Taking photos with either stock or Gcam the files are only 4-5mb.
On my Poco F1 - the photos from Gcam were much bigger, and higher resolution..
Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello everyone!
i was thinking if it is possible, that when i make a photo using gif frame (with animation) ,and the photo also comes out with an animation frame?
maybe there is already a software...
just an idea, don't know if it's workable.
the end photo should also be GIF... GIF has various limitations on many levels that we can discuss
Does anyone know of a web site with wallpapers that run 800x1200? I'm not coming up with much via google for portrait orientated wallpapers.
1280x800 is the native resolution though. Try searching for that instead.
Perfect fit resolution (for scrolling wallpapers in launchers) in 1600*1280

You are correct, I forgot the 80. WHO FORGETS THE 80!!!
1600 x 1280
in order to get a picture with a 1280 vertical width you need to look for pictures or wallpapers that originally are 1600 x 1280. then use most image editing programs to crop the image to 800 x 1280 pixels - width and height.
i for one prefer for my wallpaper to remain still while my icons are being swiped by. I also find most images i used have a center focus.
also i try to if possible to edit the bit rate to be 24 bit for the image. don't know if this helps to display the image better but since the note is reported to display at 24 bits why have images any larger.
Use wallpaper wizardrii. Works perfect!
use PicSpeed wallpapers... its free on the market
Hey all,
I'm not sure about any of you, but I set a wallpaper using the gallery application the result image is no where near the quality of the image when viewed at the same zoom level in the gallery.
Try out the image HERE
Set it to a full 3 screen background. View the image in gallery in the same zoom and position as your home screen. Observe the lines. Then press the home button. Do you notice the quality change?
Thanks

try Wallpaper Changer in the market
sorry to bring back old thread, but I'm wondering about the same thing and nobody responded. I'm on note 2 though, and trying to apply stock xperia ultra Z wallpaper. Same as OP, in gallery it looks super sharp and smooth, but when applied as wallpaper, its still great, but not as much...
if it makes any difference, running CM10.2
ok it seems the gallery is compressing the image before applying as wallpaper. Solution - image 2 wall from playstore
Hi what is best? i took windows wallpapers they are JPG should i convert to PNG (bigger file size) is it better or just the best jpg?
Or What is best for wallpapers JPG or PNG and dont tell me to Google it cause i could not find the answear
PNG is better, JPG is way more compressed than PNG. Even better than PNG is BMP btw. Just try to draw something in MS paint, save it as JPG then as PNG and compare
It depends.
Regarding quality png is best since it uses a lossless compression. But since you are asking what format is best for a wallpaper I would go with jpg. File size should be far smaller with jpg. Unless it's a drawing or the like with not many colors and hard edges then png would probably be better again.

PNG is better because its faster and not compressed
PNG because supports transparency
Its just for wallpapers JPEG is the one you want and you don't need transparency on a background stick with jpeg it saves your memory and you won't see the difference

why would you convert jpg to png? if the quality of jpg is already low, converting to png serves no purpose, right?
generally it's good to keep photos in png format. but if it is just pictures which originally comes from jpg, just stick with it since its size are mostly smaller.
dont even think of converting lower quality jpg to higher jpg as well.
either of the two. its ok.
Hi All,
It seems all icons in playstore are blurryin my Redmi K20 pro. These icons are also larger in size.
Later I found that this is not just for playstore icons, all the images and icons are blurry. Is it because the bad quality of the display or some software issue.
Please help.
