Hi m8,
It seems that your device has something corrupted in system files. You can redownload your firmware using erecovery. In order to do that, do as it says on my SS bellow. If you need more assistance, please let me know
Later edit: Because i don't know if you're on EMUI 9.1 or 10, i post you bellow settings for EMUI 10 (the ones in SS are for EMUI 9.1)
How to check and download using eRecovery on EMUI 10:
It doesn't require a cable plugged in and using this method WON'T wipe your phone data, it's acting like an normal OTA. In order to acces eRecovery, Power OFF your device or Restart it. Press then simultaneously POWER+VOLUME UP and keep them pressed untill you see Huawei on screen. Release the POWER button and keep pressing VOLUME UP untill you are in eRecovery menu, then release button. When in menu, select Update mode, then select eRecovery mode then Update and recover system then Download update and recover. Connect it to Wi-Fi and it should start the update. At the end, it will restart to system.

Hi m8,
1. You can try first time using the method i've mentioned first;
2. If it's not working, then you can use Fastboot (for info on how to, please check this post) to get info about cust & build version in order to flash a dload firmware (it's the Huawei firmware used in their service centers in order to revive softbricked phones or when they change motherboards) from my thread (again, info later if first step isn't working) ;
3. If it's password protected and has EMUI 9. 1 and it's FRP locked, you can try using some free methods to bypass FRP.

Can't see any info, you forgot to add them ?. If you do as i mentioned and if there is a dload firmware for your device, yes, you might revive it.
Later edit: in build version, i think it's stated WEC.... I need to know what it's the current device version. Do as i said on my post, the one using Fastboot and let me know.

he told me this happened when you tried to factory reset. So i know i asked already , what are the chances i could reinstall and make this phone fully functional again. Thanks
This looks like a corrupted file and the phone is still good.

OK m8, YES, i can help you revive your unit, BUT you need to do as following:
1. You will need an OTG adapter or OTG cable + a USB memory stick (at least 8GB exFat formatted) or a Huawei NM Card;
2. Download this firmware from here - https://androidhost.ru/Vyn . After you've downloaded, extract dload folder and rename ONLY those 2 files inside as following:
update_sd_cust_VOG-L29_hw_eu.zip to update_sd_cust_VOG-L29_hw_eea.zip
update_sd_preload_VOG-L29_hw_eu.zip to update_sd_preload_VOG-L29_hw_eea.zip
3. Proceed to flash the firmware as explained bellow:
Instructions on how to flash:
1a. - Upgrade with USB-OTG
- an OTG cable and an USB memory stick (8GB at least) formatted as ExFat (also you can use an USB drive + USB type C adapter like the ones from Samsung);
Open the .zip and extract the dload folder on the USB memory stick
- Turn off the phone
- Connect the USB memory stick with the OTG cable (or the Samsung adapter with the USB drive)
- Now press the three buttons at the same time: Volume UP & Volume DOWN + Power button
- Your phone will light up and vibrate, keep the buttons pressed and only when you see the blank screen and EMUI appears you will release the buttons. The flashing will start and lasts about 4-6 minutes. After flashing your phone will restart automatically.
OR
1b. Upgrade with Huawei NM Card
- extract the dload folder to your Nm card, then turn off your phone.
- press the three buttons at the same time: Volume UP & Volume DOWN + Power button
Your phone will light up and vibrate, keep the buttons pressed and only when you see the blank screen and EMUI appears you will release the buttons. The flashing will start and lasts about 4-6 minutes. After flashing your phone will restart automatically.
4. After you've flashed the firmware and phone restarted, connect it to PC, install HiSuite v10 and search for update. It should give you 2-3 updates, latest beeing EMUI 9.1.0.260. After latest update is done, do a FACTORY RESET of your phone and enjoy your device!
Let me know if you need more info!

Yes, you need to know the Google account password otherwise it will get (if not allready) FRP locked. You can unlock FRP for free using SAFE MODE (there are a lot of videos on Ytb about it) or if it's not working you can pay 10-18 $ to get it FRP unlocked (not to me, to an on-line service center - i can give in PM - that users used to get their phones working after FRP locked).

The benefit is that it BECOMES dual SIM as it is only disabled in software not hardware.

