Hello everyone.
I bought an used P20 pro yesterday
every things is ok except wifi and bluetooth.
wifi turned on normaly but it can't find any wifi network
bluetook also turned on but no bluetooth device detected
I tried to reboot, wipe cache, reset settings, factory reset from settings, hard reset from boot.
change router channel, change many hotspots. same problem.
can you help me please.
Thank you.
My bet would be a hardware issue.
Try running the HiCare (now called Support) app provided by Huawei. It has some simple diagnostic tools that might help to identify the issue.
Have a similiar problem with GPS. maybe the anntenas are not making a good contact. don't know if it works but. try to get closer as you can to a wifi router or another bluetooth device and see if it appear on your phone. i'm planning to open mine and have a look.. first and last huawei device.

I think that your wifi and bluetooth modules are dead.

For a long time I successfully used my X1 with LinkSYS WRT54GL (DD-WRT) router at home. One day I tried to set WIFI to channel 12 and 13 and try if my X1 connects or not. After it failed to connect i have set WIFI back to channel 2 (as was before). Now X1 doesn't connect to this router any more. I tried to change various wifi setting on wrt54gl but still no luck. But the phone works with any other router it worked before. I even tried to hardreset my X1 but still nothing. How can I fix this problem?
Guy i have the same problem HELP US PLS

I have done hard reset to phone and router and reconfigured them manually. Nothing helps
have you tried another rom to make sure it's not related to that?

No I didn't because It worked before without problems for a long time.
Try your xperia in router mode from connection manager. It'll help you=)
I try hard reset and now it work !!!
But i hate hard reset...
this will work i have the same issue
go to wireless advanced sittings look for a tap called power mode select maximum power then turn on the wireless
As I wrote before, all those tricks doesn't work. I reflashed my phone with other ROM but the problem remains. Flashed other RADIO, wifi still not connecting.
Wifi works fine at home with no drop at all. However, in office it just does not connect - it goes in a loop : scanning-connecting-authenticating-disconncted-scanning. Does not matter whether the password is right or wrong. My office uses WPA/WPA 2 PSK.
It was connecting before then suddenly it stopped working. It still connects via WebOS. I have tried partition wipe, android factory reset, xron mod etc. but still no luck. I thought it will be fixed after factory reset or partition wipe but no. Can anyone please help me? P.S. I will not be able to get the router reset in office.
This could be a lot of things. Could you set your phone up as a wifi hotspot or bluetooth tether or something?
i had that in my office....i just made it forget the network and enter the password again, seemed to do the trick
I had the same issue. There is a youtube video that will show you how to fix it and I haven't had the problem since. I can't post links because I'm a new user, but search "Fix Wifi Issues on Your Touchpad Running Android" on youtube.
Visited my friend today at his townhouse where is countless wireless networks.
His TP refuses to connect and my TP that is working without problems at my house refused to connect as well.
We changed the AP settings to CH6 on 2.4GHz - no change and it would not connect to 5GHz AP neither.
Got back home and it connected no problem.
Thanks all. I tried entering the password again and it connected!
whenever my TP does this I just tick "Airplane Mode" then enable the Wifi again.
at the same time i installed xron 1/3/2012 , i found this "fxr wififix"
it is free from market
it works great for me..
Thanks

This has worked for me in both MIUI and XRON for 3 touchpads
Hi,
When I connect my P9 to my home WiFi, I've got "no internet connexion"'. But I'm successfully connected to the WiFi.
I've tried factory reset and even replaced my phone by a new one (thanks to my phone company which saw no other solution) and I still have the same issue...
On another free open wifi, it works (but it has no protection).
I tried a lot of different wifi protection (WPA2 PSK/TKIP, WPA-PSK/TKIP, WPA2-PSK, WEP and so on...), I tied to switch channel, nothing changed..
Any idea ??? Am I cursed and got a second broken phone ?
Thanks for any help provided...
Edit : Problem solved, I made a factory reset of my internet modem. It wasn't the phone (I had the same issue with another android device)
Hi all, I have a p10, running emui 5.1 on Android 7.0, and I have problems with the Wifi.
It disconnects after a numbers of hours, apparently randomly, and switches to mobile data.
If I try to connect to the network again, it will just try multiple times, until it claims that "Network access denied."
It will only reconnect to the WiFi if I restart the phone. I have therefore concluded it's the phone's fault and not the router's...
Please, does anyone maybe have an idea how to fix this?
Most times I won't even notice the disconnect and I end up consuming all my mobile data.. so annoying!
Many thanks!
Get into WiFi connections.
Tap on configure at the bottom.
Choose keep WiFi alive when idle.

It will prevent the drops.
It has something to do with Mac address lease time on your router. It's not your Huawei device.
That happened to me too, I just reset my network settings and it stopped happening
xodeus and JamesRLS thanks for your messages!
xodeus:
It was already set to "Always" keep alive, just like you suggested, so unfortunately this wasn't it..
I also checked my router lease settings and couldn't find anything, but fact is that this only happens my Huawei P10 - all other devices at home stay connected...
JamesRLS:
I'm so desperate at this point that I went for your slightly "nuclear" option (I will have to collect all wifi-passwords again..) - I hope it works!
Will post updates with any results..
So after a couple of days, it seems to be confirmed: Resetting the network settings has worked!
Many thanks JamesRLS
I just hope I had done this earlier, I've been having this problem for months now, and it was so easy to solve...

Hi ive got the same problem .
ive got a Huawei p10 EMUI version 9 . i reset the network settings but it keeps dropping randomly . i cannot find the option to keep wifi alive .
Please help me im desperate . the wifi is never constant . it drops every minute basically
My phone hanged while I was watching youtube, it restarted, and when I tried to open my wifi, it does not work anymore, it can be turned on but it will not detect my wifi in the house. I can still use my bluetooth and data but I can't use my wifi function. Is there a solution via software, or is this an IC problem in my internals in the phone? I feel useless using this phone because I can't use my wifi, its hard using data everytime because it is costly. I already reformat my phone but still my wifi won't function. Hope someone can give me a solution to my problem. Thank you.
Did you charge your phone while watching yt? Charging cause heat and that was the problem for your motherboard. The wifi ic dead issue affect many Mi11's unfortunately.

I was not charging while watching youtube. i was on an aircon environment also. it just hanged and then restart, and I noticed that my wifi was off, so i turned it on, and that was the time that it did not detect my wifi anymore.

It's probably fried but we could check with a dumpstate board to be sure. If you want to get one:
You can get one from going in system info, all specifications and press a bunch of time on CPU, it will start a backup. Once the backup is done go into internal storage/MIUI/debug_log.
You will see a bug report zip, extract it then you will get another file called bugreport-venus..Inside you will find a dumpstate_board.txt...Copy it out and open it.
With a text editor search for the word VOLATILE, copy from platform init to chargelib
Do this.
Settings.
Connections and Sharing.
Under the heading Other
Tap Reset WiFi, Mobile Networks, and Bluetooth.
Tap Reset.
This will delete all network related setting, including access points, WiFi networks and Bluetooth pairing, clear the cache related to these settings and reboot your phone.
Try again to connect to the network.
If this doesn't work. Try a complete factory reset. If not, your motherboard is fried.
i hate to be the bearer of bad news but i've suffered from a similar issue a month or so ago and odds are ur motherboard is fried, its a common issue with Mi 11 unfortunately.
