You could try a factory reset, as this can sometimes sort no OTA coming through. I think you will have to download each update released in order though.
You could just download the latest filmware for your device from SamMobile and flash the filmware with Odin (using Odin 13.3.1)

This is exactly what you need to do. If you have a u variant grab the carrier-specific copy of what carrier you are currently on. Realisitically speaking, it doesn't matter which version you grab as they're all the same, but different carriers.
My N950u wouldn't upgrade once I put a Verizon sim in it, and downloading the Verizon fw made it actually want to work. Despite researching extensively, I wasn't able to find the answer to this until I had tried it for myself.
Good luck!
I suggest using Frija tool for downloading the firmware. I have a paid account for Sammobile for fast downloads and it still takes 5hrs. Frija takes minutes.

I downloaded the ATT firmware from sammobile but its just giving my phone barebones features. I am trying to get the userdata file for att note 8 for the features.
After much searching and testing i found that the CCT firmware under the SM-950U IS THE ATT VERSION even thou it says unknown i have flashed it and it works without any issues that i am aware of.
i don't think so. i would use this website to download any firmware. its reputable and has been used all across the s8 forums.

Also, what app did you use to disable bloat?

From what i gathered and i have personally went up into the ATT stores and asked multiple employees who have new phones to run speed tests its around 8 mbs down apparently att is seriously throttling their networks in major areas. I didnt use a app you can just hover over the app and disable it. most of them can be uninstalled as well the only apps i couldnt kill or get rid of was device help and att remote support
and it seems to be around prime times when it happens. sadly att isnt what they used to be seing as tmobile is rising and verizon right behind them. to bad tmobile has no coverage where i am or id be using them nor verizon.

Hi again, sorry for all the questions... do you have a guide for that? I d/led PrinceComsy's Odin v3.12 and the CCT firmware.
Unfortunately, there's no USERDATA file in my firmware zip. I'm using the SM-N950U1. Can I use the USERDATA file from SM-N950U on my SM-N950U1?
Yes u can use the U version for the U1 the U is for locked software and U1 is unlocked software that's the difference flashing the locked software won't make ur phone locked either just the software your putting on your phone. I didn't use a guide I got the or in from someone else post

Samsung Science is only for the US version of the phone's. I wish they had a site like that for the international versions. But you can go to sammobile.com and check if your phone has any upgrades available. I doubt for the N950F that it doesn't have a newer software update, but on my phone the last update I got was in May which is the latest for my model unfortunately.
I have checked this and it looks like there are 3 updates available but I can't get them for some reason.I get a message that my phone is up to date all the time.
Sorry didn't realize you had International..my bad.

There is always some risk, as with all things in life, (interrupted process, corrupted files,
wrong files, etc) but the problems commonly arise when flashing unofficial roms

No he won't...If he is still stuck on the March update (see post 1) then he is not getting updates at all. It's not a question of staggered releases for different countries, it's likely because his CSC doesn't match.

You can search updato.com or sammobile for the proper firmware for your device and flash it with the latest Odin. If, for example, you have an N960F, then search for that and then download the most recent specific country firmware that matches your original csc (XME). This will install the latest firmware and should also allow future updates. Suggest reading around a bit before you flash for the first time to be sure you're comfortable with the process. Better to be sure

The 5 minute call for regional locks in a one time thing. You shouldn't have to worry about that ever again, regardless of what firmware you flash.
Now you can install the latest UK firmware, but not sure if OTA updates will work that way. If not, you can just repeat this process whenever new firmware is released.
Otherwise, flashing original firmware for your device (Malaysia) should fix OTAs if that's what you want
Hello all, I was trying to find a way to turn on WiFi calling on my Unlocked Samsun Note 9. I found a couple articles saying that I need to flash the phone for this to be possible? While I have never done this before I'm willing to try but I don't want to screw it up. Could someone help me find the proper version to get my wifi calling back? I don't mind the garbage Verizon installs as long as I could get my Wifi calling.
I found a couple other articles but I was confused and I want to make sure that I install the proper version. As it is in the title, my phone is a SM-N960U1, unlocked running on Verizon currently.
Thanks
Use the SamFirm tool to download load the most recent VZW firmware, then use parched ODIN 3.13.1_3B to flash it to your device. This will wipe your device so make sure you back everything up.

