air triggers issue - ASUS ROG Phone II Questions & Answers

Hey guys, I've got some weird problem with air triggers for a while now..
The right trigger can be activated somehow without touching it specifically, but even if I tough the back panel of the device.. It's a bit hard to explain, but you can see it well in here:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/PZZar4gMKZdYChqdA
Is it a defect in the device? Cause it didn't happen when u got it
Bought it from giztop back in October.

No one encountered this problem?

I do sometimes have higher than normal sensitivity with my right air trigger, but it has not been as bad as what you show in your video.
My theory would be that something is getting in the way of the contacts in your air trigger. Are you able to get some compressed air and lightly blow into your headphone jack and shake the phone a bit to see if it comes loose and fixes the issue?

I encountered the same problem as you, and later sent it to the original factory to say it was a screen problem, because I bought the Tencent version and it took nearly 170 usd to change the entire screen panel.
Personally think that it is a quality problem, and some users of the standard version have encountered similar situations. The warranty should be sent to the original factory without charge.

Yes. I am also having the same issue. Need to check with service center.
Workaround solution. User dual partition. If you use it for PUBG or Freefire put the left partition to the empty place and the right partition to the appropriate button. Also make left partition touch as 1 times. This fixed the problem of miss triggering the button. Hope it works for you.

[Q] Touch screen dead spots

This may be a problem beyond the scope of android, but seeing as I'm running it, I thought I'd try here first.
I've noticed that the lower left hand side of my screen has a "dead spot" where touch is simply not registered. To illustrate, I went to screen calibration's test screen and drew a straight line along the edge of the screen. (See Attachment)
I've tried recalibrating the screen (manually and resetting to default calibration) as well as wiping data and reinstalling the system. Reinstalling the system worked once, but then the problem came back and subsequent reinstalls did not fix the issue.
I'm running Incubus26jc super froyo [RLS 12] on the 15-07-10 340X480 Froyo Kernel.
Anyone else seen anything like this? As far as I can tell, the problem is not getting any worse. Currently, it's only a hindrance when trying to use keys in that region, but I can work around it by switching to and from landscape. It's a bit of a hassle, so I'm hoping someone may be able to shed some light on the situation.
I was sure it was hardware until the system reinstall fixed it, but am now baffled as I can no longer replicate the fix.
I have not tried reinstalling the kernel but will at some point in the next day or so. I'd like to avoid switching back to WM to check if the problem persists, but may have to... we'll see. Doing everything I can to make this phone last until the Incredible month of February when I'm up for an upgrade.
dont know the issue resolution... but i have the same with my touch vogue.. and in the same 'area' apparently as well.
hard for me to hit the 'a' key on my keyboard. hehe
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one... anyone else?
Bottom right corner for me... I was able to calibrate around it but it took a few tries.

The sensitivity across my screen was inconsistent some time ago. I found that years of my abuse had taken a tole on the exterior of my phone. It eventually got worse and I bought a new housing (with a new digitizer) on ebay for a reasonable price. If it is hardware then it really isn't that hard to fix if you like taking things apart.
If you're sure that win mo accepts input from that part of the screen then nevermind my post. I would play with a painting app though and investigate the hardware further.
I may be talking a little out my a$$ with this part but.. is it possible that in calibrating your screen the os may change it's settings on how hard you have to press and such also. that may be how you got it working.
In any case, my investment in a hew housing was well worth it considering how modern my old phone has become thanks to the developers here.

