I installed Link2SD to move apps from internal to SD storage. I wouldn't work unless both partitions on SD card were FAT32. Does anyone else have this experience? Or does anyone else have it working with NTFS or ext4? What exact combinations of formats do you use?

Tell me please, is it possible to use the external SD card other than the FAT file system and how it can be implemented? When i connect an SD card with file system Ext2, the system reports that the card is empty or corrupted.
Hey Guys..
I dunno if this has been answered before, but I can't seem to find. But I wanted to be able to put files larger then 4gb on my sd card. I have read a few things that people have partitioned their SD card into 2 partitions. 1) fat32 partition that the phone sees as sd-ext, and 2) a 2nd partition that allows files larger then 4gb.
Any recommendations/suggestions how I could do this? Or any apps that assist in this?
My phone is rooted btw...obviously its a script that would need to be run at boot.
Thanks!
Does anyone know if you can format the storage partition on the sdcard as ntfs or ext4.
Reason for this is if you want to put hd movies on your sd card and they are over 4GB you can't do this with FAT32.
So you would need to format it in a different partition. Anyone know if it works ?

You format it to ExFat. That is the new sdcard format to get it to store more than 4gb. How you are going to do it I don't know. If it were stock, formatting that is easy, but CM10, I don't know. NTSF won't work but ext4 should. You can use partitioning software to do that.

Title says it all. How to transfer files larger than 4GB to SD card? I tried formatting SD card to NTFS but my 2X refuses to accept SD card in that format. Is there any other way?
Thanks!

format using exfat(windows) , or ext4(linux). fat32 cannot transfer file more than 3GB. since kowalski kernel already support exfat and ext4 already support in cm10.1 by tonyp
I have a stock Moto X4 and am running out of internal storage space (32gb). Is there a way to partition my 128gb SD card into 64gb external storage and 64gb adopted storage? Ive used minitool partition to divide the card into two partitions but my phone only sees the "external" FAT32 card and not the ext2 or ext4 partition on the card. I found a thread on reddit using adb but that didnt work either.
Any suggestions????
Thanks for the help and guidance
Are you encrypted? I seem to remember that you had to be unencrypted due to an issue with FBE..... Probably wrong though...
no. Nothing is encrypted. I know that once a card is designated as adopted it gets encrypted though.
