Anyone know how to solve this issue?
Verizon S8+ no signal, altought recognizes the inserted sim and imei is ok.
Trying NV Rebuild and EFS CLEAR & RESTORE via Factory Rom (combination file) using code *#2763368378#, and reflashing of rom didn't work either. Also can't reinstall CSC through this menu

Is it a blacklisted device if so it wont get signal. If it was a subsidized device and not paid off it also falls under blacklist.

By chance did you replace the USB port. I read a couple guys with this issue solved by replacing the USB. I dont know how they are connected. But that's what they say

In this case is needed to acquire a new usb port? or just reconnecting fix it?
The issue lies in the daughter board.
The daughter board contains the charging port, the antenna for network reception.
I got it replaced at the service center and its working fine now. There are parts available on ebay and amazon if you want to replace them yourselves.
But recommend you to do it at the official service center so that the water seals are put back in the right way

What's the issue you're having?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
i put a microsim to sim adapter and it broke the sim contacts on the tray!! Thats why I don't have warranty. Do anyone know what can I do???
How much does Samsung charge for this repair? I think it is better to have them repair it.
U should try diferent micro sim before u buy main board, u have two type of micro sim , sim with smaller chip and with bigger, the smaller one are causing problem, some of them are not working and some of them have problem with contact.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
i have same problem before, i wen to network and said that ive lost my micro sim and i told them that i want normal sim replacement, because normal sim have big chip, after they send me new sim i have no problem...

and that someone screwed it up worse..... i should be able to fix it i pm'd you
..broke mine too!!
..did a similar thing to my Note.....the sim card caught one of the connectors in the sim tray and pulled it off!!!...found a cool video on how to dismantle it (1st video on on "dismantle galaxy note"search) on you tube....on closer inspection the connector had broken and pulled away from the circuit board too (not happy!!). Have hunted high and low to try and find someone who could supply a replacement main board....without any luck - if there's anyone out there that could point us in the write direction/add a link here....i'd love you forever!!
Really missing my Note right now!!!
New mobo for Galaxy Note? Check these guys out!!!
vicdroid84 you may be in luck......have found these guys, their based in Birmingham and are called Intercity business telecommunications (wont let me add the link here) tel:0121 643 7373.....have spoken to them, they can supply and fit a new mobo for about £130......takes about 48 hours upon them getting it to repair...am sending mine of today!!!!!........yipppeeeee!!
Samsung replaces the SIM tray. I read it is less than 50$ and sometime it is free.
Changing MOBO for a SIM tree is like changing a Car engine for a small nut
i recommend you take it to a company that's not Samsung to fix it, Samsung wont fix it if you don't have a warranty

Just pointing out to the OP that the above might be misinformation. The fix should be free if it's a warranty and $50 if it is a sim issue.
and as i said earlier.. if samsung wont fix it .. i can and will... and i can say so far i havent voided a warranty as in the warranty is still good after ive done the repair.. thats how clean..... so anyone with the problem just pm me... its legit too. got pretty good at board level repairs over the past 22 years working for some big name manufacturers... just trying to help...already helped a few on here....
Sim pins
I too broke off 1 of the 3 pins pulling a microsim out. I ordered and received the sim connector from parts4repair.com. But I think I have to solder off the current connector then solder on the replacement. Am I correct?

Have you tried repairing it thru PC Companion? The error may be due to software crash. Try repairing it using the PC Companion.

No, the IMEI is on the Phone, this phone is tagged as stolen you can forget this phone, you wont be able to use it anymore, anyway your question is really embarassing, do you really think that's you can stole a phone and use it just by changing the sim card? What kind of person are you!

Sadly no, when the IMEI is tagged as stolen there is nothing you can do, and of course the phone is stolen, try to get your money back ot cry.

Or it could simply be a problem with the SIM card. You also get that error when trying to use a different SIM when the Phone is locked.

I also got the XZ from Fortress in HK and this morning around 10am I got the MM #6 error.
Just called Sony few hours ago and follow their instruction to repair the phone by PC companion but still got the same message.
I guess we need to call fortress about this issue
It is impossible that the phone was stolen, Fortress is quite a famous gadget in HK and I have my invoice on hand.

Absolutely not, the IMEI of the PHONE is tagged as stolen, not the sim card, you can put whatever sim card into it, you'll always get this error.
And Famous HK store or not the phone is tagged as stolen, the IMEI is blacklisted, no one can help you with that, even Sony can't bypass that and know that there is nothing to do if the IMEI is blacklisted, so maybe it's not all famous as it's pretend to be. Try to get your money back is the best option.