In my case, no - when drawing a straight line down or across the screen, the line starts 'moving' away from the stylus (like the picture in the OP).
Gah... now it's shutting itself off randomly and the dead spot has grown. Not good at all.
Yeah, mine was better for a while then 'slid' again. I ended up swapping the digitizer with my other Vogue and things are back to normal.
Sent from my Full Android on Vogue using XDA App
I have another vogue, but am weary of doing anything like that. How hard was it to get done?
All you need to do is switch the front half of the housing rather than the digitizer itself- it's not hard. There's a teardown guide somewhere in the forum, Google Vogue teardown and it should be at the top.
Sent from my Full Android on Vogue using XDA App
The only thing that worries me is that my spare vogue exists because it was dropped in a muddy puddle. I'm hoping the water damage isn't too bad. Guess we'll just have to see.
it is really annoying
I have the exact same problem and I too thought it was a hardware issue till I saw this Thread. I was ignoring it till two days ago when it started really bugging me. Now, I don't even need to press any button and it automatically gets pressed around the curve and I have a google search box there, so it keeps on searching for eee or sss randomly and started draining my battery. Is there a proper fix for this?
I thought I'd chime in too... I could never seem to calibrate the touchscreen properly in either Android or Debian. Changing the screen resolution (i.e. msmfb scaling) seems to have no effect, whether it's 240x320 or 640x480. Any area within 5mm or so of the edges of the LCD will register as the edge, making "A" and several other keys on the virtual keyboard impossible to hit. Passing calibration values to the kernel didn't seem to fix anything, but it's possible I was using them the wrong way...
i have the same kind of problem on my Kaiser... i think its realted to hardware... either the housing or the digitizer...
I am experiencing the same problem on X10 mini pro. the same screen spot exactly, i have to try very hard to get z or x or shift to work. Sometimes when I try locking the screen and unlocking it back, it works.
update
so after a very long time with this problem i decided to change the digitizer and problem is gonne. visualy the broken digitizer had nothing wrong with it. The fix was fairly easy though, there is no glued parts involved into getting a new digitizer on the u20i.
Touch Screen
I just bought a brand new Cubot One and it looks more than perfect! It has just a little problem with the touch screen ( I think its the software, need ROM change). There is a dead line on the right side of the screen that touch doesn't work at all. Any solutions? Anyone faced that before? Can I fix it myself or do I have to send it back for replacement? Is there any video or guide that shows its done?
I uploaded a video on YouTube to show the problem but i cant post it yet.. (new member)
You can write "Cubot One touch screen problem" and it's the 1st one.
Thank You!

[Q] Samsung galaxy Note-Right hand corner of the screen is unresponsive.

Hi all.I bought my galaxy note almost 2 months back. This is my first android phone.I have used iPhone 4 before buying this beast.I must say its awesome. However lately i have started experiencing a little problem.I have noticed that at times while typing my note's screen( Right hand corner) became unresponsive. I had to press the screen a lot of times to actually type a single letter( it was the GO button actually.) After struggling with it for 5-6 minutes it started working fine. After a few days i experienced the same problem again.I took my handset to the service center but the screen was working fine then.
I face this problem sometimes . i noticed that after locking the screen and then unlocking it solves the problem for that moment. Is this a software problem or hardware.
I wasn't able to convince the service person that my device has the problem. How can i make him convince and get the handset replaced.
Any help would be Highly appreciated. (The problem area is actually the place on screen where application icon is situated.)
Is the problem there only when you charge it? Because, there are known issues with many smartphones where that is the case. If it is, then I am right there with you, and trying different chargers I heard will alleviate the issue.
No the problem is not when i charge the device.I face this problem very rarely but not when charging.I would like to mention that the charger provided with the device was very slightly bend on the charging end as if it was forcefully inserted in some device.Though it charges the device without any problem.
Sorry, don't know what else to say. Good luck though.
I have had the problem with the bottom right corner becoming unresponsive to screen taps .This usually happens when the phone is not in my hand but is lying on a soft surface such as a pillow. However the minute I pick it up in my hands, the problem goes away. Strange. I had my note replaced under warranty, only to find the problem re occur on the replacement phone after a few days.

I'm having the exact same problem and thinking of taking it back to the service point. However, could it be rom related?
I'm running LA4. GOing back to a backup of KK5 alleviates the problem.
Something else I've noticed is that when left on a surface the application
button rarely responds but as soon as I touch it on the sides it works and when Ialso plug the usb cable it also works flawlessly.
A friend of mine has the same issue, but it only occurs if the device is laying flat on a table which is odd, he plans to have yet another screen replacement but will probably wait a few months due to shoddy quality control.
I had this issue since the 1st day. It became worst during charging. Have tried every old and new rom with no luck. I though it was a screen issue where I even applied much pressure to the affected area hoping it would help but no luck.
But the issue went away after I flashed Abyss kernel 3.9 via cwm. Now the right bottom corner is as sensitive as the left bottom corner. You might wanna try a different kernel 1st before sending to the service center...
If I remember correctly one HTC phone had similar problem, screen was unresponsive when lying on table but as soon as u pick it up it worked fine. It had something to do with screen/digitizer not being grounded properly.

