Hi guys!
May I know if anybody here experienced black screen ? Screen has no image to display. Backlight is working, Led light is working when charging, fingerprint vibrates as well when A2 is turned on. I have tried replacing LCD display but black screen persists. What do you think is the problem?

I have the same problem!!!! I try flash rom again but it persists
Yesterday it happened to me also.
The phone is working, the touch is working, but the lcd is black.
I even managed to recieve a call. Tried to restart the phone but its still black screen with working touch.
I can't find any solution...
Anybody found a solution??
My MI A2 is in black screen after updated to Wayne V11.0.6.0.PDCCNXM 20200509.
Tried to flash again, the screen didn't even turned on anymore, then used an UNBRICK WAYNE XIAOMI MI6X and it's back to black screen, been like this for 4 days now, should I start looking for a new phone? :crying:
Serial number: 23e3c4ee
Codename: wayne
Bootloader: locked
Anti version: 4
ROM: Wayne V11.0.6.0.PDCCNXM 20200509.
When I flash the ROM again, takes 100, 200 seconds only, and didn't change anything.

stop stressing . you have ARB4 so just flash a custom rom ...or flash only the LASTEST STOCK ROM ...you didn't listen and tried to flash another think ...so your phone went to hardbrick edl mode
your phone is fine it is just in a timeout edl mode
the only way to fully rescue it is by physically forcing testpoint then flashing LATEST FASTBOOT STOCK ...this time listen or stay on black screen

Already did it and gets worse, if I flash the latest fastboot Stock ROM really becomes a brick, to de point of not even the screen turns on and stay on edl mode forever.

because you are trying to downgrade
what you need to do is flash the LATEST chinese fastboot stock rom of Wayne or it will never work
you need to flash it with edl and miflash ( LATEST BETA)
you keep on thinking you can flash any stock rom but you can't ......
if you try to flash any stock rom older than the last stock rom you flashed it will never boot and keep going back to edl blackscreen
if you DON'T open your phonr and short the test point miflash will timeout or give errors and device wont boot
open your phone with screwdriver and flash the VERY latest chinese fastboot rom with latest miflash beta

What a heck are you talking about?
Already did everything with Mi flash, forced edl mode by point test, saw like 300 tutorials, for Mi A2, Mi 6x.
What I needed was a verified Mi account to unlock and flash with no problems

I already did, tried all the tutorials from 2018 to last month. The phone bootloader is locked and for some reason I can't unlock it, tried a dozen of different approaches, recovery's, flashings, ADB and everything.
Always ends in two ways, black screen with back light on (some sounds work and keeps in the lock login screen) or dead stuck in permanent EDL mode.
My phone still not working. Maybe its because of the busted display IC.
Yeah, I'm not feeling very smart right now.
Short story:
Accidentally wiped OS in TWRP, now only seem to have access to fastboot. Can I fix this? Flash another ROM? Anything? Bootloader is unlocked, can't seem to get into TWRP anymore. Power + Volume up only takes me to fastboot again.
Long story:
Magisk module caused a bootloop. Wanting to try and avoid a factory reset, I tried sideloading Magisk for TWRP which didn't work, ultimately gave up and wanted to perform a factory reset via TWRP, but I've been working late and ticked the wrong box without thinking. Bad idea, I know. Wiped system, yes.
Aside from feeling exceptionally stupid, can this situation be salvaged? The phone doesn't switch off, it just sits in fastboot. I have Minimal ADB and Fastboot on my PC. Any help will be greatly appreciated, really.
Just in case anyone else ends up with a similar problem, the resolution was fortunately rather straightforward - I needed to grab the Mi Flash tool (as it turns out, this version worked best), stock firmware for my version, go into fastboot (which was no issue as that was the only thing my phone would do) and then open the Mi Flash tool and flashing the firmware was pretty straightforward from there. I even managed to get a BSOD during the process, but it's not like it could get any worse, anyway. Rebooted, restarted the process and about 10-15 minutes later, my phone was happily booting again.

With Fastboot mode and Mi flash as fail safes , we can flash to our hears content with no worries !
Also a more automated tool is a custom mi flash tool by a developer called XiaimiToolV2 ,which has a dedicated mode for bricked phones or downloads the latest fastboot roms for you.

