Currently rooted with twrp on latest ww 9, and volte hack. What's the easiest, or should I say best way to be on the latest beta 10? Thanks...also does the volte hack work on 10?

Hi,
just a short Question: is it possible to get back on oreo with the Nokia Image (from the dev beta Programm) when sideload the official pie zip?
Or has the pie beta no newer bootloader as the official pie?
I would be interested if it works.
Maybe it could work with this device without root?

Hello everyone! So recently I got a Mi 9 and I have some questions about the Beta Q update, so here I go.
-If I update it via the official website (no flashing or anything like that), will I be able to come back to 9.0 Pie or do I have to wait until the official update?
-Do I even get the official update, and if yes, will it still be stock Android or MIUI?
-Is it worth getting the Beta, or are there still many remaining bugs?
-Can I unlock my phone from the beta and install TWRP?
Thanks for your help in advance!
HI, to install the android q official beta, you must have the chinese version of the mi9 if your phone's bootloader is locked. I
f you install it, it's not recommended to come back to android pie.
If you are in the official xiaomi beta program, you will receive the official miui ota updates. The beta versions are stable, but there are some issues. For example some apps may not work as expected, like magisk that give root access hardly.
You can unlock your phone from the beta and install twrp.
I hope that this will help you.
Hello everyone,
I just received a new Magisk update. Does it mean that I don't need Canary for android 11 anymore? Since there's a new version?
I am just afraid to root with Canary, heard stories and don't want to take the even bigger risk.
Thanks
I'm currently on canary with 11. Having no issues.vehat are you referring to?

You are still on 10, waiting?? Pretty sure you will still need canary to root 11. What does the changelog say on your stable version? Until it says "supports Android 11" you'll still need to use the canary version which by the way is quite safe if you are using pretty much any mainstream phone. There is no risk at all. Use canary to patch the stock boot image. Put both in the same folder. Flash the patched image. If you don't have immediate success, you simply flash the stock boot.img and you are back to stock. Any stories you heard are just that... stories.

The new Stable Magisk Manager (8.0.0) is fine to use on Android 11. The latest Beta Magisk (21.0) is also fine to use on Android 11. Both were just updated to be Android 11 compatible. Soon the Beta Magisk will be moved to the Stable channel once any bugs (if any) are worked out.
By the way, the latest Canary also works fine on Android 11.
Installation instructions and documentation have been updated. https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk
Thanks for answering ?. I'll see if it says supports android 11. Yes I was on 10 waiting, root is a small risk, but Canary is a bigger one that I didn't want to take. Hopefully it supports it and I can root to Android 11.
By the way, do you know if the Soli motion sense module works with Android 11?
Thanks in advance

The latest Beta does support Android 11. https://twitter.com/topjohnwu/status/1312342107139440640
Make sure you set the channel in the Manager to Beta.
I don't know anything about the Soli motion sense module..

It's ready to go now. Latest version 21 (MM v8.0.0) stable supports 11. I don't use the Soli module so can't comment on that.

I'm on 11 with canary rooted. Patched EnableSoli.Magisk20.2.V1.2 via magisk is working
I have an Exynos that has been bootloader unlocked. I flashed someone's version based on Android 10 last year and am looking to move up to 11.
Can someone please point me to a walkthrough? I still have Odin, etc. installed on my computer. Thanks.
*Is* there a path forward to get to Android 11 on a rooted international (exynos chipset) Note 9?
Hi ! I'm on Android 11 september patch and it's easy to flash Android 12 on my pixel 4a 5g but do wipe all my data.
I have a question if I flash the last Android 12 beta as a new phone and restore with Drive backup. After on October when Android 12 stable roll out for all. Can I just update it or do wipe data again to go from beta to stable firmware ?
Thanks
I'm interested to know too
Yes ! Do wipe data too for roll back to stable.
Android 12 comes the 4th October I stay it. It's more simple for me.
I came here looking with this exact question.
I'm on Android 11. If I enroll my phone now for A12 and it gets A12, will it just update to the release version when it releases? Or would I have to unenroll from the beta which will do a data wipe?
Thanks
I'm in the beta and yes you just get the stable build without wipe as OTA. Last Beta of Android 12 (SPB5.210812.002) is pretty stable.

You will get the release version via ota even if you install A12 beta.
