[Q] "Error! Camera not available"

I've just encountered this error message when trying to open the camera. I tried clearing app data and cache for everything camera related then rebooting, I then did a factory reset and I still get the same problem. Anybody have this before or know of a solution? I'm on 14.1.G.1.518 rooted, locked bootloader and I haven't done any updates since I bought it 6 weeks ago. Camera worked fine yesterday, no changes have been made since then apart from a reboot. Hope someone can help, thanks!

u can test these;
1. setting > apps > all > camera > clear cache + clear data + force stop (clear data will remove all ur modification on setting of app)
2. do 1. + restart
3. also check another camera app
4. force restart ( i think it was pwr btn + vol. down for 10 seconds & 3 vibrates- anyway it s better to check support section of sonymobile website)
5. finally u can just repair ur phone by PCC (it will install latest firmware and so u will lose ur root access and should try again for rooting)

Need help for camera error in Moto X XT1052

Hi everyone, it's been 2 months since I've started to get a camera error, in the beginning it was cleared after a restart, but this past 3 weeks it didn't work. I have been using ROM][Official][6.0.1] LineageOS 13, when I started to get these errors. I did try rebooting it for more than 50 times, cleaned up application cashe, system cashe, dalvik, full factory reset, installing rom updates by Ota or even flashing it by TWRP. I did try another rom like Mokee 6.0.1 but same thing happened, it worked for a day and then error. After every installation the camera works for a while, and when I open it it has some settings that are strange, like picture size 2.1 mpixels, instead of 10.1 mpixels and picture quality at 85%. So it works fine but then it stops working. I attached 2 screen shots of errors that could explain the problem.
I'm so desperate to get any help from all of you that might had the same issues with camera error.

Moto X unexpected soft brick after battery totally discharge.

The phone just died for the battery ( i have the battery problem of this phone, it dies on 20% battery like you disconnect the same) and I charged a little (20%) and when I boot it up, the phone is soft bricked (just ROM boot screen and vibrates occasionally).
I have last LineageOS Nightly for the phone, root, and busybox.
I had this problem a few times in the past and i successfully solved it by erasing data in TWRP, but its REALLY FRUSTATING format all the apps and start again without previous backup.
I want to find the way to solve it without formating the /data.

i have the same problem with Ressurection Remix V5.8.2 (Moto X 2014), i found a "fix" without lose any data, simple re-flash with before version of the rom (and clean cache) (in my case Ressurection Remix V5.8.1) and start phone, after boot (ignore some app errors) quick reboot in recover mode and re-flash with the actual version of rom you use (clean again cache) (in my case Ressurection Remix V5.8.2).

I have the same issue when I have opengapps installed. So it may be fixed with uninstalling opengapps.
It works on ViperOS v2.1 although brings inconvenience

Fingerprint not work

Hi everyone. I have a big issue after update ota at july 2017. After update my phone stuck at samsung logo. the i reset by factory data reset. After my phone can boot, i have problem the fingerprint. Its say "make sure the home key is clean and dry, the try again". I frusted about this. i want to setup my fingerprint. my home key clean and dry. Anyone have this issue too? any fix for this bug?

my mi a2 gone in bootloop after ota update

it was the latest android 10 security update and after that the phone goes in boot loop ( you data may be corrupt and need a factory reset ) and then give me 2 options :
try again
factory reset
i did the factory reset and it worked for a while the it bricked again
i am a complete noob in this case so what should i do ??

well to hell with xiaomi phone i sent it to repair shop ... i wouldn't recommend xiaomi to anyone anymore ...NEVER AGAIN !!!
