Xiaomi Mi Max 2 can't be detected on PC / charge only, do you have same problem with this case?
Try to change the Data Cable or Reinstall the drivers.

I have another xiaomi mi 5 and it works fine in my pc, so the issue is not the cable or the PC.
my xiaomi mi 5 is using miui 10.0.1.0 .
I formated the device 2 times.
I bought from a local seller so I dont know if its a software or hardware problem.
The phone is charging when connected to the computer.
Helium backup app detect the input with the computer when I plug in, but adb devices command doesnt show the mi 5 plugged. (it shows my oneplus one so its not a adb driver problem)
I don't know what to do, as it doesnt show in xiaomi mi flash I will need unlock it and try with fastboot to reinstall rom??
PS: Device manager doesnt detect the phone and dont show any changes)

Just go to service center and replace phone connecting cercuit it will cost only 1200 i had same issue last week.

But the PC only has 2 usb ports. Both of usb have 3.10.
Can't i flash twrp to the phone without usb 2.0? There's no other way?

i'm sorry to hear that :/
you might try using extended usb hub that still use 2.0, but no guarantee tho just a thought.
Me myself using my 2009 notebook just to flash Mi A2
I use fastboot with usb 3.0 on linux with no problem.

I think its windows fault.
i did try to install miui on my mi a2 using miflash but i got a error while flashing
my phone got bootloop and i can't go to bootfast
i did open the phone and put in EDL mode with the pin test
i tryed to install the stock rom and i got sucess
but my mi a2 wont turn on
i put the charger and the led notification dont work
i put on pc and isn't detected
i put in a turbo charger and still the problem
but when i put in EDL mode using the pin test the pc recognizes the phone
but dont turn on

yes, it supports usb otg but due to usb brands some of them are not working on the redmi 9 lancelot.
I got bricked my xiaomi mi a2, unscrewed it and went into edl mode. When i connect it into computer, it identifies phone like storage device and mi flash tool cannot flash it because of "error: flash timeout". How can i solve it? Maybe i ve installed wrong drivers? (sory for bed inglesh)
have you installed qualcom drivers ??
of not first install the qualcom drivers then try.
