Is it possible to flash my old metropcs moto e5 play with the stock firmware for xfinity mobile so I can get it hooked up and use it with my xfinity mobile account?

I looking at an assignment that would require 6 months in Zelenograd. I have contacted Moto who recommended I pick up a unlocked GSM unit. However, I'm a sprint customer. Does the CDMA X have GMS radios but disabled by sprint? If so, can the X be flashed such that when I travel to Zelenograd I'll be able to use a local sim card? TIA

hey there is this cool new website to help you check if your phone will work with a different carrier http://www.willmyphonework.net/ and from what I know no you cant unlock that phone or root it but it still might work with T-Mobile I have no idea.
Yes, you can unlock your phone to use it on t-mobile network. I use it with tmobile.
You should pay for this, for me was $13, you just need to install an app. Moto x Unlock.
I'm thinking about pre-ordering an unlocked Galaxy S10 from Samsung (because the $550 trade-in for my S9 is amazing), but I'm currently using Xfinity Mobile as my carrier. I've heard that Xfinity Mobile does not play well with unlocked android devices unless they are flashed with specific firmware. Any idea if/when Xfinity Mobile firmware will be available to flash? I've seen people have success with Verizon variants on Xfinity Mobile. Does anyone have any insight? Would I need to have an active Verizon SIM card in order to get the device working initially before swapping in my Xfinity Mobile SIM card? Would I have to SIM unlock a Verizon version? Xfinity mobile uses Verizon towers, and all S10s are interchangeable..... So as long as your IMEI checks out with XFINITY on their BYOD page.... Then any old G973U or U1 that IS Sim Unlocked will do... It just so happens that Verizon does NOT lock their phones anymore, so you might want to just start there anyways....
After that just download the frimware for G973U - CCT with the samfirm tool. Flash AP,BL,CP,CSC,USERDATA with newest odin.

Currently have a Moto e5 play and want to sim unlock it for Sprint but it only has a 14 digit IMEI TF. Can Sprints firmware be flashed to it to get the 15th digit or is this paper weight. Perevious owner did not have it on the program for more than a year so yeah im out 20 bucks cool
I have the Moto G5s plus retus unlocked version and am currently on Verizon. I used to be on H2O (uses AT&T service) I am wondering if installing a custom rom will break compatibility with the carrier in any way. H2O was very forgiving on my old moto E 1st gen when using a custom ROM.
With H2O I just bought a SIM online registered it online popped in and it just worked.
With Verizon I had to go to their store in person and fill out a bunch of stuff. They had to take my phone and get all sorts of information from it and do what ever they do.
I am just worried that if I custom rom my G5s plus on verizon that it will break compatibility with something on their network.
