Bootloader unlock problem
We may have to contact Motorola support

I just purchased a Moto X Developer Edition (Verizon) directly from Motorola, and I'm attempting to unlock the bootloader, but at this point I can't even get an unlock code. I followed the instructions and used fastbook to get the unlock data from the phone. I copied and pasted (several times) to the Moto website, but when I click the "Can my device be unlocked?" button, I get a dialog box that says "your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking". It's the Dev Edition, so this should not be the case.
The box that the phone came in says XT1060DEV and the phone has Developer Edition stamped on the back. When I look at the About information on the phone, should I seen any indication in there that it's a DE version? The Model Number field just says Moto X.
Has anybody else had this problem?
Thanks.
Wrong device threads. This is for the new moto x, there is no Verizon Dev edition.

I think you want to post this in the original Moto X section (not the 2014).
However, I used to visit that section and can offer one thought: I have seen reports of this before, and it came from Motorola's website not being updated with your device's IMEI. Give it a few days and it should work.
While you wait, just make sure you're typing the IMEI correctly (use 0 not O for example).
If it still won't work after a few days, then call Motorola.

Are you pasting in JUST the code in one lone line like it says and removing the bits of code it tells you to remove?
I ve been trying since yesterday to get the bootloader of my Moto G 2nd gen( Indian XT1068) unlocked, when i enter the digits from the oem-unlock-data command the system accepts it and tells me the code has been sent but i haven't received anything on my e-mail yet . Anybody knows how to fix this ??
Update: So i chatted motorola india support and they told me to visit one of their service centers to get the device looked at and i have no idea why they want to see the device for a fault with their automated system.
Finally i chatted with a moto representative through their global portal and the representative after checking my mail address just handed me the unlock code.
So i did n't exactly solve the issue of motorola not sending the unlock code via e mail but managed to get my bootloader unlocked..Cheers..
i have the uk xt1072 4g is it possible to unlock bootloader as when i try it says device not qualified for bl unlock, and when i spoke to motorola they looked at the unlock data and said the moto g 2nd gen 4g is not supported yet for bootloader unlock?
any help is appreciated as phone feels useless with locked bootloader i just want to achieve root access
My device cid is 0x007 which i should be able to unlock
Here are a lot of XT1072 users with a rooted phone. As this is only possible with an unlocked bl the statement of motorola canĀ“t be true.
If your cid says "able to unlock" it should be able to unlock. Is it a retail phone? Have you deleted all the seperators in the key before pasting it to the motorola page?
Maybe look for a XT1072 user here on XDA and ask if he has any problems.
Yh should be straight forward so annoying pretty sure im entering key correctly not sure what issue is

It is unlockable, try to copy every line manually and make sure u don't have spaces somewhere.
I have a similar issue with the xt1072 (0x007). Motorola says it is unlockable and I got some unlock key but if I want to unlock the phone with fastboot oem unlock KEY it is not possible to unlock. There is a message: unlock not possible enable oem unlock in the developer menu. But there is no option in my developer menu for enabling oem unlock.
Is it possible to get the developer menu option back or to enable oem unlock on a other way?

I resolved my issue with first doing a factory reset, see www_androidpit_com / how-to-factory-reset-the-moto-g-2014 and after that I have this options and unlocking the bootloader works like a charme.
So i bought an at&t XT1097 from ebay and it came with sim locked, i tried to unlock it with no succes via at&t because they told me the imei was not in their database.
After looking at the imei displayed on the box i found out it wasnt the same displaying at the phone (i checked this imei and this was the original imei). So now what should i do? I have my moto x rooted and bootloader unlocked still i dont know if i should just return the phone since i live in Chile and bought on the USA, or try to upload the correct imei.
well as far as i know if it was att variant, then bootloader should not be unlocked, as att isnt allowing it, your device seems too be from a diffrent carrier, i guess xt1097 is not only own by att, retail ca, retail brazil and many others carriers also use xt1097. search by the imei might be you find something help full, and also check sim tray, it contains the original imei also.. you can also check imei from bootloader, just boot into bootloader and press volume down and select barcodes from the menu by pressing volume up. last thing you can do is RMA
It IS an at&t variant, i just unlocked the bootloader via sunshine. The sim tray doesnt contain the imei either and in the bootloader barcodes it shows the IMEI that im unable to unlock.
What is RMA?

The barcode imei is what the real imei is.. Box imei might be different, so if you have unlockbootloader and imei is not on database have you tried 3rd party unlock providers? I got mine in 3$ from unlockbase.. Give it a try.
Ive tried to unlock it via 3rd party, where most of them refunded me claiming that they couldnt get the unlock code. Its all so weird since now at&t says i cant ask for the unlock code since its attached to an account (previously they said it wasnt from at&t), and now i asked for the owner to try and get me the code.
I really hope i can get the code, im using a really bad phone right now.
Thanks for the help!
Seems suspicious. Is it possible the phone is stolen and has had the IMEI changed?
help! when trying to unlock the boot loader I always get the same error "your device does not qualify for the unlocking solution of the boot loader" the phone in question is a motorola X 2 2014 xt1097. Already verify the code, all the space, use the option that gives motorola, change the browser. Any solution? Will it be a problem on the page?
