Did I Bricked My Galaxy Note 9 - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Dear All,
It's my first time converting from iPhones to Android. Happy to join this community to learn and share.
It was my first amateur experience flashing my Galaxy Note 9.
Basically, I flashed an incorrect file under BL at Odin after OEM Unlock. Phone was running Andriod 9 and it was a N960N (Korean Model)
I downloaded the BL file from another forum that was supposedly to be flashed inside TWRP.
I was stupid enough to change that zip file into a .tar file.
After a successful flash at BL, the phone seems to be bricked. It is unable to go into recovery or download mode.
Whenever I press power, the following message is prompted "KERNEL REV. CHECK FAIL DEVICE:3 BINARY: 2 (BOOT)
I was stupid. Please advise me. Could it be that the volume down button is faulty? I was having a hard time bringing it to download mode at the beginning. I used recovery mode to boot into download mode and then made this big mistake.
Any solution?
Thanks in advance.

you are flashing older kernal. try to download and install same version of the firmware. Your bootloader version is 3 and your are flashing bootloder version 2. go to sammobile and download stock latest firmware for your device. and flash it through odin. make sure you use odin version 3.13.

Thank you for taking time to read and comment on my thread. Issue now is that the phone is unable to go into recovery and download mode. Not sure if its the problem physically with the volume down button but the phone is not detected by the PC and unable to enter recovery or download mode.
It is not able to be detected by Odin for me to flash stock files..

Try Samsung Smart Switch on PC .

i saw that you went to download mode through recovery.
there is the regular way
to go into download mode...
hold vol down + bixby + power.

Using power + Bixby + vol down to enter download mode has never worked for me. Here's an alternative method:
Make sure the phone is off. Plug your cable into your computer, hold volume down + Bixby (do not touch the power button), and plug the other end of the cable in your phone while still holding the buttons.

Phone is not responding to (vol down + bixby +power) or (vol up + bixby + power) or (vol down +bixby)
The phone just keeps showing the same thing.....

The above combination (plug USB cable to PC, press and hold, vol down + bixby + power..... While still holding, plug in the USB cable to your phone) should actually work cause myself that's the only way i get my note 9 N960N into download mode. Try reinstalling Samsung drivers and possibly try changing the USB-C cable you're using.

vol down + bixby + power should work. you have to hold all three until the blue screen comes up.
it should not show the samsung splash screen.

start from fresh.
(make sure data cable is ok, try connecting any other phone to check the cable)
uninstall smartswitch and drivers then restart your pc.
again install latest version of smartswitch.
Run odin as administrator.
now plug one end of cable to pc.
press power+bixby+volume down key as soon as phone vibrates plugin data cable and release power key only. it should go in download mode. if not then try this.
plug cable in pc and phone. Then press power+volume down+bixby button as soon as phone vibrates release power key only. it should go in download mode.

Is this normal time to take or should i be worried..? and if its stuck what do i do?
Check your drivers and restart your computer is a good place to start
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897
You have to quit ODIN. You aren't in download mode, or you haven't done everything in the correct steps. The page isn't very clear, so it's no problem
Here's what you have to do:
Turn your phone off.
Take out the battery, SIM card, External SD card
Put the battery back in.
Hold down both of the volume rockers.
THEN put in the USB cable (while ODIN is open)
Continue to hold down the volume rockers until your phone is recognized by ODIN

[Q] Odin One click question.

I'm trying to revert to stock jf6 with odin one click downloader from continuum 5 RC3, The phone was put in download mode with volume down+power combo and recognized fine, afer I clicked start it reads as follows:
<ID:0/005> Added!!
<ID:0/005> Odin v.3 engine (ID:5)..
<ID:0/005> File analysis..
<ID:0/005> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/005> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
And now it's stuck, (about 20 minutes as I'm writing)
Now the "DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET" frightens me, should I wait? I'm guessing it's not the safest thing to unplug it right now..
I've used odin before and never has it taken this long.
Help appreciated.
You have no choice but to unplug
Pull battery
Restart computer
Open odin
Get into dl mode
Try again

is this Tab hard bricked ?

Hello all
a friend of mine was trying to flash his Canadian Bell TAB with the Arabic one but it seems something went wrong so he sent me his TAB to check it
i tried the power+ up and power+down combo tried recharging it but only one thing happens every time, the screen stays off and only the for keys at the bottom are turned on and keeps like that till i press power button for 10 seconds then they turn off
bump
kindly confirm if there is hope to fix this tab myself or must it be sent to Samsung support ?
did u try plug it into your computer and check whether odin can recognize it or no ?
if i turn it on using power+ volume up , then yes odin see it on com8
but still screen off and the keys are on
and i just checked , power + volume down do nothing anymore
If ODIN sees then there is hope. Make sure it has enough charge and try flashing again preferrably wit with its stock firmware.
even if this is not the download mode it boots to ?
power+down is no go
Power+up turns on the keys and odin recognize it
anyway i am at work now will try when i go home
any info where can i get the Bell stock firmware ?

[Q] My phone is bricked I dont know what to do

I have the ATT Galaxy S5 that was 4.4.4, but I disliked the update so I figured I should downgrade to stock 4.4.2 1ANCE. Through the process I thought it would be fine but on startup after the downgrade flash was done, the boot loads up to the samsung logo and freezes there. I need major help!!

Use this to correctly return to NCE:
Flashing the G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar using Odin's PDA slot(AP in Odin v3.09+)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712464416
Just boot your phone into download mode, Vol-Down + Home+Power then extract and flash the above file.
It didnt work?

Your phone is in download mode? You had to hit vol-up to bypass the warning screen when putting it there? Also, do you have the correct drivers installed on your system?
i have an elephone g6 and it is not booting!! i tried to hard reset my phone but after the reset in recovery mode the phone is just showing the boot icon for 2-3 minutes and then again it is switching off and when i charge the phone the red light is also coming. And i didn't even rooted the phone. please please help me !! what to do now??

When my phone is plugged in to charge it deplays the battery with the lighting bolt. At the top in red lettering it says “KERNAL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING.”
If i hold vol down, home and power im prompted with the warning screen. instead of hitting vol up for download i hit vol down to reboot. The device getting stuck at logo with the red lettering “KERNAL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING.” at the top.
i have also tried to recover using samsung switch could get switch to recongnize my phone is plugged in.
Any idea on how to restore to default would be great please email me
