Recurring icon display error - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I recently noticed a recurring problem in my notification area, that the WiFi icon continuously changed itself into an upside down mobile network icon. However, I have WiFi all the time, but it usually confused me a lot. Are there any solutions? Restart did not work. System is unmodified latest Q version. Thank you!

Sorry but I laughed a lot here
Man, have u tried a clean install after the update?
If not, I recommend you to reset your device.

Thanks for the advice. Honestly I have reset my phone somewhere in the last week of January, and I would rather not do that again only for solving this problem.

Huawei P9 Bluetooth turns off by its self / Bluetooth Problems in General

I have this annoying problem with my 2 month old p9!
The bluetooth keeps turning off by its self! I got my LG G Watch R a month ago, and sometimes it happened that it lost its connection, but it came back by its self...
But lately the bluetooth icon in the notification bar just turns off! Randomly....
EMUI 4.1.1. EVA-L09
The only solution google keeps finding is reset your phone... but i don't want to! Its a pain to reinstall everything to my needs...
Is this perhaps a power saving thing that i can turn off?
try to wipe cache partition by turning on the device while holding power and volume up button together, from there choose wipe cache partition,it will solve most of the problems
I tried it, unfortunately it didn't help
Any other ideas?
Another problem with the Bluetooth.
I bought a gamesir g3s gamepad.
After I connected it, I tried a few games.
I noticed a 1sec delay when I pressed the XYAB buttons. The direction pad or the analog sticks worked with no problem, no delay. At first I thought I had a defective gamepad, but after connecting it to my gf note 4, it worked flawlessly.
I paired it again with my p9, and it worked normally.... For a few minutes... Then the delay came back... If I reset the developers option to defaults (I didn't change anything, I just reset it) the delay disappears for a minute, but it comes back...
My question is, is the Bluetooth so bad in this phone or did I get a faulty device?
try update to nougat,if still u have problem after updating so i think u have faulty device.i don't have any problem using Bluetooth in nougat ,before in MM i had some problem but fix by doing wipe cache partition, but still on nougat more stable
OK, but I still didn't receive the update.
I guess I will have to wait a bit...
It is annoying though...

Yea... I just figured it out Downloading the update atm
So after the update everything works ok now. Second day without a disconnect ?
I'm happy
Hi there i am having the same problem how did you manually update your system?
You should be able to basically reinstall your system software using the OTA software update app already installed on your phone. Basically it'll reinstall the same OS again on itself without wiping data.

I fund the solution here on this forum. In hicare you need to go under service, and select os early adopters...
Look out up ☺
True, I am on EMUI 5 and Android 7 and no issues.
I have the same issue and I'm on Nougat. Sometimes I find the Bluetooh turned off with no explanation. Wipe of cache partition and data didn't help. Someone else with this problem?
When updated to 7, did you factory rest the phone? If not, you should. It will almost 100% fix the problem.

Bluetooth failed

Hi guys, just got my mix around a week ago. Flawless at first, no real complain, then this morning i noticed my smartband hasnt given me any notification and it turns out the phone bluetooth connection is dead.
Dead as in you can click it to tell it to turn itself on, but nothing happens. It doesnt recognise any bluetooth nearby either. Tried the test in the about section of the phone and it doesnt give me anything on the bluetooth status, just blank.
Tried restarting the phone, same thing. Factory reset, same thing. Im on 8.0 global rom straight from when i bought it. Any idea if this is hardware or software?
Thanks
I flashed EpicROM from last week and now I can't connect to my Bluetooth speaker. I can still see Bluetooth devices but it's not pairing. Worked on EpicROM from february

That is vendor ROM.
Well at the very least you still able to toggle the bluetooth on and off, while mine just doesnt even budge. Really disappointing though...

Yup. Im very rusty about all this rom flashing things nowadays. I'll read some and hopefully can flash some tonight, need my device up and running for monday morning :crying:
*edit:
Updated to 8.2 global and the Bluetooth still fudged. Guess im probably selling the phone then as it looks like hardware failure

Good point Jazz....when I dirty flashed to the 8.2 global rom I was having all kinds of forced closes literally almost every few seconds it seemed. It clearly stated in the guide if you go from developer rom to global you should do a complete wipe but I seemed to miss that part. I then re formatted and started from scratch and it worked like a charm after that...zero FCS. Give it another try if you didn't wipe it last time, could make the difference.
I'm from official rom 8.2.3.0 stable and without bluetooth since 3 days ... I wait for an official update or it's hardware problem ? What can i do ? I'm so sad and disappointed with this !
Nobody can help me ? It's software or hardware problem ?

