Split Headunit output to play different source from front/rear speakers - Android Auto General

Hi, I was looking for this but couldn't find an answer. I have a headunit and would like to play audio from different sources in front and back.
Yes, I have 2 zones available but don't know how to split them by source.
Thanks

Read the manual?
What does this have to do with Android Auto?

Very helpful, thanks.

I have PX5 headunit with this ROM. It's not supported by the manufacturer nor found in the ROM description that's why I'm asking general question.

So, absolutely nothing to do with Android Auto. Wrong forum.

Can some admin please move it then?

[Q] Truecrypt port to Android

Anyone here can port TRUE CRYPT to Android? I am ready to donate if anyone can do this.
Even a basic program that can encrypt and decrypt SD card, at least the external SD card would be acceptable. This way we can be assured that data on the external SD card is secure, and store documents on that.
I looked for something along the same lines for a while, tried every app I could find on the market that was related, but none of them came anywhere near truecrypt's functionality.
Sent from my Samsung Captivate.
Current rom: Perception b8
Agreed. If anyone could get an app that could atleast encrypt the whole external card, I'm good. Don't even want the functionality of mounting n dismounting as a drive.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I would LOVE, I repeat LOVE, if TrueCrypt came out for Android.

Me too!
It's the only application I can't find alternative on Android. I need a port of TrueCrypt or FreeOTFE very much!
I think we could start a bounty for anyone who can do this.

I emailed them a long time asking if they would consider a port and I never heard back from them. Other people should email them and ask so they see that there is a desire for it
Sent from my Captivate
i would love this!

This is the place where people can post what they want. Please feel free to post on this forum too, as it would be seen by android dev folks.
It would be super awesome if they ported it to the Android platform. In my experience, BB 9700 is a truly secure device with its full AES-256 encryption. I used to use it before i got my Captivate so i can def say i miss that feature.
How about a mod moves this thread to main Android forum to get more exposure.

Truecrypt has an dedicated forum, I would say ikt would make a lot of sense to go their and propose realistic outlines/requirements of what we expect from a TC version for Android. There seem to be a lot of folks who cling to the notion of "if it is important do not put it in a handset with a Google OS because Google kis teh evil".
Voice your opinions and needs there, maybe that makes a difference.

i am already following abt android security on google forums
Is google down?
Software is called Truecrypt. Surprisingly it has an official website, truecrypt.org. Checking that one out you find a blue box on top which has a simple text link going to the forums.
http://forums.truecrypt.org
really not that hard to find. Linking the actual thread won't do anything either way cause you need to sign up for full access. Once you are, just use in site search with the term Android or something.
...this chunk of zeroes and ones has been generated by flashing a 400 Watt halogen bulb into the open fibres of a transcontinental communications cable...
I'll give it a try.
I'm setting up a machine to work on it right now, will let you know how it goes. First attempt will be to get some sort of command-line based utility operational.

I've been interested in making something like this. I do have android development experience as well.
I'm assuming opening a truecrypt container would be a good place to start.
How interested are you guys, really?

Let me google that for you.
You can try using a USB OTG cable, if it recognizes, then root and use Sixaxis Controller for wireless use ( but check compatibility first)
@dip_spit
If that would require simple googling I wouldn't be asking, Are you trying to get your first 10 posts?
It's second silly answer on this forum I've got and both are from americans, please do not post in my threads yankees :silly:

Well then maybe Google and don't ask because it was that simple. Also, yes, I'm trying to get my first ten posts 200+ posts after I already got my first ten. And it's not a "silly" answer. It's THE answer. And don't sh!t on my answer because I'm American, most of the people on this website are from America, so that's who you're going to get answers from. And I'm not a yank idiot, I'm from Tennessee which is in the South, and even more so I'm ethnically Russian and American by birth. Next time try Googling before asking a question and you won't have any threads for us American's to answer in.
Edit: And really dude? MY first ten posts? You've only got FOUR, so you're one to talk. I've been more helpful for longer than you've even been around.

You should be happy anyone answered your post anyway much less dip_spit since he knows what he's talking about! You're the one coming to us "Americans"...
Be careful with whatever other crap you're going to reply with or your "thread" will be deleted..
I apologize,
I didn't meant to sound like a troll or make anyone angry or upset.
thing was I already knew everything and I asked my question wrong.
proper question is: do HTC Desire bluetooth module "supports" dualshock 3 as the sixaxis controller app site states that not all new Samsung and HTC devices does that.
Important - Due to the non-standard protocol that the controllers use to communicate with the host, this application requires root access. Additionally, it is incompatible with most HTC devices and some newer Samsung devices. This is due to the required bluetooth protocol not being implemented on these devices. We are actively looking into a work around, but currently the only solution is to install a custom firmware, such as Cyanogenmod, that supports the required protocols.

once more I apologize @dip_spit @MrMike2182
For now rooting this thing is stressful to even think about it, with my old Samsung it was easier.
And about this link with USB OTG, European model doesn't really support it sadly.

I'm taking a shot in the dark here but I'm going to guess that no, it won't work. If newer HTC devices are known not to work well, and given that our phone is only a year or so old, I'm going to guess that it won't. You can always fire up the compatibility app and see if it'll work first or you can just go off and try it.
HOWEVER, I'm pretty sure it said something on the Sixaxis app about it not working at all if the USB OTG won't work, but I didn't look it up again this time.
Also, rooting this device is fairly simple, I've written up a guide in the General section if you need a walkthrough.

Please read this forum section description, standard Android head units are not Android Auto devices!
If you don't know what is the Android Auto system, just have a look:

MTCD
I did not know where to post this same question so I would like to piggyback on this one.
looks like there is a lot of development work here for MTCB and that the MTCD is starting. I have a newsmy and I am thinking of switching to a different unit with more support and activity. I am looking at 2 units, both Joying, JY-UQ130 and JY-UL135. one is MTCB and one is MTCD, I know by reading the forums I can update the UQ130 to 5.1.1 So wich would you do and Why?
I see one prior post that says MTCD, but no real reason.. THANKS

Hi guys, is anyone able to identify the type of MCU this Seicane Android 10 head unit is (pictures attached) and if its possible to root and install any custom rom? I have only recently made this purchase and I am yet to receive the head unit so unable to give any further info. It was purchased from aliexpress and the info in the specs is a bit vague. Any help in identifying this unit would be appreciated.

Plethora of options & no idea where to start

Goodmorning, I've been trolling the Android Auto forums for a long time now and can't find what I"m looking for. I hope this is the correct forum. I have a 2010 Mazda CX-7 and want an android auto head unit that I can root and mirror my phone, play videos, and do other cool stuff. Can someone recommend which head unit will be best for my ride. I already installed a rearview mirror camera with front and back recording capabilities so I don't need an additional camera installed. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you.
You want an Android Auto unit or Android Head Unit (chinese hack)?
And crickets.
I like the fact that I can customize the Android head unit. And I like the cheaper price point, but I haven't been convinced by any of the reviews. Most of the reviews are negative.
Now the Android Auto units are super nice too. Seem to be very functional and come with a higher price. I have a OnePlus 7t & pixel 2xl if that makes a difference for which one I should buy.
Oh and thanks for replying to my thread!

The MTCD forums suggest the dasaita (HA) MTCD units are okay. Head on into that sub forum and perhaps look for the reseller on aliexpress.
Thank you!