Great you have posted this How To BadWolfYe - only bits i am not sure of are the 'unlock boto loader' as see no instructions for this (unless i am being completely dim, which is possible!) and where to find an unlock code in case we need to relock the bootloader... or do we have to re-lock it after to get OTA? Actually if we do get OTA will be get the dual or single SIM OTA once upgradng to this?
Thank you for the guide.
Will it work for the P10 also?
Thank you
ioannis
Has anyone got this to work? This is my first Hauwei device so I wasn't 100% sure how to complete some of the steps. What I have a the moment is a phone that reports as having 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage space and running Android 5.1. Could anyone please expand on this guide or let me know where I went wrong?
Okay, I don't really know how I managed to do it but I've managed to change the software of my L09 to that of an L29 and it works fine. So thanks for this guide.
After stumbling through this guide I ended up with a device that had some weird software with ndr90m test keys (whatever that means0. However he Dual SIM worked. So then I followed the guide from here with the firmware from this post and now I have phone that correctly (or should that be incorrectly as strictly speaking it was originally an L09) identifies a P10 Plus L29.

Which one of the guides did you follow on that page? First or second?
Also... Just to confirm that all you did was use the 29 rom from here rather than the 09 from there?
Plus (sorry for all questions).... Your second sim now works ok?

Hi all,
First of all: BadWolfYe! Thank you the guide!
So yesterday I got my new P10 plus, but I became really upset when I realized it is only one SIM version, so decided to make it 2
But!
OK, I did not do anything like this in the last few years, but I am not totally amateur. But I had problem wit it...
I did everything as written.
I restored the VKY-L29C432DualSIM and now I do not know what to do...
I know, next point, but my pc doesn't recognize the phone. And ADB doesn't either.
When I turn it on, it goes to Huawei erecovery, wants wifi and download something to recover.
It was TWRP recovery before on it, but it seems it disappeared after VKY-L29C432DualSIM...
Unfortunately I had to come to work, so could not play with it and to be honest I am too tired after this to think clearly.
Does anybody know how can I do the next step? (Via Fastboot flash the erecoverycustom.img file with this commands
Thanks.

I'll attempt a guide here that's maybe not the quickest way of doing it but it's the way that works for me. The guide also assumes you can manage to download a quick adb setup and use adb from the command line. Bear in mind that BadWolfYe has written guides on what I'm about to cover below and that's how I learnt. TWRP install by BadWolfYe.
0) Take working L09 phone and bootloader unlock code (I put the details of my phone into the Huawei website and got a code in return)
1) Enable developer options by going to Settings>About phone and tapping 'Build number' a bunch of times until it says you have enabled developer options.
2)Now go to Settings>Developer options and select 'enable OEM unlock'. Also enable USB debugging and ADB etc.
3)Download and rename twrp to twrp.img from the link in the BadWolfYe thread here
4)ADB reboot bootloader' from the command line and enter 'fastboot flash recovery twrp.img'
5)Press and hold volume up and power until you are in TWRP and then back up your OEM partition. (if you can't get into TWRP then you may need to repeat step 4 and also do 'fastboot flash recovery2 twrp.img).
6)Use the File manager in TWRP to replace the OEM files with files from the zip file download link in this thread above.
7)Restore OEM partition and then use the Shutdown option in TWRP.
8)Download the ROM from above This BadWolfYe link and unzip to find 3 files.
9)Place files in a folder called HWOTA on a microSD card and place card into phone
10) Download this file from this guide and extract to your computers hard drive.
11) run update.bat from that extracted contents as an administrator and follow the on screen instructions. The on screen instructions basically take you through from step four on the stechguide.com method 1 through to the end of the guide. I think I remember you get some options and I just use option 1 twice, from SD card and not rebrand.
If you can follow the guides they should work fine and you'll end up with a completely stock dual SIM phone with a locked bootloader.
From that point on I unlock the bootloader on mine again, install TWRP again and use it to flash Magisk 12 for root. Using root and Titanium Backup I restore my old device ID and a bunch of apps and settings and things are fine. However on the next reboot the launcher refuses to run and I'm left with an unusable phone (I don't know how to launch apps without the launcher) and I get error messages about running short of space as something has filled the internal memory with what appears to be junk files. I then start from step 8 in my guide and get a phone with a locked bootloader and no root but the device ID I want and all my apps and data.
If someone could offer me any help with regards to this last part I'd be grateful. I don't understand what causes the launcher issue.
Fixed...
Device ID, I think same - unfortunately my PC was stupid (nooo, not me) and I make the note in it so I lost it
2 SIM works - however only EE ones so the phone is locked. (Testing the online unlock code sellers )
Bootloader locked
Met "ndr90m test keys" as dave852, but hes linked page and 1. method helped. Oh, and could not install L29 ROM with volume + - and power, only with the linked method. I think that method could do everything after you opened bootloader, but will not test it. I am happy with my L29
But the important, there is a way to make L29 from L09

I would guess it would be possible using the files from the OEM backup you made (if you kept them) and a downloaded L09 ROM (available in a few places) but I'm not 100% sure and I'm not going to try it.

