About GrapheneOS :
GrapheneOS is an open source privacy and security focused mobile OS with Android app compatibility.
GrapheneOS is a privacy / security research and engineering project that has been under way for over 5 years. It recently became rebranded as GrapheneOS and is taking a different direction based on obtaining funding for the research and development work as a non-profit open source project rather than being a company. The reborn project is still in a very early stage and lots of the past work on privacy and security has not yet been restored for the new incarnation of the OS.
The grapheneos.org site is very new and is currently being put together. It will have lots of additional documentation and tutorials in the future along with coverage of various software, firmware and hardware privacy/security topics.
GrapheneOS is being supported with funding and developers from various companies and other organizations interested in contributing to this shared base for a feature rich private and secure mobile operating system able to run many existing applications. It will take more time to organize and deploy these resources in order for the project to have a strong development team with proper infrastructure behind it.
* ONE LAST REMINDER THIS GRAPHENEOS IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DAILY USE, IF YOU WANT A AOSP ROM FOR DAILY USE WAIT FOR MY UNOFFICIAL AEX Q and Havoc Pie/Q ROMS CHEERS *
* Why Final Release : This would be A onetime release of this UNOFFICIAL ROM I'll be focusing more in AEX Pie/Q, Pixel Pie/Q and Havoc Pie/Q.*

I don't mean to make this a troubleshooting post, but I think you're talking about expressluke GSIs(or any Q GSI for that matter). If you are, you can try this patch to get it to boot. I do think some patching to fix LTE and some features that don't work would be great as well.

What my real plan is to make patch into the GSI Sources before Building it.. Those patches include voLTE fix and other features. Integrate APTX coming from Razer GSI system.img.. and many more..
Nice to see some things to look forward to. Hopefully soon we'll see a stock Q then others will take interest like this guy to come some roms specially geared for RP2.

I don't mean to be mean, but I feel like you should label them as patched GSIs then, as opposed to a dedicated ROM made specifically for the hardware of the Razer Phone 2. It's still awesome that you're working to make GSIs better for the Razer Phone 2; they're nearly daily driver material in my opinion.

Thank you for your work. Will you try to sort out why Verizon doesn't work on AOSP as well? It seems to have to signal problems on GSI.
hello, just tryin this rom and cannot get into google play to loggin just when google play moves to loggin screen its became a blackscreen :/
After Magisk-v20.3 has obtained the permission ROOT, it cannot be turned off after shutting down, staying on the first screen, and restarting cyclically. Restart the machine normally, and boot off. You need to flash in the boot again. You cannot use Magisk to obtain the permission ROOT. My phone is in F2FS format
---------- Post added at 08:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:35 AM ----------
There is also a small problem. There will be vase stripes in rec operation, which may be a problem with my machine. Thanks for your work, making Razer useful
It can be LTE???
Sms or mms is can work.. but lte does not work.
LTE+ icon x mark
so this image has mixed result?
Just a friendly reminder that the link doesn't work at the moment. Would like to get my hands on this ROM so I can try it out on my phone.

FAQ
Miui Camera
Miui Camera support has been added:
https://github.com/ArianK16a/device_xiaomi_miuicamera I have started to work on my repo, it is basically done now.
I hope that this new structure will help me to keep better updated and organized then other repos.
The vendor/xiaomi/miuicamera will get recreated everytime one updates blobs and updating them is just running the script
Also device/xiaomi/miuicamera just includes scripts to regenerate makefiles and extract new blobs.
Gcam is stupid to ship imo because the user can't easily install his APK if he wants.
For miui camera it is different to gcam, you can never install miuicamera just as apk, you have to flash a zip which would override the stock one anyway. GCam as system just blocks other gcam apks...
So the next build will include this MiuiCamera instead of snap. Has anyone experienced problems while testing the camera at the system/root or the zip?
Permissions are fixed (look at the commits for further details).
AI features has been enabled, doesn't seem to make a big difference though

Treble
This ROM is of course Treble enabled, but you have to use AB GSIs now! This might be an advantage because all new devices ship as System-as-Root so most GSIs are available for S-A-R.
To flash a GSI you have to Flash the TWRP and LineageOS build but instead of booting at this point you have to wipe System and flash a GSI to system-image and boot afterwards.
This does NOT repartition your device to AB, it is still A only. Read about it here: https://source.android.com/devices/bootloader/system-as-root
Recent builds use System as Root.
Here comes an update for System as Root at sagit!
In Android 9, non-A/B devices should adopt system-as-root so they can be updated via a system-only OTA.

