An account on each carrier, a physical sim for Verizon and activate the eSim on Fi. Then go into network settings and pick and chose what you want.

What is the eSIM?
The eSIM/Embedded SIM, or as it's more formally known, embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC), is smaller again at 6 mm in length and 5 mm in width and is soldered onto a device's motherboard at the point of manufacturing while having the same functionality as a removable SIM. It has M2M (Machine to Machine) and Remote Provisioning capabilities.

[Q] Tmobile Nexus 6 on Verizon network

Hi!
Any idea if the unlocked version of Tmobile Nexus 6 will work on Verizon network?
Im asking because there is only one Nexus for all carries in U.S.A
I would do so because Tmobile version for sure wont locked bootloader, unlock it and use it on Verizon.
If nexus legend holds true it should come with an unlockable boot loader like all the other nexus. N7 was compatible with Verizon and it was the same device across the other carriers. If the carrier locks the phone I'd be very surprised.

There are only 2 NExus 6 models. The US model and then the one for the rest of the world. So we can infer that there will be no carrier branding and it will work on all networks (Sprint, AT&T, Verizon & T-Mobile). So Google really nailed it with one model covering all of the LTE bands on every carrier.

If that's indeed the truth and Verizon doesn't lock it down I'd probably get one myself. I love the G3 but the N6 seems like it could be the way to go...

Thats what google said which is why its implied that all carriers will get the same phone. Google has more control over what carriers can do so it should be a good change.

(Q) Buying a Nexus 6 at T-mobile to use at Verizon

Since the Nexus 6 US version is the same across all carriers, couldn't someone from Verizon buy a phone at T-mobile off contract and use it on verizon with a pre-existing Verizon sim?

Why not? All signs point to T-Mobile selling the Nexus 6 without any kind of SIM lock, so you should be able to pop in a Verizon SIM in the Nexus 6 you get from T-Mobile and it will probably work.
Probly not. But wait and see.

People are saying that the T-mobile version IMEI's won't be on VZW's whitelist, but unlocked versions are.
However, no one really knows, it's an assumption based on past knowledge.

We had this debate in another thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/cdma-carriers-buying-nexus-6-consider-t2922642
The consensus seems to be that Verizon only uses IMEI whitelists for device activation, and maybe for non-LTE devices. For LTE devices, it seems all the information that is needed to authenticate to both the CDMA and the LTE network are stored on the SIM card. So if you already have an activated SIM from Verizon, it should work on any SIM-unlocked Nexus 6.

ExCtly. People are getting confused because of the pamphlets that have to logos but they are google play review units. They were probably google units going to Tmobile that had those pamphlets and were used as review units. That DOESNT mean they came from Tmobile which is a different thing. Plus you also have to consider that the persons Verizon Sim car is already provisioned. The real test is activating new new service with a new sim card.

Yes, you guys have some valid points. I already have an activated sim and all I would need to do is pop mine in to a T-mobile phone to see if it works.
But speaking to the last post, it would be interesting to see if a new verizon sim would work with a t-mobile bought phone.
There are only 2 versions. ..... international and north American. .....not a t mobile sprint vzw etc they are the same
If that's the case, then everyone should flock T-mobile stores on Nov. 12th if they are buying off contract.

Well first. Good luck trying to get a Tmobile store to sell you the phone without having an account. I've heard that some might for a higher msrp price. Even then if Verizon doesn't have the imei in their database you can't get it activated there. Some have said if you pop in an existing nano Sim with existing service it will work but trying to activate new service with it on Verizon may be tricky, specially since Verizon hasn't said squat about release dates or if they will even have the device in stock.

This exactly.
Fact is if you want to use a Nexus 6 on VZW your best bet is to buy from Play Store, Amazon, Motorola Direct, Verizon upon release, etc but NOT from other carriers.
Also T-Mobile has confirmed that they will turn away anyone hoping to buy off contract at any of their stores on launch day. They want to give current customers and new service customers the first go at the device sale before expanding sales to a whole after the hype dies down on their customer end.
I was lucky enough to get an order in today on Motorola's site, but after watching the latest Droid-Life show I was left with a concern. Apparently we won't be able to use simultaneous voice and data. So say for example I'm on a call and want to look something up, unless I'm connected to a WiFi network I won't be able to do that. This is the case with the 2014 Moto X and the just released Droid Turbo. Those phones though are (according to Verizon) going to get an update before the years end to allow for VoLTE, which will fix this problem. The problem I see is that since this isn't a "Verizon" phone per say, how are we going to get that update? Are we going to be stuck not being able to use simultaneous voice and data? For once I thought we finally had a great Nexus phone on Verizon and now this news reminds me of why we haven't had a Nexus phone after the Galaxy Nexus.
I have been mainly using it with T-Mobile but have popped in a Verizon sim and got LTE service. Made a couple of calls, used the internet.