Regardless of what Qualquek says, I choose to believe you. He shouldn't be so quick to point fingers at people anyway, it's kinda rude and offensive.
As for the problem, I have no idea, but if it is an imei block, purchase a broken Z, or go to a phone store ask if you can see their phone recycling bin. Go to a repair shop (unofficial one) ask them to swap the Cpu / main chip or do it yourself.
(This is last resort, try to get it replaced or unblocked as much as you can)

you are from PH, right?
I found others have same problem also from PH in sony's support forum.
This thread has coloured me curious.
WHERE are you both (which country) when you are seeing this message?
All the mention of buying them in HK, along with talk of you not being there still, if you're in different countries, IMEI blacklist is unlikely, this happens per country usually.
There is the possibility (to the guy making accusations) that the entire truck load of phones that particular store is selling was stolen, and the whole lot has been blacklisted.
Also, it's not impossible that this was done in error. The system relies on humans to do that blacklisting, and humans are far from infallible. It is, however, highly unlikely.
Either way, to the guys with the issue, if your IMEI really is blacklisted (and it's not a hardware/software fault somewhere in the process) you can't fix it, no amount of SIM changing or firmware flashing will help you. Go back to the store you purchased it from and ask for a refund.

A similar thing happened to a user on here, don't remember the exact details but they bought their brand new Z from Amazon which had an issue, long story short they weren't the only one and it was all Phones from one particular trader.
EDIT: Oh, mistook the #6 error for the #2, my bad, but some googling, first link in fact found THIS, so anyone with a genuine issue give it a try.
Hi,
I bought a new housing for my N7100.
After changing the housing I am losing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
It just gets turned off automatically within 1 second.
When I whack it hard couple of times it works for 2-4hours.
I even got replacement housing from seller but the problem persist.
Any suggestions?
A hardware experts help is appreciated.

I'm only here for suggestion, not sure what you are getting at, i'm say are you sure you have the n7100 and not the n7105 or other models, there are slight differences between them all.
I know ur problem, take off the back cover and remove the screw next to the wifi antennae which is the one left to the camera, (not on the side where the flash is at).
it should work. If it doesnt press on that area kinda hard n it shud work. i do this and lik once a month or twice maybe the same thing happens. It is a bad connection with the wifi antenna i believe. When it stops working i simply take off the back cover and just push on it. Usually it happens when my phone gets real hot.

Hey guys,
So a little while ago AT&T pushed out an OTA for the LG G Flex, I think it was minor security fixes and G Watch compatibility fixes, anywho I opted to skip the update and live with the icon in my status bar since I didn't know if the OTA would work properly on my rooted Flex. The OS was still the OEM 4.4.2, no custom rom or anything.
Well long story short, the update automatically started and I could not stop it, next thing you know my phone goes to reboot and the following error message came up:
ERROR: Boot certification verify
[720]----------------------------------------------------------------
[720]
[720]Secure Booting Error
[720]Cause: Boot certification verify
[720]
[720]----------------------------------------------------------------
This and the LG Logo for about 1 sec. before this screen are the only things I can get the phone to do. Factory Reset menu with Power+VolDwn works but the reset does nothing. Probably no OS on the phone right now.
I'm assuming it's the OEM bootloader that i've messed up somehow and need to return to stock to unbrick.
I'm not a rooting noob, I've been doing this since '09 and have unbricked multiple phones, I just have no idea how to go about starting this, and I can't seem to find a download of the original LG G Flex Recovery...
AT&T Service Center confirmed root so I can't send it back for a new one either...
I'm getting a replacement phone (Doogee Dagger DG550) to use in the meantime, so there's no rush, I might even end up selling the flex after I fix it, but right now it's a burning hole in my pocket I still owe on, so any help would be awesome..
One last thing, I run Linux Ubuntu on my laptop at home, no access to Windows unless i'm at work, so instructions in Linux would be great but not necessary, I do a lot of nothing at work (Cricket Wireless) so I can do all this on their Windows machine if I need to.
Call att and tell customer service that the ota they pushed to your phone has it stuck at the boot logo and you need a warranty replacement. They'll never know it was rooted. They get in so many devices daily and their warehouse employees that reflash these devices don't care or take the time to diagnose the issue they just plug it up to the PC and reflash the software to it. Regardless what state its in. This is due to time, quotas, lack of knowledge, and the just don't give a damns.
They'll send you a refurbished device overnight and you'll put yours in that box and ship it back. No cost no questions.
Yup. Just did that with my girlfriend flex on Tmobile. And countless other devices over the years.

G FLEX not girlfriend. Holy auto complete.
Sorry for the late reply
I already tried that, ATT told me to bring it to their Service Center, which is really just an ATT store for people with phone problems, after bringing it in they did a root check on my phone and said they cannot except it and that I was SOL. I'm fairly experienced with ADB and unbricking phones but I don't even know where to start...

Nvm, just let your thread die, maybe a moderator will close it. Afaik, discussions about how to change IMEI are not tolerated here (because of legal issues in some countries) but since it was only a question about if it was legal or not, there should be no problem.

I will close it but you will most likely find that if you had to change it then it is most likely a knock off device and when you take it to the repair center they wont touch it.
