just bought galaxy s20 fe 5G, I set the screen at 120 hz, but for some reason, it goes back t0 60hz, not sure why, is it maybe the application or its juts a software bug? and no it doesn not thange the setting back to 60hz, it would be in high smoothness, but the output is 60hz, anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks in advance!
when my FE overheated, it will drop down to 60hz automatically and went back to 120hz after cooling.

Most 120Hz phones do this. The Snapdragon version should run at 120 Hz hotter. That's what I saw. A difference of 2 degrees celsius or more before throttling occuring compared to the Exynos version. I saw no problem with the Snapdragon, performance wise. Waiting on my Snapdragon European version in 2 days to report on device.
Hi just wanted provide some details between the differences between the two this time difference is not just a extra 10x camera and cemeric back but alot more
1 . Extra 10x camera
2. SFS 1.0 ( 2 fold faster than ufs 3.1)* see the explanation below
3. 12 gb ram standard on both 256 gb and 512 gb
4. OIS built in 50MP camera please note that mate 40 pro has the same camera but without OIS
5.Ceramic back
6. 3D Depth Sensing Camera instead of laser sensor which you get on mate 40 pro
all in all mate 40 pro plus is a different phone than mate 40 pro
price difference isnt much on JD.com mate 40 pro 256gb is 6999 yaun ( 1060$) and mate 40 pro plus 256gb is 8999 yaun ( 1360$) so for 300$ more you get so much more that matters alot.
Based on the results of measuring the homegrown Huawei SFS 1.0 flash module, it was possible to establish that it provides almost a twofold increase in the speed of operation in comparison with the UFS 3.1 flash memory.
According to reports, the sequential write speed was 1280 MB/s, and random 548 MB/s.
In comparison, these figures for UFS 3.1 are 700 MB/s, and 200-300 MB/s, respectively, GizChina reported.

I wish the Pro+ was available internationally. I bought a standard Pro model for myself
I thought I would create a gaming thread for S21 series and S21 Ultra so we can see what great games we're all playing and what runs good for example.
My device is the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 16gb ram 512gb storage, UK version in Phantom Silver.
Real Racing 3
Runs at maximum settings at 120fps on S21 Ultra with no slowdowns at all, highly recommended! My video is capped at 60fps and 1080p
I recorded this using the built in screen recorder so is capped at 60fps and 1080p on YouTube but it gives you an idea of how well it runs while capturing video.
Skyforce Reloaded
Runs at 120fps on S21 Ultra, its a fantastic game!
Captured at 60fps and 1080p.
Cookies Must Die
Another amazing game which runs fantastic on S21 Ultra, The video is capped at 60fps and 1080p
Asphalt 9
Recently updated so now runs at 60fps on maximum settings on S21 Ultra
Are you using a hardware controller on these games?
If so what kind?
PS4 or PS3 controllers work ok?

I'm just using touch controls on those games but I use my xbox one wireless controller on games too as it works with pretty much all games via Bluetooth and obviously works playing xbox one on your device through xcloud or streaming from your console using the xbox app and xbox game pass which also runs fantastic.
Hope that helps
galaxy s21 ultra exynos 2100 12gb ram runs all games at max settings no problem