Verizon Nexus 6 will it work on Sprint

Hi guy I hope for quick answer.
Will I Verizon Nexus 6 will it work on Sprint??
Very thanks.
Sent from my Studio XL 2 using xda premium
It has the frequencies, but Sprint is very reluctant to activate phones not bought from them. Unless you have no other option, avoid Sprint and go with any of the other three carriers.
Thanks what I thought.
Sent from my Studio XL 2 using xda premium
Yes, i am using it on sprint.
However mine was an unlocked phone (at&t) and not from Verizon. As far as it is unlocked, it should work.
Also, i believe sprint website has a phone check which can test whether a phone will work on their network. They need imei number fof this..
Correct me if im wrong but from what I can tell, looking through my sprint Nexus 6, it has not only all the sprint associated files, apps, and services running in the background, but also the verizon wireless files, apps, and services running 24/7 even though it is a pre-ordered, 2 year contract, nexus 6 acquired from sprint, com at release 3+ years ago lol. From what Ive gathered, no matter which version you have they are the same, say If I wipe my sprint 6 with a sprint sim in it, on first boot it will recognize sprints sim and boot accordingly from that point on even after removing the sim. If after wiping it however with no sim card installed it would boot into carrier unlocked config until a sim card is put in, then it would config itself based on what sim card was installed. The hardware from what I understand is 100% identical across all models, motorola uses 1 antenna with all bands, it just configs differently soon as it detects a sim card.
Technically will work, as long as sprint will do it for you. Your gonna have to go around to stores and on the phone and bs until someone just does it.
Here the big issue I'm from Ohio and here locally they will not activate non Sprint phones.
Sent from my Studio XL 2 using xda premium
I have no idea, just a question. I wonder if the google factory image is installed rather than the Verizon released OS if that would make it easier to put on Sprint.
Isn't that the deal with Verizon; they have their own locked down OS?

You're not completely wrong. However, the AT&T Nexus 6 is carrier locked, unlike the other devices. It can be unlocked however. As for the bands, the SoC has certain bands configured for the region of the world the device is to be used in. This configuration is done independently at a low level and cannot be altered without special software.
EDIT: The SIM card inserted into the device determines which bands are used among those configured at the factory.

If you have an activated Sprint Nano SIM, you could just try it in the N6 and see if it works. I have an AT&T N6 that I use on Verizon by following that process

Dual SIM?

I've read that it will have a traditional SIM slot as well as the eSIM slot. Previous versions didn't allow them to be used simultaneously. Sounds like the 4 will allow that? I currently use a Note 9 international version with Dual-SIM in the US with T-Mobile & AT&T. Wondering if I purchase through T-Mobile (or direct from Google) - can I use them with the eSIM and AT&T with the nano SIM?
Thoughts? Guides? Links to more info? Much appreciated!
The word was it would be DSDS rather than DSSS. I've seen no confirmation of that yet although the commits are there and a Google engineer openly commented about ongoing testing. I'm hopeful but also looking for some confirmation.

Not 100% sure what you're asking but if you tell it to "ask every time" you dial then a screen will pop up asking you which sim you want to use when you dial a number. You can change that so that one is the default all the time but then to change the dialer sim you will need to go back into settings.
Yeah, that's the Pixel 3a method, I have one so I'm familiar with the options. Samsung has a similar base setup but if you don't set a default it puts 2 dial buttons in the dialer, one for each line. Doing that you can simply dial off of whichever line you want on the fly instead of having to select from the toast. It's a cleaner setup that saves a step. I've been hoping it made it in because it was an acknowledged feature request. Maybe next time...

Oh got ya. That sounds cool. I'd like to see something like that. Definitely would save a bunch of dialing steps. The toast is problematic at times.
Has anyone gotten T-Mobile to work on eSIM with another carrier on a physical SIM? According to a XDA thread on Pixel 3a XL, they did this.
I have T-Mobile working on the physical sim and Fi working on the e-sim, but it's not simultaneously.
In Italy next week i will ne able to try a eSim... I will update you
Can confirm I could not transfer my eSIM to T-Mobile by giving EID. The tech support claimed it needs to be a T-Mobile bought phone. I bought an unlocked Pixel 4 xl. I wonder if the boot or system img tailored to the T-Mobile versions could get the eSIM to work.
TMobile does not support esim yet, according to TMobile. I tried to get a Tmobile purchased 4xl to use the esim.
So, if I'm GoogleFi I can have my GoogleFi account running from the eSim and also get an additional SIM from GoogleFi and have both slots active with Google Sims? Is that correct?

Don't you need two radios to have two lines active at the same time? You mean switching between phone calls or merging two different phone lines on one call? I do think MEP is functioning on the P7 but only DSDS. Also I'm not sure if you can have dual eSims and a physical sim or only 2 working at once. Curious to see the specs on this too.

I mean DSDS with two eSIM at the same time. Right now only combo possible is eSIM + physical with older pixels. There are rumors of MEP implementation but explicit dual eSIM support (DSDS) is not mentioned anywhere officially.

It looks like dual eSim is supported. They are implementing it rather quietly but it should be there according to all accounts I've read.
Dual SIM (Single Nano SIM and eSIM) on the official google spec page
Looking for dual eSim not necessarily dual anything else.
When I tried to activate the second eSIM on my new Pixel 7 it told me I should turn off the other active eSIM, it did not suggest that turning off the physical SIM is an option.

Thanks, and I wonder why they are delaying this. I think the iPhone latest has it already. I'm hoping the 7a will have it at the get go. That's what I'll be getting if it comes in at 6.1 again.
It works fine on my phone, AT&T and Tmobile (esim)
I have 1 eSIM and 1 regular SIM running. It does give me an option to add an eSIM, bt I don't want to try it because setting up the first one was a nightmare and I don't want to lose it.