I had excaxtly that witha my mi5 , completely dead .
Leave it on the charger for a little bit, mine after an unsuccessful flash with mi flash (catastrophic error message) it turned back on.
IF not download XiaomiTool V2 and try the option for bricked phones.
I tried that yesterday but that option is still in development. Only the modifications one is supported currently. As for the issue mentioned, maybe it's really just a matter of charging the phone first. Can't hurt either way.

Try to use the EDL mode
How to force it to EDL by key combination or maybe deep flash cable ?
My Mi account is authorized for EDL flash but I cant get Mi9 into EDL mode on my PC ( Windows10 )
No OS, but working TWRP
Hi,
I have a similar problem with my mi 9.
I followed a really bad description for the update xiaomi.eu from MIUI10 to MIUI11.
https://www.chinahandys.net/xiaomi-eu-rom-update/
It recomended to wipe alvik / Art Cache, Cache AND System :crying:
So I do not have no OS any more. However, TRWP is still working.
I have a Backup but it did not work :crying:
Is there a better option than the Mi Flash tool?
Please help me!
Since you already have TWRP, download the latest Xiaomi.eu custom ROM available for the Mi 9, which is 9.11.7 to your computer.
Also download the latest TWRP by Mauronofrio from XDA which is 3.3.1-42.
Then use adb to transfer both the ROM and TWRP to your Mi 9.
In TWRP, install TWRP first and manually reboot to twrp using the vol up + power button.
In TWRP, install the ROM, do a factory reset, then finally reboot.

Thank you very much for your reply.
When I tried to make my TWRP backup work I had several problems.
First was "vendor read only". So I went in TWRP to "mount" and unticked the "mount vendor partition read-only" (sounds easy, took me some time to find out)
Then I was able to do the restore without error message. However just boot loop and only the possibility to access TWRP.
After some while I realized that this restored the wiped system partition.
So I flashed the aktual MIUI 11 9.11.7 again and rebooted.
And it worked perfectly! :victory:
I did no Factory reset all the time, it seems that everything is perfect!
No lags, no problems with the camera, no issues with auto rotation.

PLEASE HELP!!
I just hard bricked my wife's new Redmi Note 10 Pro!
I bought the Chinese version and got the bootloader unlocked, and then tried to replace it with the global Rom from the official website.
In the process I kept receiving an error: "Mismatching Image and device error ".
I followed a couple of tutorials and this particular seem popular, where I had to delete some lines in the .bat file.
After that the flashing process started but halfway an error appeared again. After several attempts I decided to restart from Fastboot mode, and this was when I realized it had bricked.
Now I can't go to Fastboot mode and I keep getting Vibrations but a dead screen.
PLEASE HELP

When you flash things (usually boot.img) it will lock it again
just check and confirm if its still unlocked
plug in your device and do adb reboot bootloader

unfortunately for me my screen wont come on
Usually Its just stuck in engineer/ edl mode
So not to worry but try flashing using sp tools
Put your phone on charger for now
Then
If your phone not getting recognised by pc, unplug and wait for a 6-10 seconds and plugin again or plug in and hold Power+ Volume down or up button till pc recognises it, this will be handy later
here's a guide to flash via SP tools, or you can follow a youtube video to guide you along step by step

you have flashed the china version (or a version for another devices, sure not camellian). cause global fastboot version is not yet online. only recovery. you can install only via ota or twrp.

best fix is use brain before flash a rom. try with miflash pro. mtk tool is included. if pc detect device into fastboot mode or recovery you shold be able to tefladh stock firmware. otherwise only solution is assistance service. cause phone must be open

there are times where it does not work well or gives an error or the package if it is inferior does not let you flash in assistance / fastboot mode if the Boot is not unlocked, I accidentally ruined my redmi note 10 5g and they gave me Another to Play and I managed to know things nobody explains many things to you, that is if even deleting bricked the imei you can recover the second

Yes, it said flash successful, but when I tried to boot it it just shuts off (doesn’t even restart) and I can’t boot into recovery
while it "shuts off" is there any sign of usb and maybe valid VID/PID that identifies the boot mode?
can you share log file from MiFlash log folder?
how did you put device in EDL mode?

When it "shuts off" it just show a black screen for like 2 seconds and goes back to the charging screen
i attached the log
i shorted the 2 pins which were showed in this video:
and then confirmed that it is in edl from device manager (drivers were installed)
Thanks for your help!
looks everything successful. but try Android 7.1 both china + global anyway
