File not available

Thats because its almost 2months old. I think Mega removes them after a certain time..not sure how long but I have ran into same issue.

Hmm...when I go to the About phone, it shows "United Arab Emirates", so so far so good...but when I go to Software Information, it shows Android Version 10, One UI version 2.0, and baseband version n770fxxu2atb6.
I just got the phone yesterday and short of putting in my Google account (through wifi) I did zero updates. I'm guessing the baseband you're listing is if I let the phone do software updates, and that I will be left with the most current baseband which is the one you're listing n770fxxu2btd4?

If you notice this is from May. Most versions have updated to U3 or S3. My 10lite is on U3 bootloader. The firmware is interchangeable. My version is Hongkong(TGY). I have flashed Arab Emirates firmware..Spain..and I am currently using Vietnam. I patched the U3 boot image without issue and all works fine here in good ol illinois using At&t
Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Actually some versions are on S4 firmware now. I did not try it yet since its a security update so I'm not sure if boot image can be patched on that firmware.

You can go to Sammobile and download the version you posted

Cannot update Polish Note in the US?

I imported a GN when it first came out. I am in the US. I use it as a mini tab no SIM.
If I try to update the firmware over wifi it says "no sim" or something. No upgrade.
So I try in Kies and it says something like Kies doesn't support firmware updates for this device or something similar.
So how can i update this? I don't know why they won't let me do it but it is irritating to say the least.
I am not good with odin and rooting and flashing leaks or custom ROMS, I just want a stock normal update? Anyway to do this?
check your csc if there is a update for your gnote.
dial *#06# for emei, write down
then dial *#272*emeinumberhere* and check which csc is selected. Can you post that here?
dont post your emei here btw, just csc code

A US service center will update a device I am not supposed to have(import)? Something tells me no. They will just tell me to get the authorized device (crap slow ATT version) for my region.
So I guess there is no way to do it at all? I guess that is what we get for importing, they refuse to let you make any updates. Damn Samsung!

As above poster said, check your csc. Then you can download a corresponding or different csc, such as American and install any official rom such as ics via pc odin.

sorry made error code should be *#272*imei# my bad. Be careful changing it on ics kernel due to brickbug as it triggers factory reset/wipe.

Entering that code on your dialler will show you a list of csc codes installed on your device. If you change from the one currently applied it will perform a full wipe of device, on ics that's dangerous. So if you want to change csc, need to flash gb rom first then change csc before upgrading back to ics.

OK if I do this it gives me a "sales code KOR" then install or cancel. The build number is gingerbread.xxkj4
I am on GB, should I change this? I really don't have much set up on this yet to worry about wipe, as long as it doesn't brick.
So that's a Korean csc I believe, it's worth checking your settings in about phone, post what firmware version your on and model of device.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Every rom has a default csc it defaults to if the previous selected csc is not in that rom. You can change it. But beware, be sure you are on safe kernel cause changing csc triggers a wipe, so you will lose data when doing that.
Also if not done already do efs backup, see dr ketans thread on that.

Restoring to send back

Hi there
I've got my Galaxy Note and unfortunately it has developed a hardware fault and needs to go for repair. I want to reset it back to factory conditions, with the original TouchWIZ UI from Cyanogen Mod 9.
Can someone please guide me in the right direction? I'd assume I just need to locate a stock ROM, load that in and install it onto the phone and all will be back to normal, but I can't find a stock ROM online for Galaxy Note N7000.
Help would be appreciated!

Where can I get this firmware from?
Also, just in addition, the hardware problem is with the micro USB port so I'm hoping I can put the ROM into Dropbox and download it to the SD card of my phone (giving the same end results as transferring via USB).
You can get stock firmwares from sammobile.com pick one for your region. I would also flash from odin pereonnally t9 remove all traces of root etc regardless of fault.

If you have micro usb problem and you are not able to connect to PC then how you can flash with Odin?
Do this
Find first link on my note 1 signature
Go to post #2
Download GB ROM. You can directly download on device and extract it to sd card.
Install mobile odin (lite will also work because you don't need root after flashing rom)
Flash new rom using mobile odin.
And wipe cache and data after flashing (this step is dangerous on ics so I have asked you to flash gb rom)

You are unable to download from hotfile?
On play store mob odin pro Page you will find discussion link of xda, you will find lite version there

Just after flashing rom successfully, just reboot to recovery and wipe cache and data. You will get completely stock rom.
I am not visiting q/a section much frequently now, as I have moved to note2
PM me if any issue, but can reply in morning only coz here 2am so may not be available after few minutes.
Good luck

I've just PMed Dr Ketan about this, but just in case anyone else knows:
I've followed the instructions and the phone rebooted to the Samsung intro graphic, then went to the glowing Samsung logo.... The phone now keeps replaying the intro motion graphic, then back to Samsung logo, then back to intro graphic, then Samsung logo. I left it a good 10 minutes and thought something isn't right, so I've taken the battery out and put it back in. Then I saw the Galaxy Note logo, then the intro graphic, then the Samsung logo, and the whole process as before is repeating and repeating. I'm really not sure what to do here.... Any ideas?
Matt
Just in response to my previous message..... I misread the instructions and all is now working fine.
Hmm, you must forget to wipe cache and data. After this it should fine.