Definitely a hardware problem because when I took it to Samsung service centre, the first thing they did was to flash the phone firmware. Only when the problem persisted, a replacement was given.

shot in the dark here, do you have a case on your note? I was going nuts on the first few days with my note using a flip style case only to find the damn magnet was causing the touch response issues. Took the case off and haven't seen the problem since.
After further testing it seems in my case at least it was definitely a kernel issue with cf-root kernel la4. Replaced it with a different one and problem solved.
Same problem here, put it down and bottom right corner doesn't respond, pick it up, responds instantly like rest of screen. I thought I had some kind of insecure Note that needed to be held or something. Last few days it was really freakin me out to the point I was purposely putting it down and then pressing and pressing and pressing the back button...nothing...pick it up...works with one slight touch, I was like WTF? What the hell could cause that???
Somewhat relieved to see I'm not the only one with a clingy Note. I'm going to wait and hope ICS fixes the issue, if not I'll guess I'll have to learn how to flash.
Right-hand corner of death
Thank goodness I'm not the only one in the world with this problem.
I first observed the problem when i upgraded to LA1. I was loving the improved battery life like a puppy until i noticed the bottom right part of the touch screen was as dead when placed on a flat surface. It started working again after I had picked it up, making me wonder if it had a "Hey I'm being hand held" feature, but it would still trip out when i'd type an SMS or email.
Called the Samsung service center to ask about it. they said they've never heard of such a problem and that I should just bring the phone in for software downgrading since my Note was ok till I upgraded it. For them, it was a firmware problem so replacing it was not on their priority list.
I ended up downgrading myself to KJ3 (using odin) which works fine. Unfortunately, i no longer enjoy the improved battery life or one-handed keyboard config.
No choice now but wait for ICS and hope it works flawlessly.

This is definitely a problem with screen. I got mine replaced an hour ago and did the LCD test. The new one is working perfectly fine (with and without flip case).
Try the LCD test . *#0*#.If the test fails get the hand set replaced.

Outsyder,
What software version are you using?
Tried the screen test and mine works flawlessly on KJ3. Since I'm from southeast Asia, I don't have any other updates available except for LA1 which is buggy on my Note.

[Q] Droid 4 possessed / erratic touchscreen behaviour

Since the last few days I've been getting some strange issues with my touchscreen. Sometimes parts of the screen (or the full screen) do not respond, and even the softbuttons are affected. When I take the phone out of my pocket, it either responds normally (I use pattern lock) or tries to use the emergency dialer or emergency contacts, and sometimes even tries to call a number from the emergency dialer (number 2 and luckily not 112..)
When in the launcher, it sometimes opens an app (like my calendar) and slowly scrolls either sideways or vertically. Turning the screen off and on again once or twice usually solves it for a (short) while.
I've already read some threads about it and ruled out the following causes:
The phone is not connected to any charger when this happens.
It still happens after cleaning the screen (just with a cloth, no liquids)
It still happens after disabling CPU Tuner. I didn't overlock the system, but used some custom power settings and different governors which apparently can also affect this behaviour.
The battery is still original since nowadays I prefer to use external chargers instead of buying a big battery for every new phone
The only things that changed recently are:
I installed the OwnCloud app, but that doesn't seem related.
We moved to another office building, in which the carpet generates more static electricity.
I gained some weight which may put a bit more pressure in my pant pockets than before
It started happening a few days ago, after using the .215 ICS leak for a few weeks without issue. I seem to get the problem less at home than I do at work, which makes me think it's either the static electricity or CPU governor (since battery percentage is lower by the time I get home again, so it might use a different governor). However, I've been using CPU Tuner for quite some time before this issue started, and the issue persists after disabling it.
So I am guessing it's any of the following causes:
Static electricity
Keeping the phone in my pant pockets which may put some pressure on the screen
A problem with the battery or screen somehow (moisture?)
Some other hardware issue
Some software issue
Does anybody have any tips or other ideas about this? Thanks in advance.
Edit: I enabled some development options to show touch pointer location (white dot) and trails. Screenshot added. Phantom touches seem to be focused in the bottom center part of the phone, which is probably around where I grap it when I take it out of my pocket. Trails usually disappear the next time you touch the screen, but in this case the trails kept growing / adding. I made some real swipes (upper half of the screen) and they 'stuck' without the phone responding to them (the application did not scroll) due to the parallel phantom touches in the bottom. In this case the phantom touches blocked my real input, in other cases they cause some behaviour (scrolling etc.). However, sometimes when the screen is not responding, there are no phantom touches visible in this display mode.
Edit 2:The no-touch input problem seems to be 'triggered' most of the time I open the keyboard. Sometimes this is followed by the phantom touches, but usually they start occuring in the portrait mode lock screen.

