call log empty - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
installed MIUI 11 couple of days ago.
Everything 8s fine except for one thing.
Call log stays empty.
Checkt apps right management for phone and contacts. Both have full rights.
Any idea what could cause the not logging?
Rom is the 11.0.5.0
Might be AFwall+?
Cheers

Edit:
Seems like im not the only one.

[Q] Random freeze rebooting Xiaomi Mi5 problem!

I bought new Mi5 and I still didn't put Sim card inside wanted to configure and see what phone can but when I entered configuration menu after 1st power up I manage to choose language and few things more and phone rebooted, then I manage to almost finish configuration then freeze and reboot again, after few tries I finished configuration but freeze (usually only last few seconds) and reboot happen again. Then phone offered me update software which I manage to reach from 3rd time and successfully update only with Mi PC Suite, not from phone update app. Interesting, all flashing proces with Mi PC Suite always is going as should be, without reboots etc... Crap happen only in OS. Now I got latest China stable (I bought phone in China) which has same problem with rebooting. Then I wiped all I can, factory reset etc...nothing helps.
-Still didn't unlock phone in case I need to return it.
-Didn't try global Rom because I can't flash it
I was reading forums and found a lot people have same problem but didn't find what they done on the end to make phone work.
If anyone have some solution, let me know. Returning phone from EU to China is not 1 day Or does someone know if someone in EU can service this if needed?
thanks in advance
huh,
I solved (for now) problem with installing this, developer version of miui 8 from here
http://xiaomiadvices.com/download-miui-8-6616-china-developer-rom-recoveryfastboot/
Downloaded it and installed with English version of MI PC Suite. Developer rom is Chinese (as my default software version in phone) over latest Chinese 7.3.10 miui
With original software phone was restarting, freezing randomly every 30 seconds or 1 minute of usage.
Now need to wait to unlock phone so I can use Global version of rom to get play store etc...

China Stable to Dev impossible: Unfortunately Updater has stopped (still locked devic

Hi,
today I got my MI5 (32GB-Version) from UUonline with the chin./engl. ROM (MIUI 7.2.6.0 (MAACNDB) | Stable). My device is already locked (request for unlocking I have done but stilll dont have permission). This installed ROM is horrible! Without Playstore (OK, I knew), many chinese Apps, lots of chinese notifications, WLAN "without" connection, ... and last but not least: chinese keyboard which I cant chenge (dont speak chinese .
I tried to install the chin. DEV with the Updater. But I got the following error: "Unfortunately, Updater has stopped". I downloaded all the availlable ROMs from MIUI (stable/dev/global/chinese // 6.8.12 / 6.8.18 / 7.5.2.0 / 8.0.3.0) - but everytime the same error.
So I tried to do it with this MI PCSuite" (latest Version). It takes some time and at the end I get the message, that I first have to update my device before I can use this piece of s(oftware). What a great idea!!! Therefor I try to use this "joke".
At the end I tried to use MI Flash with FB. But, as expected, it quits with the error "device locked".
If anybody has an idea/hint on how to get rid of this f*** ROM that I can atleast use this phone in engish (later I want to install german / sMIUI after having unlocked), I really would be very happy. It drives me crazy and I tried now hours and hours.
Anybody here who has the same problem or better: solved this problem or knows how to solve this problem?
Thanks so much ...

How to downgrade from MIUI 12.5 beta to MIUI 12

Hi,
I had the crazy idea of installing the MIUI 12.5 beta.
Since I had so many problems with Whatsapp, with Viber and also with Signal, I tried in vain to use MIFlash with "fw_raphael_miui_RAPHAELGlobal_V12.0.4.0.QFKMIXM_09 65bd52b6_10.0," error: Missmatching image and device, and then I thought about doing the factory data reset hoping to find myself restarting with MIUI 12.
Upon restart, unfortunately, the mobile phone is repaired with MIUI 12.5 and with the possibility to choose between English and Chinese, after the installation the Play Store icon is also missing!
I ask you how to solve this problem.
Thanks for your help.

OTA update not available

Hello,
I use MIUI 12.0.4.0 Stable on my Mi 9. When i check if there is any update, it says I've got the newest possible MIUI version. I know, that there is also 12.0.5 or even 12.5 MIUI available, but my phone tells me it's not... I've got Global version - 12.0.4.0(QFAMIXM). I tried to change regions over the world or even download stable ROM and install it via Manual instalation in settings, but it says it's not official or it can't be flashed... I also don't use proxies, vpns and I checked different internet providers. Why can't I just update my phone OTA?
+1. Same with me - I'm with 12.0.4.0 Global and no OTA available. Any idea please?

My error is Can't verify update. Can't flash this stable ROM.
Finally it worked for me. I was stuck with 12.0.4.0 without OTA update available. Manual update to 12.5.1.0 faced with above mentioned error. Then I tried manual update to 12.0.5.0 - it went well without any error. After phone restarting, the 12.5.1.0 appeared in OTA update, and I let it do its job.

sorry for the late question.
i'm facing the same problem. the error message in my phone is "Can't verify update" - Can't flash this stable ROM.".
I couldn't find miui 12.0.5.0 download link, so I'm still stuck...
I have found the link!
This link is only for our case - updating 12.0.4.0 to 12.0.5.0, and after that updating to 12.5.1.0 is available via OTA.
Thanks a lot @mttca for the idea.
I'm also on mi 9 and I succeed updating from 12.0.4 to 12.0.5 but 12.5 wont appear on my OTA and also wont let me manually update, what sould I do?

Well I'm still stuck on 12.0.5. Don't know what to do
Same, mi 9 global updated to 12.0.5 still can't update to 12.5
Change the Region in settings and search for updates.

u can update downloading the 12.5.1 global rom (fastboot) and flashing this via fastboot
Do i need to unlock the bootloader for that ?
The funny part is after updating to 12.0.5 the option to update from a file disappeared

Put your device into air-plane mode (i.e. disable all connectivity options)
Go to Settings -> Apps -> All (tab) -> Google Services Framework
Click on Clear cache (if enabled)
Click on Clear data (and OK the warning)
Click on Force stop (and OK the warning)
Disable air-plane mode (e.g. enable WiFI)
Check that you have access to the network
Wait (usually no more than a couple of minutes)
Optionally, go back to Settings -> About Phone/Tablet -> System Updates -> Check now
You should get a prompt to apply the new update (assuming there is one available for your device)

Doesn't work, also "clear data" clears the cache and force stop the app