No, I have not any backup. I forgot to made any so I am lucky that I did not need it
I somehow managed to convert my single sim to dual-sim but unfortunately i cannot modify nor set any ringtone to the 2nd sim. Any ideas of how i can fix it ?
LOL. I gave this several attempts, alas, without success. I kept ending up with the test keys / strange device ID (ION something).
So I decided to skip my rebranding attempt and go back to L09. After "rebranding" it to L09 again and after flashing B130 for L09 I ended up with dual SIM support anyway. Eveything seems to be checking out as far as I can tell. Not sure if OTA will work though, time will tell I guess. Safety net etc. also checks out.
The options for dual SIM are showing and I've tested it. Everything just works.
Can anyone confirm that after enabling the second SIM slot that their phone now has 2 x IMEI numbers?
I just recently purchased p10 plus . for 3days the Fone was working fine both sims 3/virgin then suddenly emergency calls only on 2nd sim. I tried to deactivate activate ect ect . until I lost both sims. Soft hard reset sim 1/working sim2 emergency calls only. If I swap the sims around in the tray same issue . then with only one sim either 3/virgin full teceotuin if I make or receive a call after the call I have no reception I wil l need to swap the sim from tray1 to tray 2 . and the funny thing is both sims will receive and send texts all day long with no issues
Any ideas
Thanks in advance
Has anybody done this and checked warranty status in Huawei Hi Care app?
I can confirm this works 100%. Dualsim working. Serial, imei all still the same. Recovery back to original too

Huawei P9 EVA-L09 stuck on eRecovery, factory data reset failed

Hello friends
I find myself in a very delicate situation
I have a P9 EVA-L09 32GB with B181 version of software, android 6.
After a failed update to android 7, the phone only normal starts in eRecovery where i don't have usable options.
The phone can boot in fastboot and it enters fastboot where the 2 options, factory data reset and wipe cache partitions both can be used but at factory data rest says "reset failed" and wipe cache partition doesn't produce any visible change.
The questions is, can this phone be rescued in some way?
Can it be reflashed in any way?
Thank you in advance for your answers
from what i have read on the internet, there are 3 distinct functions:
erecovery = volume up and power
fastboot = volume down and power
fastboot&rescue mode = volume down and connect usb cable plugged into pc and using the hisuite software
i have a microsd card
can i reflash somehow a new firmware ?
i have read of another method using the pc and entering commands from the computer

you need a way to use your sdcard without the phone (sdcard reader or another phone)
if you have this follow this guide strictly:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/guide-debranding-to-c432-updating-to-t3551523
with this guide you will get back to a working 6.0 Firmware and update it to latest Nougat 7.0 firmware.
thank you
i already did some searching on the net and the main issue is the unlocking the bootloader, this must be the first step, without this, its impossible to flash/rewrite anything on the phone
the problem at Huawei phones is that the unlocking is done through a code which either you get it free directly from Huawei or by paying third parties
there is one last problem, the FRP (factory reset protection) feature, which so sar is not very clear to me how it fits into the picture and what it does exactly
the problem of getting an unlock code is further more complicated if the phone cant be accessed from the menu or you do not have the box on which the IMEI, S/N and other data are written
There is no reason to unlock bootloader first. If u follow the guide above it will work. I was in the same situation.

i would like to ask you a different question but related
Is it technically possible for a phone, in this case a P9 to have a specific software version locked on to it? in other words, to be impossible to change the version of the software?
i am asking you because i have managed to reflash my phone and is working again but i was forced to put exactly the same version as before, B181.

If u are on B181 you can update to any version above if it matches your OEMINFO.
The guide i posted above will change your OEMINFO to C432 (EU Version) and after this u will receive every new update.
Any provide can use its own OEMINFO so if your provide dont push any update abbove 181 you are locked to this.
But again use the guide above strictly and you will get latest Nougat.
Short:
You cant be locked to any software version at least if you are on C432.
i received OTA to B182 and immediately after installation i got OTA update to B372
problem solved, learned a lot about Huawei software system
thank you for your help

LOCKED bootloader / possible to flash anything?