Thank you, let me try that. Couldn't find the right alcohol pct. so I'd have to use some generic screen cleaning liquid, would that be okay as well?
My screen was having issues too. So I turned the dot thing on from the dev part as well. The dot seems to freeze as I'm opening my keyboard. And the dot stays frozen in place until I close the scree again. Any ideas on how to fix it? Also if the screen is open and I touch a spot nothing happens, but then when I close the screen it will sense correctly where I touched while it was open.
Sounds like the same problem, so I'm getting the feeling it might be due to the connectors rather than the screen digitizer itself. After cleaning it, I didn't have any issues for a while, but they started occurring again now.
The replacement part is not available right now, a bit expensive, and excludes the price for the required tools which I don't have yet. Warranty may be tricky as I didn't get my phone from Verizon directly. So if it turns out to be a connector issue I will say goodbye to the Droid family and just get another non-QWERTY phone.. at least until Motorola starts selling them (as 'Milestone' since 'Droid' is a Verizon brand) in Europe again. The Droid 4 is the best phone I ever had, this is potentially making it unusable for me though. Glad I didn't order a Lapdock yet!
Motorola will repair your phone for 168... out of warranty and all... I found this cheaper and easier then fixing it myself and guaranteed done right in 5-7 days..

Mine is still within the one year warranty. So I want to send it in. But I'm afraid they will check for the root stuff and they will consider voiding my warranty because I was rooted. I unrooted and did a factory reset to see if it would fix the issue. So this is my only chance left. I heard clearing the data wouldn't remove the qe process they use to know that I'm rooted. So I'm not sure if its worth the chance.
Flash SBF restores everything to my knowledge. No way to see what happened before the SBF flash.
I read in the original post for the DROID 4 ICS root tool that a sbf will not remove the part that says you were rooted at one point. I checked that first. An sbf flash is really easy. I was really hoping that it would work.
they dont take the time to check that stuff... if you sbf they wont know a thing...

If they don't check it then why should I even bother? Does an sbf change something a factory reset doesn't? I've already reset it. I'll look into the fix though. It will depend on if I have the tools to do it or not.
SBF/fastboot will revert rom changes.
About that ribbon cable how would that work as the lcd is fused to the cable?

Cant be... it is glued in place and has connectors... how else could he sell you the cable by itself... http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Motorola-Droid-4-Teardown/7759/1
Just to weigh in on the whole root checking thing, SBFing or fastbooting back to stock DOES NOT remove evidence of root. qe still picks it up somehow in stock recovery.
That being said, they cannot void your hardware warranty for software modifications, it's the law (in the U.S.)
Of course, if you somehow softbrick your phone, they have no obligation to help you.
Edit: Just to clarify, I tried this myself just this morning. Full SBF back to stock + a factory reset, and qe shows 0/1, which indicates currently unrooted but previously rooted. No idea how their security works, but it does.

I agree it's probably not anything most people need to worry about... I still plan on sending my D4 in before the warranty is up, I've been having terrible wifi + 4G drops, even on stock (that's why I fastbooted in the first place)
I am a bit nervous though, because I've heard horror stories about Moto replacements. That being said, if Ops phone is under warranty, I'd send it in rather than trying to repair it. If it isn't under warranty, then I'd go for the flex cable, the Moto phones are built well and reasonably easy to work on.

I probably have some kind of warranty with the seller, not with Moto directly as I have no way of obtaining a QWERTY phone from them (they don't sell those in Europe for some reason). But I really can't miss my phone for an extended period of time, so I'd either need to switch to an old one while I'm waiting, or get a new one.
Since I don't have the tools available to open the phone properly and I don't want to spend any more money on this thing, I'll probably sit it out until it breaks. For now, switching the screen on and off one or two times seems to 'solve' it.

[POOL] About the touchscreen problem

I only discovered the touchscreen issue yesterday doing the test of the other thread. So, i would like to every z1 owner to answer this pool to know how bad things are and if we can try to find a solution, since i think Sony won't.
So, please answer the poll and post any useful information. I'll start.
My phone model is C6943, I currently don't use case and I'm using a screen protection. I can do the xperia touchscreen test without touching the phone body without problem and also doesn't have problem with pattern password.

