Hey Guys,
I just recently upgraded to the Note 10+ (was so hard getting rid of my 8) and I came to the quick realization that a lot of the ring tones and notification sounds that were on the 8 are not on the 10. Would anyone kindly be able to copy the 8's notification sounds and ring tones and zip them up and share please? I would very much appreciate it!!
Anyone?
I have a major collection from s7 Edge to s10 in a zip package, will try to upload.

Warning, it is not a flashable zip, you can use it as user ringtones or make it a system ringtones by adding and replacing in system/media/audio
And apply the proper permissions to every single file.
@xman66 thank you so much, very appreciated!!
Please fix the broken link.

Howdy,
Does anyone know where I can download the smart alarm tones found on the Samsung Fascinate. There are about 5 of them titled Mist, Breeze, Forest and a few more. I believe these are .ogg files.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

You could just search for them with root explorer. Here i'll try it now. Please hold :-D
They are in system/media/audio/ui. Good call on the .ogg part, they are in fact.
Sorry, I have rooted my phone and replaced my operating system (or whatever you'd call it). So I no longer have those files. Is there anyway to get them online?
Yes, you can download the system dump and looking in there.
Where would I be able to find the system dump?
Ok, so for fun I looked for those files and found them with root explorer. When does the system use these files? I would like them for my alarm, but stock alarm app wont play them. I have never heard them since the day I purchased the phone.
Edit: I found what they were. Sorry duh
I found them in the EB01 stock rom
where did you find them? trying to look through the fascinate stock rom so I can put it on my TB
Decided to be active and zipped them up for you:

I am running CM7 and loving it, but I really miss a couple of the notification tones from samsung. Mainly sherbert and postbox. Is there anybody that could either just zip those two or post the whole apk. Thanks.
Here you go. This should be all of the notification and ring tone sounds from the original Captivate.
Just unpack the .rar and place the entire folder path on your external SD. System should pick up the path the next time you go to assign a notification tone or ringtone.
Thank You!
Thank you!
SGS 1, CM7, was really missing Postbox as my email tone! I couldn't find anything like it online, inlcuding with Zedge.
Thanks! I've come back to this thread a few times over the past year (and a few phones) to grab these.
Postbox, Cloud and Tweeters baby..

Hi guys just installed null rom, excellent rom just was hoping that some files may have been tweaked for louder ringtines and notifications but alas no, I tried changing some of the files in system /etc/default gain file like the note 2 volume files but never made any difference, can someone please tell me how this may be accomplished as there are quite a few threads on the low volume thanks guys
Hi all,
Recently purchased the Oneplus 3t and I am loving it thus far, however, I was wondering if you could help with something.
On my Xperia Z5, after installing whatsapp, one of the notification sounds was 'Lazer' and I want to use it again on the OP3. However, I have noticed that a number of the default tones have not downloaded onto the OP3. Is there anything I am missing? Is there a way to get this sound onto the device? OR if anyone knows how I can get that sound in MP3 format I can do the rest myself?
Thanks in advance.
P.S I would have posted this on the OP3 forum but alas I need 5 posts over there to do it (which surely just encourages people to post unnecessary crap not the other way around!)
No one?
Lazer is probably an Xperia only sound. Google Xperia sounds. I had the same when I left my Moto X Play.

You sir, are a hero. Some might say that is overstated....Not me. Thank you so much.
I love this forum.
Whilst I am on a role (or more, you guys are on a roll) does anyone know how to get my outlook events synced into the google calendar app and widget?
Hi all,
I use a couple of apps that I use custom notification sounds for. However, when I test or get a notification on said app, the Note 9 "seizes" the notification and plays the default notification. IOW, my custom setting has no affect. So I miss the event in question. Happens on multiple apps, so I know it's the phone.
This thing is amazing, once I got other things straightened out. It really is the Star Trek tricorder. ?
Any ideas? Help much appreciated!
Rich
Bumping this... anyone?
Try a reboot. Should work after the first reboot when you add custom sounds so I doubt it is a legit fix. Something else must be going on.

Been there done that... no change
Have you tried deleting your ringtones or sounds and pasting them back in folder? I'm just throwing mud at the wall here. Once I paste in the folder if it doesn't work right away a reboot let's the OS see it. Is it regular mp3 or ogg format also?

They're ogg format. Tried everything you said. I put custom notification sounds in 0/notifications and it works fine on every other device I own, reboot or not so I know it's in the phone or Oreo. The app (Space Launch Now) lets me set any notification sound I want and has a test button. When I do the test or get a notification the phone won't see the custom sound and plays the default notification anyway, after several reboots also.
This YouTube video is for Note 8 But its the same procure for the Note 9

I Am Having the Same Issue!
Hi Rich, I’ve had the exact same problem and have spent likely 10-20 hours trying to get this to work over months worth of time. I started with Android Pie (9) and Samsung UI 1.0, and had the issue. Recently, I hard-reset my phone, and installed Android 10.0 and UI 2.0, and nothing has been fixed. Also, I exchanged my phone when I first noticed the issue under the old operating system, and both phones are experiencing the same issue!
I select customs sounds for some apps (under Notifications), but they will not sound. Samsung/android takes over the notification and plays the default sound. I have a newer Note10+, on T-Mobile. In fact, yesterday I was working with a senior tech support person at T-Mobile, and we tried everything. He had a Note10+ there, tried changing to the custom sound, and his device also did not work, did not change it to the custom sound!
Just wondering if you ever got this to work, or have you found any workarounds? I would really, really appreciate your response!
Thanks, Dave
I had this exact same issue. I had to strip all of the tags from the mp3 files and put them in the 'notifications' or 'ringtones' folders. Once I did that, they appeared in the built-in media picker and also worked when using esExplorer to set the ringtone or notification.
