Hello,
since I startet using several GPS-Tools, I discovered that it can be pretty engergy consuming because the backligh does not switch off if the device is locked, it just dimmes down.
Is there any way, maybe a registry-hack (but please no background running 3rd party app), to make the device switch it off entirely?

Use psShutXP it has a turn off screen option.

Great this has helped to stop my MLB 9 Innings game from being stopped when i lock the phone for less than a minute. My question is: Is there anyway to make this in a "per app" basis, meaning that we can choose for which apps the flag can be disabled and not for all apps?

Yes that is the purpose of this xposed module. It should probably not do anything else.

You can also click the lock icon in the recents menu, it will prevent that app from being killed.

Totally true. Working on mine using zadmix v. 3
Note, I am using beast kernel and have disabled adaptive low memory killer with ex kernel manager as well.

That is flar's kernel manager.
Under the memory section there is an option for adaptive low memory killer. click it till it says disabled and then hit the power looking button to the right so it becomes blue. that causes the setting to persist through reboots.
So I installed the apk. Do I have to do anything else besides rebooting after installing and activating app?

Hello everyone,
I'm having a stupid issue with my Bixy Vision and S pen..
Normally, it tries to analyze the screen when you click Bixby Vision and then hover the s pen around the screen..
Mine just stopped doing it.. Bixby Vision just works in camera app. I did not root my device. I did a factory reset, then it's been fixed.. After couple of hours, maybe because I've deleted something or installed something, it stopped working again.. I see the options bar at the top, and the Vision Eye where I do hover the S pen, but nothing happens..
What can be the reason?
Anybody can help?

Bixby vision with the S Pen is not working for me either, I wonder if it has something to do with using Nova Launcher instead of the Touchwiz, are you using a different launcher?
Yeah I'm using Nova too, but it used to work on Nova.. After a while it stopped working, I don't know why..
Working here ok. Just tested Using Nova too.

Maybe try clearing the Cache/Data of Bixby Vision. I too use Nova and it is working.

What Samsung bloatware are installed in your device?
Could you please list them?
I'm not sure but I guess that happened after I did uninstall a Samsung app.. Maybe Galaxy Essentials, or something similar.. I'm not sure

In the apps settings... You can filter by disabled apps. But if you still would like screenshots... I'll post them... or rather, i cam do the Scroll Capture! Hehehe

Maybe a restart if you haven't. Also you said that a factory reset worked? Just don't disable Samsung apps if you decide to do it again. :good:

It used to work for me, try disabling hdr on normal camera

Yeah I'm sure.btw i too sometimes get a black screenbut I edit a while then go back to the app it starts working properly.

When I get black screen I cannot select anything neither the settings
Alright i made it work as well, if you having the black screen press the home button, open another app (eg WhatsApp) and then go back to the gcam

I tried everything, but it just crashes. I even tried deleting the app's data.
This helped for me. Try to hold on the app and run one of the function: "Make selfie" or "Record the video" after that camera will work, but sometimes when i launch camera on the common mode, i have a black screen again.
How good is it? Care to share some side-by-side photos? (stock -> google camera)?
Does it enable cameraapi2?

In the other thread there are several comparison pics. I doubt you can get it working without canera2 api which needs root to enable. Without HDR+, whats the point of having gcam?

camera 2 api doesnt need root. just needs an unlocked bootloader. I would be better if we spam tweets to mi to unlock camera 2 api with next update as nokia 6.1 plus has it enabled out of the box.

The screen rotation in my gallery app doesn't seem to be working, it works in other apps but not the gallery. Anyone else having this issue?
Gallery app does the same thing on my S22 ultra on Android 13 UI 5.1. If I start with the Samsung My Files app and view an image using Gallery app it will rotate.
I setup a task in tasker which auto rotate when YouTube/Galery is launched and turn itself off once I leave the apps. Maybe it will help you..

I have the same problem on the S23U. I noticed that when autorotation doesn't work, I go into the gallery settings, go back to the pictures again then rotation works. If, on the other hand, I exit to the home screen and enter the gallery again it does not work again.
Hmm ya going to the settings fixes it but only temporarily, strange.

I don't always use the gallery in landscape mode so this wouldn't work for me.

I'll ask a few more things so we can have some comparison. Have you installed Camera Assistant? Did you activate the Labs option in Gallery? I'm asking to try to find the cause. I have done the things I am asking about and maybe one of them is causing this.

Nope no camera assistant, and I don't see labs in Gallery settings.