Does Pie LineageOS require a more specific recovery to flash or the Treble enabled recovery that i used to flash oreo with is good enough
I think it takes a long time to Upload.

Technically you only need vendor yes. Best practice would be to just flash full OOS image because that way you're updating other partitions too (like modem or the bootloader) which is why I recommended it. Also common practice on the Pixel devices, which is what I've been working on before moving to OnePlus, so it's still "into me"

Steps to always take.
1. Flash oos 9.0.11 (or whatever is current)
2. Flash twrp
3. Reboot recovery
4. Repeat 1-3
5. Flash ROM
6. Flash twrp
7. reboot recovery
8. Flash gapps and/or magisk
9. Reboot system.
10. Thank Dev.
*Optional* 11. Complain on things not working.
*Optional* 12. Goes back to oos

Sure you are right and is infallible method, I just only saying that I flashed all the custom ROM without flash before oxygen but simply making a factory reset, then wipe dalwik, system and data, then install ROM, TWRP, reboot in TWRP, install gapps, magisk, factory reset and all work perfectly.
I had oxygen ob3 previously installed and flashed 6 ROM in this way simply and fast.

I'm wondering if it's possible to actually merge the mi9 kernel source to upstream. It would require the individual drivers to be merged separately and to work even with mainline devices. However if it's possible it would mean we can use kernel-common guaranteeing the fastest kernel updates possible, and increasing the security thanks to kernel maintainers scrutiny of the source.

I'm afraid not there is too much out of tree code. Getting to this point took many many hours of pulling in commits, resolving conflicts, and chasing problems. Caf likes to keep things custom. I do expect that eventually when they release their 4.14.y code officially it will be a bit cleaner but you might as well work on porting 4.19.y because it's likely going to be the same amount of work

Summary of what this does...
For those that haven't followed the Telegram group, this is my understanding of what this does for the non-developers out there.
If you flash this to your phone, you are setup to run all GSI ROM builds. That means GSI Lineage OS, or GSI Android Q or other. Summary: this is making your MIUI device behave like a normal Android device. Not like the Xiaomi hacked version of MIUI.
Kelsi correct me if I'm wrong about anything.

I think it is more a generic and upstream version of the kernel without Xiaomi proprietary blobs or custom build arguments.
Progress today on the kernel, it is now capable of compiling inline with lineageos and other pie based distributions.

this is a work in progress. the point is it's a kernel that can be compiled inline with a rom and has the latest and greatest updates from mainline linux as well as fixes to xiaomi code. It is a base for development of proper roms and not really meant to augment stock roms. That said it's up to you to try and report back I'm too busy compiling and flashing changes to it to actually use my phone and test for stability at this point. This isn't about getting high antutu scores
I've ordered a mi 9 and it should arrive Saturday. I keep getting excited but then remember the 320 hour deal and sink again lol. Regardless, the work you are doing is appreciated and should make it much cleaner going forward. Thank you.
I fixed an issue where the kernel regularly failed to boot when not plugged into a computer. Took me a while to notice because I'm always plugged in lol.

I haven't tested with xiaomi.eu recently you can try it and if it doesn't work flash the stock one.
got 3x battery drain on GSI with @randomblame boot.img so i wanted to roll back to any other boot.img but couldn't boot with any TWRP or any sequence of global/eu flashing until i reflash this kernel.
I am not sure it is only me, flash this over Global Developer Rom, it boots but can't get camera to work. It says can't connect to Camera.
8/128 version an it comes with original Chinese MIUI. Tried RevOS which is based on Global Dev Rom same outcome.

