My HTC desire 626s inexplicably entered into a bootloop. I'm aware that my bootloader is locked and wanted to inquire as to the proper course of action and steps to resolving the issue.
Sorry if this thread already exists. I'm having a hard time finding the straightforward walkthrough.
Thank you.
How did you unexpectedly enter a bootloop? Use the ROM STOCK or Marsmallow?

Saw someone said that there's no difference between the cdma version of htc 510 and the gsm version. So I think it can be sim unlocked just like the htc one m7/m8.
Here's what I've tried.
First unlock bootloader at http://www.htcdev.com/
Then root the device as this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/general/how-to-root-htc-desire-510-t2951744
Then following the htc one unlock procedure as this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704
Since 510 has 4.4.2, so a modified HtcOMADM_SPCS is needed. That's where I got stuck. The modified file shared on the forum causes vDM client crashes, and no API pop out.
Any ideas?
I have the same issue. any ideas?
you have S-OFF ?
This device has lots of potential, maybe we should offer a bounty for this.

I'm pretty certain that you have already had your question answered.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/des...covery-wont-install-desire-510-t2977966/page3
Just to clarify, you have a 64bit version of the HTC Desire 510. At this present moment in time there is NO recovery for our phones.
You have unlocked your bootloader and flashed a 32bit variant or TWRP recovery which will NOT work on our 64bit phones....... As Dipspit has already told you, you will have to wait until a 64bit version is available........
Hopefully this should clear things up for you......
Patience.

Also FYI I am in the same boat..........

Hi Guys
I am very new to this. I bought a M7 from ebay. It was a T-Mobile UK phone. It had the latest lollipop OS on and it was working fine. I was transferring my files over from my other M7 and it suddenly turned off. Since then it is just stuck on the HTC logo. I have tried to hard rest but even after selecting factory reset or recovery it restarts to the logo and is stuck.
Also on the bootloader it says LOCKED and not TAMPERED.
Please can someone tell me how to resolve this step by step as I have been searching the forums but am extremely confused (certain links to toolkits are not available and I just do not understand all the technical stuff like unlock, s on /off!!)
Please someone help!

Is the phone still under warranty? If yes send it back.
Otherwise post the output of "fastboot getvar all". Remove the IMEI and SerialNo before posting it.
I have a htc one m7 that my neighbor had me fix because he tried updating but failed, now all you could do on the phone is go on the bootloader.
I was going to reinstall the firmware but with the bootloader being locked and all i cant.
I have already tried several ways to unlock bootloader but not succesful since i cant go into the phone.
If you could help ill be grateful.

Do you have all the necessary files for this? (ADB, fastboot, TWRP img file, and SuperSU zip)
626(s) is totally different from 626... ive tried it and does not work. i had to buy a XTC2CLIP to get it back to the way it was and have a unlocked bootloader as well... still in search of the 626 root tho
I have the ATT 626 and it worked flawlessly for me. Download the TWRP IMG file then flash it through ADB commands. Then download SuperSU flashable zip and flash in TWRP. Not responsible for any damage though, just trying 2 help!

Well recovery don't work and it's basically destroyed my phone tried flashing the ruu but nothing is working if the phone dies I have strip it to take battery out to start it again so yeah I'll wait for propa root process thanks anyway guys

The process for root for HTC phones are unlock bootloader, flash recovery, flash SuperSU zip. To use RUU the bootloader needs to be locked. To root, bootloader must be unlocked through HTC dev portal. This is the "proper" way to root.
Well as you can see my boot loader is unlocked and I'm still stuck.. I can't wipe my phone I can't do anything can anybody give me some answers

You must relock the bootloader first. Then you can use the RUU for your device.
Code:
fastboot oem lock
kingroot
ok my friend so heres what i did i first had to unlock the phone was google locked bought it from somebody else for 20 bucks i thought what a steal well maybe it was don't know but only to find it was google locked after 4 days of various work arounds i figured one out myself based on youtube workarounds and one i figured out got it unlocked didn't want to mess with a lot of bs so tried kingroot to no sucess until i unlocked bootloader through htc tried kingroot and voila another day and time i will twrp bootloader and super su it but for now just want to enjoy my new toy.
Hope this will help you and others out!
