A couple of apps don't display correctly, namely ebay and Gmail (see screenshot), it's this a dpi issue or some other problem? Anyone know of a fix... Some descriptions on ebay are garbled and so are some emails...
I've tried disabling show app in full screen for each, but it makes no difference...
Did u try reinstall those apps? I read somewhere that on this could bepossible fix restart phone or reinstall problematic apps

Yep, tried restart, and reinstalling... Still the same. Not sure if there's a build prop I can edit somewhere... Would you know?

Can you tell me, in developer settings, what is your smallest dpi width? (it's under Window animation scale etc). Mine is set to 411 but I'm not sure if that's what it should be...

Also, sorry dude, you're the only one that's answered... Are you rooted? If so can you download buildprop editor from the playstore... I can't find any setting for dpi, the only thing I can find is shown in the screenshot... Can you have a look and see if yours is the same...

I see no setting under build info for ro.sf.lcd_density, so you have that showing your dpi?
You can reset the dpi by using the slider in display settings.

try manually changing it to some thing else. 411 was default for me too. i changed it to 432 and everything is okay so far for me

Thanks but it still has the same issue.. Might try a re flash tonight and clean install...
485 is the default smallest width. This is system default when you put the slider @ lowest level.

Open the menu, hold the widget until it shows the desktop, then release. There, icon is on the desktop.

I rooted the phone with [PATCHED]V20S_00 using Smartflash. When I turn data on there are no arrows on the top of the screen.

Flash the baseband (the small file you get from kdz extractor) should be around 8 MB, from your own unpacked files. Then you ll get the baseband of Canada's version. Check if it solves it Maybe pretty sure we got different basebands...

There are no APN's
Ok I made a new Apn for Koodo and all is good now. Thanks men.
Just register your network if you did not that (settings>mobile networks>network operators>choose automatically)

FC is Force close Yes Im using stock firmware, I even havent rooted it. 99% it is a hardware problem

If that doesnt work

it doesn't work. tried it many times still not working always closing.
tried the apps same thing can use the rear camera but front hangs at close.
what should i do next?
Not sure what to do then.. if you cleared cache and data, tried an app camera from the play store... I really wouldnt know what else to do then.
try a third party app like what isipseven suggested. if not, might want to consider reflashing the phone with a kdz file. or bring down to your service centre
All,
My battery level percentage always disappears after every reboot even though its checkbox is still ticked, I have to re-enable it in Settings -> Power Management -> re-tick Status bar information.
Is this a 4.3 bug? Or did I do something wrong?

After update did you do a factory reset? Even if this not help I will not be worry about it, out there still worse issues with Z1 than an icon.

Make sure you're not running anything through Xposed that messes with the status bar. That's be the first thing that I disabled. I don't have this problem on stock 290.

@eclyptos: Not a factory reset but I did clear cache + davik. Yes I know and I highly appreciate any helps
@xasbo: I firstly had Gravitybox installed then I found it too complex for my needs then I nandroided my device back. There is only 1 change I made after flashing NUT's prerooted ROM. It's about fixing my H+ icon: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49519101&postcount=972

Any way to roll that back and see if it's the root cause? If you only have a nandroid to go back to, that changes too many things to be valid (unless going back that far is worth fixing the problem to you). You need a flashable uninstall package for that mod.
I once had this problem on a custom ROM on my SGS2, but I can't think of anything that would be in common here.

Unfortunately I can't go back that far Do you think replacing SystemUI.apk might solve the problem? Or is there any other way to get it fixed? I know this is just a tiny problem but have it fixed would be perfect

I don't think it's the same.
had the same problem it turns out that its gravity box's fault and if you uninstall it make sure both system setting a GB setting are exactly the same before you installed gravity box. To solve issue just install GB open it and Go > Statusbar tweaks > Battery settings > Tick Battery percentage text. Uninstall and see what happens.

Thank you all for helping me anyway! I finally managed to build my own flashable zip ROM using [NUT]'s DIY Guide with Stock ROM 14.2.A.0.290 Central Europe 1276-4314_R1B. After flashing and restoring (data only), all the problems are just gone!! [NUT] is my life saver!!
I have recently installed DaRk-L0rD 4.3 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647459) and have a really annoying bug. I cant change the keyboard, everytime I try to the phone reboots. it doesnt matter if i do it in setting or in swiftkey. Its a fresh install from a full wipe.
I really hope someone can help. Thanks.

you could try to reinstall any keyboard apk, move it to system, check permission reboot into recovery wipe dalvik cache reboot then set default in keyboard settings.
Hi, I've tried fixing permissions in recovery, I've tried re flashing the Rom. It's seems the bug is with the system not the keyboard. I can tick other keyboards in settings, but when I actually try and change it to default then it instantly reboots.
I find it odd that no one else has had the same problem, I guess they might not have tried changing from the stock keyword...

strange one. I have also tried this rom and had no issues, did you redownlod this before re flashing, could de a problem with the download.
Yeah I have 3 versions, the latest one I downloaded yesterday, from the darklords post.
I've had the same bug with all 3. It's very odd. I really miss SwiftKey, I'm really strugging with the stock keyboard.
I might have to full wipe and try a different rooted 4.3 stock rom.

sorry I couldn't help with this. I myself am using swiftkey but with peetrs stock hybrid. its a good rom.
