I've been starting to get this problem recently where even if I stood directly next to my router the phone would just disconnect from the wifi at some point. Had this on my old iphone se too but not on my computer so idk how it could be related. Anyone else been getting disconnected from the wifi a lot?
It could be a issue caused by the router. See if this happens when your phone is connected to other routers.
When this happens again, turn your router off and back on and see if there's any improvement in the situation.

Running CM3.6.5 and cannot get the wifi to work. When I turn it on after a few seconds it says "Disconnected" right underneath it.
On the wifi networks I try to connect to my home router but it doesn't do anything. the signal strength:excellent securitypen, i hit the connect button but nothing.
I've turned off and on the wifi with no luck. Been searching for help but can't find any. If this has happened to you and you've fixed it let me know how i can do this.
Thanks!~
Have you only had this problem on one network? At work, every few days I loose my connection to our Linksys. A coworker's iPhone also fails to connect, but another coworker's Dell laptop can connect fine. Watching logcat I can see it attempting to connect, then spitting out an authentication failure error.
Restarting the Linksys seems to solve the problem. Not sure what is special about the two phones that makes everything crap out.
the only wifi network i use is my home one right now. haven't thought about restarting it. gonna do it and hopefully that will be the fix i've overlooked ><
/slaps his forehead.....
restarted my router and that fixed the problem. for some reason i've never had to do this but now i know.
thanks for the post! wifi working now.
Glad that helped. I'm still a little stumped about why it's doing this, but it sounds like we have the same issue. Restarting the router is easy enough though.
Now at home, I have a Linksys running Tomato firmware, and it never boots either of the two G1s we have. So it's just the stock router firmware for me, and it only affects G1s and iPhones (or at least, it affects them and not a laptop with Intel wireless).
i am having the same issue. does anybody knows if its a rom problem? I am running cyanogen 4.3.1. in college, where my laptop can connect fine, the g1 can not, and has a very low signal level while laptop shows excellent.
Just picked up the One yesterday and it's an amazing phone, however whenever I connect to my WiFi it connects quickly and then when I go to load a webpage or do anything with data it stutters, WiFi drops, 3G reconnects for a few seconds, tries to load and then WiFi reconnects. That cycle keeps going until I have to just turn WiFi off.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Yep driving me nuts trying to transfer from my old 3D. WTH.
no problems here with my netgear r6300 AC router, the initial connection does seems to take a bit longer than my old evolte but other than that not a single problem.
Hey,
Does anyone else have this?
I have a bunch of wifi connections my phone has been connected to before and has stored so it can connect to them automaticaly.
But for some reason every now and then is loses wifi connection and when i look in my list of wifi connections, it can find all connections accept the one that is known.
I thought at first it was my router but i noticed this happened also at my work and at friends houses.
The only way to get it working again is by restarting my phone.
This has happened to me the last couple of weeks, this is not something that happened from the start
Hi!
Have been using Xperia TX for about a year, and my routers and their settings remains the same.
However, starting from this week, my Xperia TX have WiFi disconnecting issues on both routers (a Netgear and a Belkin router).
I checked the WiFi settings menu when the problem occurs, it displays "Connecting..." and soon "Disconnected".
Switching WiFi off and turn it on again or enabling Flight mode and switch back would not help.
The only way to solve the problem is to restart my phone, however this is getting pretty annoying.
Have someone faced the same issue, too?
Is there any troubleshooting I can do?
Thanks!
It turns out the WiFi chip was dead.
Changed the main board and solved the problem.
I have several different devices connected to my wifi and dont have any issues. When I connect my Note 9 to the network it initially works fine. After being connected for a while my internet seems to go down. My phone shows that I am still connected to the network but says internet may not be available. All the other devices in my home lose internet connection as well. I can't get back on to the internet until I power cycle my router. Sometimes it will happen immediately after connecting my phone and sometimes everything will work for a while before going down. It has never happened when the wifi on my Note 9 is off. It's pretty frustrating and I haven't been able to find solutions. Anyone got any ideas or had a similar experience?

Sometimes, the router's memory becomes full and needs flushing in order to work properly.
If the router needs rebooting often or you find yourself unplugging your modem every few days, you might need to request a new modem from your ISP ( if they provided it ) or purchase a new router.