Try to do a clean flash with another rom, like global or last beta. Probaly, is a software problem.
I'm already on global rom ... A clean flash is full erase of the phone but Mi Mix without SD card is a big problem for backup all my phone ...
I gotts say i bought this phone with high hopes but it is a total c**p. Moving from opo5 I regret it all the way. My Bluetooth doesnt work also. I tried resetting phone and settings only since it doesn't back up app data (except for sone google spps) i dont want to factory reset. Anyone had a chance fixing it?

Did you buy it new, which ROM, could it be vendor rom, do as suggested, back up you're data, install custom rom it's the only way to find out if it's hardware, no one else is reporting these sorts of problems even after 2 years of abuse.
Sorry posted in wrong section. I bought new global mix 2S and has latest ota.

finger scanner

Hi,
I am currently experiencing a problem with my finger scanner. It does not show up under settings.
Everything was going going perfectly a couple of days ago, but one morning, it was bugging si I decided to restart my phone. Since then, it disappeared from the settings menu.
Does someone else have the same issue?
Is there a way to say if it is due to a software or hardware issue?
Any thoughts?
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the advice, but I already tried it, two times just to make sure... Nothing changed.
The weirdest thing is that restarting the phone gave me access to the fingerprint scanner once, but disappeared 2 days later... Since then, have not been able to get access to it. This is why I don't know if it is hardware or software related.

You should also try to downgrade to older software using FF, if that doesnt work than its hardware problem. EDIT: Try wipe cache using stock recovery first

Question Oppo find x3 pro always-on display doesn't work after android 12.

Hello everyone, I got the update 2-3 days ago and among the improvements I realised that the always-on display does no longer turn on. I tried changing the resolution, turning the feature on and off, restarting the phone, nothing..
Anyone else with the same issue or with ideas how to fix it?
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

No, I think I'll go ahead and do it. I just wish that the built in back up feature was able to include the pictures/videos and the music, not only contacts, settings and apps.
Do you know a way to that on the phone itself? Because I don't have a pc available to me right now

Google drive upload? MS One Drive. They have an option to automatically bakcup any image/video from your phone. Btw. I suggest setting up applications from scratch - not using any backups.
I am having the same issue. It was working after the update but in my case, it stopped working after I factory reset the device. I hope they issue an update soon to solve this.
Today I received the update, I wiped the phone and the Aod stopped to work
I got my update this morning and was gutted that it broke the AOD, however, I found this fix in another thread, worked for me.
Hi, to solve the problem with the always on display you need to install this fix:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iDluKHpyeMUQjtK3ONS9lNrDy2bnynPs/view
and then restart the smartphone.
it worked on my find x3 lite (IT).
I hope I was helpful
I shouldn't need to remind anyone that installing the above is a MAJOR security risk.
I would also be very careful about it.
Worked absolutely perfect for me!
Me too, I uninstalled straight after, still fixed.
All fine here
If you have this issue then factory reset the phone but do not restore it via Google backup on setup.
If you restore through Google you will lose AOD.

Can I have more details about this APK (source of the APK, permissions, actions, etc.)?
There's a lot of Realme GT family users with the same problem with AOD, and should be useful if can solve the problem without the factory reset
Thank you

Sorry, I don't have any details, other than what was in the link I'm afraid. I'm normally super paranoid with this sort of thing. I suppose I trusted it because it was on this site
Sorry, I've only just realised I didn't give the link to the original thread, hang on . . .

Thank you for the kind reply.
Please in which thread/post you found this link? Posted from which XDA user?
I'm sure that you want to help, but I think it will better to be a little paranoid, to avoid security Issues
I scanned it on Virustotal, and it show in the certificate "Android Team" from "Oplus.com", and [email protected], but after a short search I didn't found a website or a confirmation about that's OnePlus.
Then it requires android.permission.CREATE_USERS (maybe to fix some rights problem that origin the problem), and another thing oplus.permission.OPLUS_COMPONENT_SAFE.
Thank you
Hi
On my Oppo Find X5 is it still not working with the fix. Is there any other way to have it? (the corner ring light not working)