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

Give me some logs!
do i read that right?! gapps are included in this rom?! i think everyone should choose the gapps they want to use for themselves and not the gapps you/the developers think are the best. so, as long as the gapps are included in this rom, i'm not willing to test it....sorry!
Me neither as you don't even say what gapps are included.
If any, I use only pico but you probably chose a bigger one according to the ROM size.
AOSPA has gapps basically... You can see other devices that have PA included gapps.
HLTE is a special case that disables gapps. @craP_cillA, @bmwdroid
I use AOSPA's gapps for now. You can search it in google...

@SmgKhOaRn - as I said in my post #9, why Custom Roms that include Gapps. I agree with @craP_cillA and @bmwdroid.
PixelExperience is a rom including Gapps, but it is Pixel fm Google - that make sense and I'll not flashing it!!! but for your rom, pls let user select and flash their own preferences of apps!
On another hand, I'm excited to test a rom based on code Aurora ...

I will push builds without gapps, but no one gave me logs

Downloads:
Please follow the install instructions in your device's Wiki page linked below exactly, and make sure your device's firmware matches the required firmware listed.
nash - Official builds - Potentially coming soon! - Camera I broken and we are struggling to fix it.
nash - My unofficial with Google Apps/Pixel goodies included. Passes SafetyNet by default. OTA's roll roughly once a month. Support not guaranteed or implied.
If you don't follow these instructions, or use 3rd party add-ons (like Magisk) please don't expect support here.
Known Bugs:
Camera is buggy/broken at the moment (ugh - working on it but no leads yet)
The EQ Apps for Audio Mods (eg. JBL2 App) won't work, and will crash.
Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor doesn't work -- No support present in the OSS Audio HAL. If it was written in, it wouldn't be used by anything in LineageOS, as the normal proximity sensor works fine.
Audio Mods have no alarm or notification audio through them.
Camera Mods don't (and won't ever) work.
Find any? Report them according to this guide.
Notes:
The only supported GApps package at the moment is MindTheGapps, linked on our Wiki page about gapps.
Official Lineage OS builds for nash ship with full Project Treble compatibility! Flash GSI's to your heart's content after flashing Lineage. Please don't report GSI bugs here, report them instead to the GSI's maker.
Code:
Technical details on our Treble implementation:
Treble is enabled with VNDK30, and VNDK runtime enforcement. VNDK runtime enforcement means that unlike most "ported treble" you'll see, ours is just as it would be from the OEM, and can run GSIs. without need for hacks or additional flashable zips. We relabeled /oem to /vendor (as /oem isn't wasn't used in custom ROMs anyway). To use a GSI, flash official Lineage, then flash your GSI, it's that simple! Flashing a factory image will likely write over /oem and remove the mock vendor image.

Hi! I loved the Android 13 version, thanks a lot!
Thank you for Android 13, it's a great news
can you tell me when I have official Lineage 19.1 is it possible to upgrade unofficial Lineage 20 or should wait official build?
When official build will come?
What's your suggestion official is better or unofficial?
What's differences?

You can't jump back and forth from official to unofficial.
Not sure yet, infrastructure is getting ready.
Not sure, if you want pixel like, use mine, if you want lineage without any changes, use official.
Don't have time to details the diffs.

thank you for your help, I attached logcat.txt as you want it from me
Looks like official Lineage 20.0 came out for some devices, so official builds for nash should start soon.
I upgraded from 18: I sideloaded (after Format data / factory reset) lineage-20.0-20221219-UNOFFICIAL-nash.zip from Lineage Recovery v18. I confirmed that Lineage Recovery is now v20, so I assume this is OK? I couldn't get fastboot to work, but this is probably because I did this in Winblows.
Aside from the aforementioned Camera problems, this works great! With the v18 build, I was unable to power off with my Mophie battery pack attached (phone would reboot unless I removed battery) but this build has fixed that! Thank you for your continued hard work!