Hello guys,
Is it possible to flash anything to the Redmi 4X Global if the bootloader is locked? Perhaps using fastboot, Mi Flash Tool or some unofficial tool I don't know about? Maybe using the device's IMEI numbers and SN? Just shooting in the dark here.
My situation:
Locked Mi account, credentials unknown. Want to reset.
Details:
A relative of mine works at a store that sells smartphones. Boss rarely bothers sending defective devices for repairs and often gives them to employees instead. A customer brought this device back because some of the pixels on the screen are dead. He said he had performed a factory reset on the phone. They gave him a new one and handed the "defective" one to my relative who noticed the Mi Account Locked thing upon booting. When I got the device yesterday, the battery was dead. I charged it a little bit and when it turned on, it went through the setup normally, I was able to use the device without issues for 30 seconds or so (!), THEN it locked me out! That makes me think that if I let the battery go down to 0 and wait before charging and turning it back on, that will give me enough time to go to developed options and turn on OEM unlock and USB debugging (which needs a SIM card I think for some reason but OK). Then I may be able to unlock it; but that requires a lot of waiting and is unlikely to work anyway.
If you have an FRP locked Samsung phone, you just flash the stock ROM through Odin and it's as good as new. But Xiaomi locks everything down so tightly, there isn't even a download mode (just reboots to system if I choose "download" on the recovery menu)!
Wondering if there's any way to bypass all this? I don't mind the risk of bricking it cause it's useless as it is. Opening the device's back and tinkering is not an obstacle either :good: In all honestly, I understand Xiaomi does this for security (although if Samsung doesn't do it, I'm not sure why Xiaomi even bothers) and it would make me feel better knowing if someone stole my locked Xiaomi phone, they wouldn't be able to use this, but at the moment it's simply frustrating. I also know that officially unlocking the bootloader often doesn't even work, gets stuck or you never get an unlock code (personal experience with broken Xiaomi unlocking system)...
Any info appreciated. Thanks in advance.
i have a bootloader locked redmi x4 and wanted to take its original firmware backup (requires edl-mode) before unlocking/rooting/tinkering the device (i always do this with all my devices), tried every possible solution (except test point) but couldn't succeed.
You can try with deep flash cable or patched fastboot if your x4 has an old firmware...
And as per my knowledge, shorting test points is the only solution for new/updated xiaomi devices to open edl-mode now, only then you can reflash it... Good luck...
if you find any other solution, please share. As currently i have to wait for 3 days before i can unlock my x4...

So, I Googled the Test Point method and it worked like a charm! Thanks for the info!! :good:
Basically you open the phone's back, you unscrew a small metal plate and then you have access to 2 tiny dots, the "test points", which apparently are built exactly for such purposes.
Instructions:
You unplug the battery (and the display I think although once it worked with the display plugged so don't take my word for it), temporarily connect the test points with a pair of tweezers or a paperclip ?, while the test points are connected you plug the phone to the PC and it miraculously shows up in device manager under "ports" as "Qualcomm 9008"! (Qualcomm drivers need to be installed. If it shows up as "diagnostics..." anything, you did something wrong).
The device is flashable in that state, you use XiaoMiFlash to flash a stock ROM (it's a folder that contains a folder named "images". The flash tool doesn't have you selecting specific files to flash, you need to select the whole images folder).
Pictures attached.
Left: the screws you gotta unscrew
Right: the test points and what you need to unplug
PS on opening the back: insert a flat narrow tool (best to have a smartphone repair kit) where the back plate connects with the front part of the phone (NOT where the glass meets the rest of the device). At first it won't go in but be persistent and patient, eventually it it. Wobble it back and forth and go slowly around the whole device the same way, paying attention not to wound the parts under the side buttons. Once you do that, it'll be possible to remove the back with your hands. Don't yank it because you need to carefully unplug the tape connecting the fingerprint sensor to the motherboard first
Or just wait a couple of days when you ask for a unlocked bootloader
Whatever floats your boat

Hi, I don't think you actually read the post. The device I got was completely locked, not just the bootloader. There was no way to remove the Mi account. Since the device does not normally have a download mode, there was no way to flash the stock firmware in order to factory reset it. The only way that I know of now, is what I did and described above

Locked bootloader and phone bricked
Hi,
I have a locked redmi 4x device which cannot boot to system. I can only boot to fastboot or to stock recovery. Since the bootloader is locked, I cannot flash TWRP or any rom. I have tried to apply for unlock permissions from xiaomi at http://en.miui.com/unlock/
but the link is greyed out for me. (screenshot attached)
Please let me know if there is a way to unlock my bootloader without the test points method. Thanks.
Your doing correct
Go ahead
Try using the Test Point, i use that to flash my new Redmi 4X from chinese version to global version.
Did it work?

