Anyway to record WhatsAspp calls? - Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Questions & Answers

I have rooted Xperia XZ1 compact with regular Whatsapp installed. Is there a way to record voice calls? I know some apps claim to do this but when I tried they said my device was not supported.

Need a Call Recorder for windows mobile

I have the Sony x1.
I always find myself wishing I had recorded calls.
Is there a way to have your phone automatically record all calls.
If it was just a stand alone program that needed to be activated each time I think would forget.
Try this:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-acr-auto-call-recorder.html
Same as above:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536472
It only works one way though...
The X1 has call recording built-in through the Notes app (also accesible through the phone dialer. Once in the Notes app, go to Menu->Use Recording Toolbar. You can record the conversation while writing into the notes app. It's unfortunate SE didn't integrate this better into the dialer app.
You can record both sides of the conversation if you use speakerphone only. Using the handset, it will only record yourself and the other end will be inaudible. I believe this is some hard limitation in the design of the phone and not something that can be overcome by software.
EDIT: Ooops, I see you want calls recorded automatically...Notes doesn't do that
How do I access the feature through the phone dialer.
If you are using the built-in SE dialer, it is the icon that looks like a sticky note with a tack through it. Pressing that will load the Notes app with the number you are dialing already inserted. From there, just follow the instructions in my previous post.
I believe once a call is initiated, you can still run notes the traditional way (Start Menu->Notes) and achieve the same thing if you have a different dialer you are using.
This functionality with notes is cute, but it only record some 30 seconds. How can I change it. Through regedit or?
One more thing: The loudness of person that I called on recording is miserable... My voice is lot louder... how can I fix this?

As stated in my first post, you have to use speakerphone to get a usable record volume from the other caller. This is inherent in the X1 design.
I don't understand why some phones have this limitation and others don't. My old Moto v60 could record both ends of the phone call perfectly without any fuss.

Look at Resco Audio Recorder.
I have tried many programs and none work perfectly so here is what i did to get perfect results:
Plug your xperia into the "Line in" port on your computer using a male to male 3.5 mm audio cable - after that i used a program like Audacity to record the call.
It records your voice and the person you are speaking to with perfect results.
^^^ That's clever, but how do you fit your computer in your pocket?

Recording calls via Bluetooth Headset...

Hello friends!
I have a SGSL and the biggest problem with Android is that it doesn't allow us to record both side calls unless we use our phone on hands free. I tries many software's that claims to record both party calls but none succeeded. Now, are there any blue tooth headsets available in the market that has the capability to record calls within it. I am sure Android cant do any thing with that.
Please also guide if there is any software that can actually record both party calls internally.
Thank you.

Not Possible with the gear, However you can use your phone to record the call, but it requires add-on, (Don't remember what its called, I am using an international rom and it has it built into the phone dialer.
Edit: Try this app in google play: Galaxy Call Recorder
I use Galaxy S3/S4 Call Recorder by Killer mobile, it will record the other person clear as but not you if using the watches bluetooth, I only got the watch yesterday so have not done a lot of test. see if this will work on the note. I just wish you could accept to keep the recording or delete it from the watch when on auto recording.

Bbm Voice and Zello microphone problem

Both apps have issues with microphone. Bbm voice and Zello's microphone functions over the receiver audio speaker(earpiece) instead of the phone's default located beneath. Did some test only to find that the problem exist in my Sony xperia z ultra. Tried other apps like Skype and phone calling did not appear to have the microphone problem and it worked accordingly from its default microphone (which is beneath the handset) Any thoughts on this? I am running 4.4.2 Build: 14.3.A.0.757.

Hi Arif,
I am also facing same problem after upgrading lolipop in my Z2, i went to Sony Center they enabled Hearing Aids option in call settings
now my voice is clear to the callers. I am not sure weather it's an hardware issue or software issue.
Go to Settings then Call there you can find Hearing Aids
Thank you,
Raam.