My 6902 is completely screwed. At first I used a screen protector and the problem wasn't too bad. Then I removed it when I took the phone in to get another issue fixed and soon after that the problem got very bad. I was traveling so couldn't go back to the service center. Now it's a bit better, randomly works and randomly doesn't. When I was home in cold weather though it seemed a lot worse than it is now that I'm back in India where it's warm. Not sure if temperature is a factor, or could be conscience. But a few weeks ago it was so bad you couldn't type even a two letter word using Swype.
Also, I now have a part of my screen in the form of a horizontal line where touch doesn't work at all. No single touch and no drag. Completely dead. Taking it to the service center soon.
You should vote on the first option, then
Guys, check my post "News from whats is causing touch screen problem" to see if is your case!

It's not.
I got problem unlocking with patterns, scrolling pages and when I play some games after few minutes it stop working so I voted the first option. My phone is back to Sony, I hope they know what to do and at last it's Made in China.
Please, post if you use case and screen protections too. This could help understanding the problem.
Additional data : Z1 is being handled in a leather case, back and screen protector removed ( not the one with the logo, the plastic ones that makes your camera blurry )
Touchscreen problem seen in the game Alien Shooter, after some playing, the touch screen becomes less and less responsive ( i tap a button to shoot and use some onscreen joystick to move ) - both become unresponsive/less responsive as you play and the phone gathers some heat ( you can feel the touchscreen becoming hotter )
i have a simple tpu case, i had a bit of problem when playing all touch-based games (not ones with gyro like asphalt).
ever since i got the case it's better, i have the ASF and nillkin matte screen protector

I did not use any case just a chip screen protector. Anyway on a good healthy touch screen the screen protector should not influence the touch screen respond.
Hey guys, I have also this touchscreen issue, and I would appreciate if you give a feedback about warranty service, if sony accepted the problem and replaced a touchpanel or not, and also if the replaced touchscreen is better or not. I´m also thinking about sending it back for warranty repair.
I have also found that my phones touch screen is temperature sensitive, when it get cold or warm it just refuses to detect touch actions. Try it yourself put the phone into cold/hot water for 5 second, take it out, quickly clean the display from water and test the touchscreen. I first tought this behavior is normal and I didn´t cared until I started to play games. After 15minutes of playing the touchscreen bug every time appears. But also after a while its randomly disappears. So this thing is strange. (the bug appears identically also when I have my phone in a plastic case)

Same here. I sent my phone back last week to the store where I bought it 2 months ago. They will send the phone to Sony Center but the time for repair or replace the device will not be 2 or 3 days but from 2 weeks to no eta. When the phone will come back to the store they will send the phone to me. I will post if the problem persist or not.
The problem is if they return a phone with the same problem.

They should be aware about this issue even on the new device so at this time they probably will check that but if they return a phone with the same problem, I will send it back again like many did. Someone had to replace the phone 3 times and I will do the same.
IYeah, you will be a long time without your phone though. I think I'll wait a bit since i rarely get the error and actually only when i try to reproduce it. How bad was yours?

I was able to reproduce the problem in many ways, Touch Screen Test, Opening the phone with Patterns, Scrolling Pages or with Launcher instead of switch the page it was opening the applications and at last when I was gaming at one point the touch stopped working and I had to wait, so this made my mind to send it back. On daily use was all ok but in some circumstances was frustrating.
i had the problem with cm11. and when I retored to stock then the problem was gone:S
I'm on stock and I got the problem.
Today for the first time I got the problem when writing on handrite. So I thought about using my phone warranty to get anotehr one. But it don't always fails when i do the method to reproduce it. So, how do you test if your new phone is working and how do you prove that it isn't? I mean what if i take the phone to warranty and it works?
And for you who already changed phone, it is working?

Sent from my C6943 using xda app-developers app
Did youu made the method to reproduce and it didn't failed? For how long do you have the 3rd phone?