Hi, as far as I know, there is no other way. The test points are there exactly for cases like yours and mine, where you need to restore a device to factory defaults. There's no reason not to try it. If you are careful, you won't damage the phone and it won't even show that you opened it.

Sorry for pulling an old thread but I was wondering if this solution would work in Redmi Note 3SD as I am facing the same problem i.e. locked bootloader and no option to enter developer options for turning on debugging options
I have the same issue

I found a solution wherin I require to use a Deep Flash Cable so as to flash a stock ROM. I just ordered one and am planning to try that. Do you think that method would work as well? .... After reading your post I tried opeing up the phone... but one of the screws is so messep up it just isn't unscrewing!
So my question, is the Deep Flash Cable method legit ?

Alrternate method found:
#1 To enter EDL mode (also known as Download mode) :
Make a 'Deep Flash Cable' by short-circuiting the 'Green' and the 'Black' wire inside the USB cable. I would better recommend you to buy a quality thick USB cable from a local store and tell the guy to cut open the cable and solder the green and the black wire to a small switch.
Now, power off your device and yes, make sure it's powered off. (In case the device is not getting powered off, see the images below for disconnecting and reconnecting the battery connector.)
If Windows 10 or 8/8.1, press 'Shift' key while restarting your computer. Now, go to Advanced settings - Startup Settings - Reboot, and if on Windows 7, reboot your PC and press F8 key before the Windows startup icon appears.
Now, select 'Disable Driver Signature Enforcement' from the list.
Connect the cable to your phone and pressing the switch, connect the cable to your PC. Your phone should not show as charging. Being sure that it's not charging, release the switch. You should now see your device recognized as 'Qualcomm QLoader 9008' under Device Manager. Voila ! You are on EDL mode.
Link for making your own Deep Flash cable : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmdrj4uX7gY
#2 To flash official MIUI ROM :
Download the fastboot ROM for your device, and download the latest Mi Flash tool from http://api.bbs.miui.com/url/MiFlash
I would recommend downloading the fastboot ROM with a separate download manager. Internet Download Manger - Recommended (https://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/download.html)
Also install 7Zip and WinRAR from https://ninite.com/
Now, first extract the fastboot ROM file with WinRAR and then re-extract it from the extract folder with 7Zip, and shorten the file names.
Having installed Mi Flash tool along with all its drivers ( I mean the popups asking for installing driver while installing Mi Flash), run it and select 'Clean all' from the bottom-right side.
Click 'Refresh' and it should show as 'COM10' or something similar. Now, click 'Flash'. And yes, that's it.
After successful flash, disconnect it from the cable and boot it up by pressing the Power key until it vibrates and turns on.
Yeah, you DID IT
*Why a download manager ? I had downloaded the file with Chrome and Firefox (without even pausing it), but even after successful flash, the phone does not boots into MIUI. It gets stuck on the MI logo. However, on using a download manager, the boot successfully completes without any hassle. I have used several download manager, but only IDM downloads the file with .tar extension which always and YES, ALWAYS results in successful flash. You can try out a different method but I would recommend you to play safe as my method is FOOLPROOF.
I have try this method before, but unfortunately it doesnt work. When i connecting those 2 pins, there are nothing changed in my device manager. No new hardware founds at all. I Have install these drivers too, no luck

Downgrading android 9 pie to 8 oreo

Recently updated my Honor 9 lite device to 9.1, it won't let be do anything. I can't rotate my screen, apps keep running in background, battery is terrible and can not install apps from play store(tried to reinstall the google play services by uninstalling it updates and everything). 9.1 on the device is terrible.
How do i degrade my android version. Reply ASAP
Firstly do not demand some one reply ASAP it's very rude to do so.
Secondly back up your important data as roll backing your firmware will trigger the device to erase itself (Very important)
Thirdly once you have done the first 2 steps connect your mobile to your computer and use the latest version of HiSuite and use the recover system option this should give you the option to roll back your firmware.