[Q] How to update Galaxy Note without USB

Hello everyone,
I live in the United States and have an unlocked German DBT Galaxy Note. Recently the USB port stopped working. I am unable to charge the phone, or access it from my computer.
Samsung USA referred me to International Support. I'm not sure I want to send it out for repair.
Now the JellyBean 4.1.2 update is out for my phone.
Is there any way to update it without using USB?
I'm not sure if it's because I live in the United States, but I've never been able to update OTA.
Could I just download the file directly to my phone, using the browser, and run the update?
Thanks for any help, and I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong place.

[Q] Is there a manual way to update the S3 to 4.3? (AT&T phone)

Hey guys,
I just bought an unlocked S3 that was on the AT&T network. It is running 4.1.1. I tried looking for updates but it says I'm currently on the latest available firmware (which isn't true obviously). So my question is, can I somehow update it manually? By downloading the firmware file and flashing it myself perhaps? Did a couple of searches but couldn't find anything related to this specifically.
Would really appreciate the help.
Thanks!
If I were you, I won't go to 4.3 because of knok bootloader.. Just stay on 4.1JB of go for custom 4.4.2kitkat .
But if u don't plan to root your phone then go on. Because Knok will record/count when you break the warranty policy by rooting.and that can't be reset and undo.
Search for S3 LTE android 4.3 manual upgrade on google.

Thanks, this is helpful. I'll check sammobile.
Also I saw another couple of steps that looked like it would be possible to do straight from the recovery menu instead of through a 3rd party software like mobileodin. Would these steps work?
1) Download the Stock OTA Update 4.3 I747UCUEMJB from here:
2) Copy it to your external SD card.
3) Reboot recovery, then navigate down and choose "install update from SD card".
Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power button. Use volume keys to select and Power or Home key to select the option. Then just wait until it completely finishes flashing.

My bad, this is the i747.
Well if you not in the warranty then it's fine..
BTW, stock Rom is on the .tar.md5 format then u can't use the recovery to install it. You need Odin to flash it.
Mobile Odin is expensive. Why don't you just download free PC version of Odin that compatible with your device and flash it.

Oh got it.
Yes I would much rather use the free PC Odin than Mobile Odin.
Basically all I have to do is look for the stock 4.3 rom for the i747, then flash through Odin. Right?
Sam mobile does not have the 4.3 AT&T rom. I guess I'll have to look somewhere else.
Personally i would and have purchased the mobileodin pro. Never needed a pc in my years of using samsung phones. From flashing official firmwares to kernels recoveries and all. Its worth the price. Trust me. Everything can be done without a pc near u. Download firmware on ur phone. Flash it from ur phone. Just think of it as a payment for your electric bills. A small portion of it. and its not only limited to s3 but many models of the samsung phones aswell.

Awesome thanks so much for the link!
Unfortunately I'm on 4.1.1 and not 4.1.2. Will this be a big problem? Do I need to first get to 4.1.2 and then go to 4.3 or can I just directly flash to 4.3?
I would consider mobileodin pro, but I'm doing this for my girlfriends phone that I just bought, and I doubt I will ever need it again. I'm not going to be flashing her phone any more. So free would be useful Especially seeing as how it should have updated OTA on it's own anyway and has not. Which is frustrating. I'm still on 4.1.1 on top of that. Oh well.
Should have no issues as everything will be flashed including bootloader.

upgraded my G901F from
rooted by KingRoot G901FXXU1BOK2 (NEE region), knox 0x0
to
G901FXXU1CPE1 (DBT region) without wipe , knox still 0x0
after upgrade telephone started up in 20 minutes, all this time taken by optimization of programms already installed and some other optimizations by new version of Android
upgrade process taken 13% of battery, phone was really hot
after upgrade process all is fine, root lost, but all programs working perfect and all my data still on its own places, nothing deleted at all (except SuperSU)
now phone look faster, will check battery life soon

What are people's thoughts on the new firmware? Many changes?
I've downloaded it, i'm gonna upload it elsewhere for all of you, samsung-firmware is painfully slow (140ko/s)
I'll try maybe tonight, I just need odin right ?
edit : it's uploaded ! thanks fiber internet

use the small download button, not the big one
it should download without any restrictions... unlike on sammobile/samsung-firmware
I ve got my G901F from T-Mobile (Germany). Sammobile doesn't list a particular provider for this firmware - does that mean it is appliable to any G901F?
If yes, can I flash via ODIN using this procedure:
Instructions
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.10.7
Extract Odin ZIP file
Open Odin v3.10.7
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
Click to collapse
I am only asking as my phone is software branded (T-Mobile). Will this particular 6.0.1 release be bloatware-free (or do I have to wait for another 6.0.X release for that..?)