Screen Flickering

Hey guys
I have a very strange problem with my Huawei P10
About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that two purple horizontal stripes are appearing in a 3-4sec sequence
Normally, I would immediately ask for a repair, but there's a thing which persecutes me: it only happens when I don't touch the screen for longer than 3-4sec
When there's a continuous contact with the screen (e.g when writing a message) nothing happens, everything is fine and dandy, but whenever I leave the screen for itself for 3 or more seconds (e.g when watching a movie), the stripes start to appear every few seconds, and continue until the screen goes dark or until I touch it again, but after touching it it still takes only a few seconds for the stripes to sequentially flicker again
Here's what I've tried so far (no result):
- safe mode
- factory reset
- cache partition wiping
- cord input deep clean
What may be the reason?
Hey.
It's 100% a board or Display issue. send it for repairs. but i believe maybe you've dropped ur phone. Anyways Huawei knows better.

It's quite complicated
I once dropped it, but even after that, the previous LCD worked fine, there were no errors other than broken glass, so I guess we could exclude a board issue and lean toward your second option, as now that the LCD has been replaced, the fault occurs
What's more, I noticed that if I press the Home Key, and then put my finger in the bottom right corner and hold it, I can still use the whole LCD space without the flickering (I need to press the Home Key first so that it works after I hold my finger in the corner)
It's like the LCD needs to be in contact with your finger all the time to avoid that, which has led me to an idea: would a tempered glass solve that maybe?

I can't really answer for sure but i believe if there's a Huawei service center in your city and you try to fix ur broken huawei, your wasting your time. Whatever solution u apply on ur phone its just gonna be temporary since u hide your problem and not solved it.

I still think (or should I say believe ) that there's a solution which doesn't involve another screen replacement
As for your "temporary solution" mention, I guess if I found one, it wouldn't be temporary, since the fault doesn't progress, it's been the same for a month or so when it first occured, which gives me another reason not to replace the screen and keep looking for other possibilities
I don't need a Huawei service center, I can replace the LCD myself (didn't do that the first time though), but it still involves spending money, whereas I've been looking for unpaid solutions the whole time; getting a new LCD is an extremity

You can ask them to diagnose it and tell you about problem noone makes you pay for a lcd. And after reading your message over and over (And since i repair TVs and everything with electronics inside) i think it also can be your touch or display controller ic. Mostly it could be from touch ic since screen works fine while its in touch with something. But someone has to try your lcd or mb on a healthy one to make sure. which you can't do nothing like that. or do you?
@fengels did You bought original lcd, where can I buy it in good price?
I know this problem from older galaxy series like s5. The fix for this most of the time was disable auto brightness or higher the brightness on auto brightness. Don't know if this is the same problem, but it could be a try. Also don't know which cause this strange problem. Hope it can help you

No, it's a different problem, in the galaxy series the whole screen would flicker, whereas in my P10 it's only 2 horizontal stripes appearing in a 4-5 sec sequence whenever I leave the screen untouched for longer than 5sec
Playing around with the brightness doesn't solve that unfortunately, actually no in-device settings do, as I've tried almost every single option which is screen-related, like switching the eye comfort mode on, but still no result
The main reason why I'm still looking for an unpaid solution is that apart from this one error, the phone is like brand new, everything works fine
ok, so if I understad the problem shows up after you replaced the LCD display? So do you really think is more software related than hardware? I personally would send it to diagnose and repair.

The thing is it didn't show up immediately, I had used the phone for some time with no errors before it first occured
Also, since the new LCD was set, I haven't done any physical damage to it, I've never dropped or sunk the phone
Since you guys mostly advise me to send it, I guess that's what I will have to do

While you were replacing screen, did you turn your device off and disconnect the battery? and i think cleaning all cables coming from LCD and related sockets on motherboard can help. Use thinner or alcohol and if you wanna use thinner be careful so it wouldn't touch anything except golden contacts. Thinner is dangerous and affects ur phone color and plastic parts.

I did turn the device off, but I didn't take the battery off, since it's strongly glued to the phone's body, and I didn't want to damage it
Anyway, could not taking the battery off really be the reason?
As for cleaning, I did it by simply blowing out all the potential dirt, I'm inexperienced in thinner and alcohol cleaning

I am not sure butbon some phones it damages screen. I've seen this on laptops. But anyways its done. Open ur phone and use alcohol. put 2 drops of alcohol on each socket and flat cable connectors and brush it with a soft brush. u don't want to bent any golden contact. It's last thing u can do to fix it without paying for hardware related stuff.

Well, will definitely try it then, but what alcohol? Does it need to be something specific?