I can't confirm this. I am trying to downgrade my Honor 9 Lite (LLD-L31C432) to Android 8 right now for the "dload folder method" and I not being able to. When I put the UPDATE.APP inside dload folder on root partition of SD Card, I got an error and is not possible to downgrade.
Also try HiSuite but this phone is not compatible. Any advice?
I am very disappointed with Huawei. First it removes the possibility of unlocking the bootloader by official route and then removes the option to downgrade. Probably my first and last Huawei's phone.
If you take this route i am not responsible for any bricks!
Right, for starters C432 Devices are known not to work with DLOAD with Firmware Finder files.
You say HiSuite is not working for you. This might be because Android 9 requires HiSuite 9.
So simply head here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78850439&postcount=1317
Follow instructions and it will work.
Also make sure you downgrade with
https://pro-teammt.ru/en/online-firmware-database/?firmware_model=LLD-L31C432&firmware_page=0
Leland-L31AC432改B144 (8.0.0.144) LLD-L31C432B144 (8.0.0.144) which is the first one in the link above as that will roll you back to Android 8.0.

thank you. I am downloading the firmware and will make you know if that works. Just one question: what I exactly have to do in step 4? I have to search my device model as in the screenshot, select the firmware, register it on "DNS Update" then go to step 5? Sorry about the newbie question. I have no experience with FF and HiSuite.
Step 4 is to open the link that i already made for you to go directly to the right firmware page, then right clicking the firmware i told you which would of gave you
Code:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G2052/g1647/v266695/f1/full/changelog.xml
Then in FF Tool select DNS Update, paste the link you just got or the one above that again i have just sorted for you.
Click Register then whilst FF is still open use HiSuite.
Then when the phone shows in HiSuite click Update, you should then have the option to downgrade from there.
Now please can i get one with Waking up, taking my meds so i can go to get my bloods done.

yep... I got this. But when I flash the firmware via HiSuite, the phone just bricked and now I have a totally black screen. It doesn't turn off or on. Any advice? I already download a Pie firmware, but the phone isn't beeing detected by ADB.
Press and hold power button for 10 seconds.
Then plug the cable into the charger and press Volume up and power on the phone and place the other part of the charge cable into the phone.
This has to be done with the charger not a computer.
If that works then it should show a menu to download the latest recover and use that to get your phone back online.

When you connect it to a PC does it show in device manager?
Also press pressing the power button for 10 seconds then puttin the cable to the phone whilst it's not plugged into anything then pressing volume down and place the cable into the pc. See if fastboot shows up. If fastboot shows up you could try recovery option in HiSuite.

edit: for no one could help me read it nobody answered me.
Try the other group, which is dedicated for H9L. The only other way I can think of is to try and flash stock erecovery on the phone and see if you can recover that way.
Sent from my SNE-LX1 using Tapatalk
which one?
how to flash stock erecovery? All fastboot commands gives me FAILED (remote: Command not allowed) error. I tried on both Windows and Linux. adb devices doesn't see the devices, but fastboot devices see.
I would not like to spend money with this, but DC-Unlock software can help me? If yes, I will consider to pay for it.
Best bet is to ask on the group I PM's you.

I think I killed my phone

I am in a terrible dead end as I cannot recover my phone. I accidantelly put the wrong firmware to my p40 pro and now it restarts after a couple off minutes not giving me the time to install Hisuite and try another firmware. I also tried the eRecovery but I got the "Get package info failed" message. Also I tried through USB to update the phone but it gets stuck at 5%. I hope someone can help me. Thanks
Sorry to hear but the only way to get it working again is going do Huawei service center for motherboard replacement.

There are paying tools I have access to, like DC's ones, which can allow you to force flash back the right packages from 'USB update mode'.
- I could fix you up remotly for a donation, PM me.
It seems to me you 'just' installed the wrong LGRPx base package for your device variant.
Happen to my device once and huawei service center replace the main board under warranty.
Try hard reset

Any idea what were the tools involved ?
A huawei cant be dead just installing wrong firmware.
There is no need to replace motherboard.
Can be recovered using paid tools
So far, it seems to me paying tools are failing on LGRP6 builds and on P40Pro+ devices without using physical testpoint mode.
When software testpoint mode just works fine on LGRP4 builds and P40Pro device.
Mrt dongle work fine

For anyone with a bricked phone, oslo83 helped me fix my bricked p40 pro, over remote connection. I downgraded to the wrong firmware, and it would restart after one min in android. Phone is perfect now, and Google services works great. Cheers.