SamFirm to download it
ODIN to flash it.
So you actually use both. And. You can download the firmware on different websites, but the SamFirm tool is SO much quicker. That's why I always recommend it. You can find rhr tool and instructions on how to use it with a Google search.
Before I start, I apologize and I know this shouldn't be in the Q&A Thread but I am a new user and unable to post it in the other thread
So I recently purchased a Galaxy S10 from Best Buy and I noticed I didn't have Advanced Call features such as Wifi-Calling and Video Calling. When I had asked about this, it turns out that I had purchased the unlocked S10 and had them set it up with my provider as Verizon.
I have been reading some posts by iBowToAndroid and I am wondering if I would be able to flash my phone into being locked with Verizon and get the Advanced Calling features without losing anything on my phone currently.
I already have the G973U firmware files from iBowToAndroid's post as well as the Verizon USERDATA file. I also tried setting up Samsung USB Drivers but the install failed. I'm not sure if this is necessary as I am still very new to this whole thing.
If this is possible, what version of Odin should I be downloading?
Is there anything else that I would need?
I'm using v3.13.3 and it's working perfectly fine.

I had this happen as well...then got a firmware image (from sammobile) with a later date than the firmware that was on my phone already. Flashing that newer firmware image was successful the first time through. Although in my case I was flashing back from T-Mobile firmware to unlocked firmware, same idea. I think that it might have been related to needing a newer boot version or something, but until I got the later version of unlocked firmware, the flash would fail reliably at abl.elf, before it got rolling.
And the version of Odin that worked for me was the patched Odin3_v3.13.1_3B. Didn't try the unpatched version.
I have a Samsung note 9 SM-N96OU through AT&T that will not update. I have called AT&T and Samsung and they tell me they don't know what is wrong. My only option is to mail it to the company and see if they can fix it. I go to settings and check for an update but it says that there is no update available that the phone is up to date. I've tried a factory reset, and tried using smart switch and changing the date. But still I'm on android 9 and 1.0 UI. Is there anything else I can do to update and possibly make future Updates take place as usual.
Is AT&T your phone service? Or are you on another carrier?

Yes AT&T is my carrier
Don't send your phone in. Just update to current firmware using odin.
Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I was going to try that but have no idea how to go about it.
Google Frija...its much faster than Sammobile. Install Frija on your computer. Once done enter the correct information in Frija for the device you have. You will have to enter USC as At&t does not post their firmware. All the firmware is the same and it will provision to your At&t sim. Frija will give you the latest firmware. Make sure you have the correct version of odin which is 3.14.4 I believe. After you download the firmware from Frija extract it leaving you with BL..AP..CP..CSC..HOME_CSC
Once you have it extracted open odin..power off device..boot into download mode. Connect device to computer odin will recognize your device. In odin put BL in BL spot..AP in AP spot...Cp...and csc. Click start and odin will install the firmware.
Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Have you been able to figure it out? I've never actually done the process of using Frija, but I used Odin plenty of times on my old phones (DROID RAZR MAXX and Note 4), not my Note 9.
XDA in general isn't much help for "noobs", which no offense, I assume you are. I've been there. Take a look at this site, hope it helps.
https://www.reddit.com/r/samsung/comments/fyvfkg/quick_guide_to_update_your_firmware_using_frija/
Frija is where you download the firmware from. Its very easy and much faster than Sammobile. Download it..unzip on computer and flash the files in Odin. Those are the directions I just gave.

I will try to use frija with Odin. As for the software version it says Android version 9 baseband version SM-N96OUSQU1CSAA I've had the phone since March and Samsung that the warranty is has expired. The sim card is trough att that's who the phone plan is through.
The firmware you need is N960USQS5ETH1, This is the current firmware for At&t. As I said once you download it, you have to extract it. The files you will have will be AP..BL..CP..CSC..HOME_CSC
When you open Odin version 3.14.4 you will see spots for the files i just mentioned. Just put each one in correct spot. Since you said earlier that you have already done a factory wipe don't worry about home_csc. That file keeps your data. But if you do want to keep data, use the home csc in csc spot in Odin. But if you just use csc it will wipe device

Yeah just go to the link I gave you, hopefully it's dumbed down enough for anyone to understand.
It sounds like when you open up Frija, the model you would choose is SM-N960U and the CSC would be ATT. Leave it on Auto, hit Check update, then Download it. I wouldn't know what to do without referencing that link I posted. Just be sure you read Step 6d/6d(i) carefully, as it details which files to load depending on if you want to wipe or preserve the data on your phone.
Actually, after downloading the image for my own phone, which is the same as yours, except the T-mobile variant, I see that there are 6 files in the zip. The guide I linked you two uses only four, whereas you choose between the files which the names begin with CSC (wipe everything) or HOME_CSC (Saves your user data). It doesn't appear that the USERDATA file is not used in the process, according to the steps made in the link I posted on this thread earlier.
Wrong....At&t does not post firmware on Frija. All the Snapdragon firmware is essentially the same. The firmware will provision to the At&t sim. He could use USC..TMO..CCT
