Hi guys just wanted to know if greenify is still a useful tool to have especially when rooted. Also is it even needed when running blackened mod? Thanks.
I stopped using it and I honestly don't see any noticeable differences.
I just restrict background activity with some apps like Snapchat in the native Android settings.

First time Samsung user here. I'm trying to make life without CM a bit more pleasant (yes I actually want to use the stock firmware for a while, it's kinda nice ). Does anyone have a list of TouchWiz components that can be disabled natively or with Titanium Backup without any negative effects?

Anyhow, I suggest to freeze app before remove if you not sure that it can be removed.

Thanks, but surely Touchwiz has changed a bit since the Galaxy 3? I have already disabled some of the more prominent bloat btw.
People, I don't know what to do. I really want to use Facebook's app in my P880, but it cause too much lag over all other applications and resources. Sometimes I need to wait 30s to use my phone, mainly when a turn data or wi-fi on. When this app isn't installed I have a normal experience.
I just tried:
- Stock Rom, CM11 Rom, Euphoria OS;
- Stock Kernel, Iodak Kernel;
- Best Facebook clients are not updating since 2013;
- Facebook on browser, are fast but can't open images entire screen and can't provide notifications;
- Change options in app;
- Change Performance options of each ROM.
Please, if someone had sucess to run the app without this mad lag share with us.
Tried the "simple facebook" app?

I used to untick all autoruns of the APP using 3c toolbox.This reduces it's effect on general system performance but there are still a few services of it running, you have to turn them off at every boot.
Still, the facebook is badly coded/optimized and I prefer to use my web browser to browse facebook since I get notifications with SMS anyway.
Facebook app is among the worst ever Android apps made. As you too noticed, mainly on network change, it gets insanely laggy. It just isn't worth using.
Thank you, guys!

Nice app, i didn't know. There are too many options that I need a master degree to understand all. =), but I'm trying that carefully. Meanwhile I just made my phone even worst, but with the last config a little bit better.

Sad, but true! I can't understand what they want with this. My wife's Samsung S4 can run it, just with small lags inside app, but it is another class of phone.
Not really a developer so would it be possible for someone to make me a flashable zip that adds the clear all button like in the screen shot to the stock rom? Don't really want to run a custom rom, but this is the only feature I want.
Never seen that button on stock.

I've wanted such a feature, but I've never seen that button on stock.
I doubt it could be made for stock. It would be easy enough to make one for AOSP, though since it's a battery drain by killing all your apps then re-opening them, it's unlikely many people would be interested in making them. A better mod would be to limit recents to only show cached apps. I assume most people want to clear them because its clutter. There is no functional reason to clear all. In fact it reduces functionality clearing all, by wasting your battery every time you restart an app you cleared from recents
Did not know that.

I've always closed every app when I can remember to do so, did not think it really made a great difference in anything. Live and learn.:good:

Yep it does. Android caches apps. It uses far fewer CPU cycles to retrieve an application from cache than to start it up from "cold". If you don't use an app much, fine - clear it. If you use it a lot, if you clear it it will use more CPU. The more you do this, the bigger the effect.
I'm using "recent app cleaner" and "custom notification ex".

With Chainfire app called Recently you can do this and some more things, only need Root:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.recently
I purchased the pro version.
So you can do with Xposed and GravityBox LP, but with Recently is more easiest.
Thanks winsmel!

I was wondering if there's any way to get AoD on a rooted phone? It should be possible so has anyone done it yet?
You can get it even without root with a ton of apps. The best one I found yet is available here: https://plus.google.com/communities/104206728795122451273
You just need to join the beta app and then you can get it from the Play Store.

This look promising, thanks for the tip. Just wondering how much battery it will use? Need to test that myself I guess

Usually what the playstore apps do is keep the screen awake, thus they become kinda useless.

I noticed it yep, makes tracking idle battery drain impossible. That's the only minus I really found (well, another one is that led notification doesn't work with it, atleast 3rd party systems like Light manager or Light Flow, tho is that led useful with always on display anyway? ). If those minuses aren't important for others, it's propably one of the best always on display -apps in there.
Tested in combination with "Keyboard Backlight Controller" (for having button-illumination of OP3T always on when screen is on); conflict... Unfortunately. Backlight is more important. Alway On is a great feature, but if I need to choose... Anyway: reported this to developer.
Hi. I use a tablet permanently in landscape mode. But in many apps when keyboard pop up, it uses all the screen. In many cases you don't even see what you typing regardless the all screen view.. I really don't understand why they made it this way. I remember in past there was an xposed plugin to fix this. Can't be done something with magisk? I think it is just to much to install xposed only for this. Is there any way to use xposed only for this, without making the system slower?
Thanks,

It's so so annoying, I fully agree! Unfortuately I don't know other ways to do that, but you caught my attention with this Xposed module... Do you remember its name? If it's old, it probably won't work on newer Androids, but maybe worth a shot since I use Xposed

Actually I did a quick research and found out that this module is present in Play Store. And moreover, it's still working on Android 11! Thank you so much for the hint!
As for Xposed, these days we have much more device-friendly Xposed solution named LSPosed. It allows to hook only the apps that are necessary for a module to work. I really recommend it for you if you won't find any other solution. Also I use many other useful modules, if you are rooted and familiar with Xposed to some extent, it's a great field to explore

Thanks.. I already reading how to install xposed.. I'll read about LSPosed then...
I readed that an xposed plugin, Apps settings reborn, is still has a working version of full screen keyboard fix per app, and dpi changing per app. And jt works in android 11.. It looks good.

Oh, I have this module installed too and didnt know it has this feature! By the way, LSPosed doesnt have the official thread on XDA (the one existing is unofficial, created by a regular user to discuss about it), but they have official Telegram chat and channel, easy to find
Well i installed it, it looks promising. But for full screen keyboard fix, it doesn't looks like app settings reborn sstting is working.. Most other settings work, so it looks like, some do, some doesn't.. Perhaps i must find an xposed plugin especially for this if it still works..
I'll post if i have a solution.
Edit, it works after all. I set to not display keyboard in full screen, to the app i wanted + system ui + SwiftKey keyboard.. And reboot. Something of all this did the trick..
