Protection For The Back Of The Second Screen - LG V60 ThinQ Accessories

Has anyone found or tried and skins or screen protectors for the back of the second screen? I can only imagine how scratched it will get in my pocket.

Love to know this as well. Not sure of the thought process on this one.

We need something like this for the LG Velvet.

eBay look on there

Since the cover is basically just a solid piece of glass without any notches or anything, any "universal" screen protector of the correct size would work, I would think. The only thing you would want to account for is the slot at the top, so tempered glass might be out.

Screen protector

There came a screen protector with my Touch Dual, which works very well, i do not see any difference in using the protector or using the device without it. So anybody out there, who knows, where to get this specific protector?
Thanks in advance.
we
PS It is adhesive, which i like more than sticking it to the screen and never being able to remove it again
the one that came with mine is ok but I messed up by having some dust underneath so I've ordered a new one from here: http://www.martinfields.co.uk/dis_product.asp?model=HTC_DualTouch&modeln=Touch Dual&prod_type=screen
I've always used Martin Fields screen protectors, IMHO they're the best! plus they're ultra clear once you put them properly you can't tell

In all my excitement when I got the Touch Dual more than two weeks ago I completely overlooked the screen protector in the box Found it but still not applied it yet
Brando already delivers touch dual protectors too.
Screnn Protector Washable?
Hi..
Do you know if original screnn protector is Whashable?
Thanks
The orig. protector rocks.
I bought some from ebay and already dropped them into garbage.
Now i ordered one from martinfields and i hope this one works better for me ...
Any other experience?
i got 3 really cheap ones off ebay which are fantastic.
they're in 3 sections, you take one side off to reveal the sticky side then put it on the screen then pull the other side off to reveal the front face of the cover.
really good.

I bought this as spare:

so is the martin fields one the best? i applied the original one wrong and there is dust underneath it and need a new screen protector

I don't know whether it's the best or not, but I had the same problem that you do.
I bought the protector from martinfields based on the recommendations in this thread, and must say that I like it better than the original one.
It is thinner, so it seems like you need less pressure to make the screen react when you press it.
I've only had it for a day, so I really can't say how durable it is...

Are the Martin Fields and Invisible Shields self adhesive?
I don't have to glue them on do I hehe
The one that came with mine I put it on properly but then I panicked slightly and thought "How do I get it back off!" so peeled one side up just to see if it would come off, then of course got all dust and crap under the edge so it looks skanky now thus want a new one.
I only managed to do that because it was slightly misaligned and a bit overlapped at the side of the screen though not enough to notice unless you looked very closely. So how do you get them off if they are put on perfectly? I know you could use a knife but you could scratch the screen and that defeats the purpose

Don't know about Martin Fields.
Go to link in above post to see Invisible Shield. If I remember correctly, they tell you how to do things on their site. I don't have one for the niki so can't tell you for sure, but have one on my ipod and it took awhile to get on, but well worth it.
Also, their customer support is very very good.

Use scotch tape. Just stick it on the face of the screen protector and lift. Simple as that.
Btw, I've recently swapped out my screen protector because I somehow got a scratch on it. Anyway, the sales recommended one that was matte finished (as oppose to glossy like most screen protectors). I have to say, it is so much better than the traditional glossy ones. The great part is the texture. It is so much smoother than regular ones. Great for sliding your finger across using Touchflo.
However, it does diminish your off-axis visual quality. But i suppose that doesn't really matter since you don't look at your screen off-axis much anyway. It may even be a plus since you might not want the person next to you to see what you're looking at...

That's a good idea! I never thought of that, I did see something on a website about using something sticky to remove it but I was thinking of blutak or something like that and thinking that it wouldn't work very well!
A bit of grit got on my screen and I scratched the protector with my stylus the other day, another reason to get a new one, but also a good reason for leaving the current one on!
Where do you get the matte ones from?

I'm in Hong Kong so I just picked it up from one of many independently owned techy shops. I didn't pay attention to what brand it was (i basically just paid the guy and he opened it up and stuck it on for me). The next time i head back there, i'll take note of the brand.
Invisible Shield
Just installed the I.S. (bought on ebay) on my Niki...
It's been a pain in the neck to install...
It's really hard to prevent small bubbles on the surfaces...
Maybe on a white ipod has a better look but on the Niki black finish you'll see them..they're really really small but sometimes in a large number: the overall effect is as a dirty and scratched Niki...
Bigger ones could rise passing from the front/back to the lateral sides, in particular near the big 4 rounds.
The hole for the hands-free speaker was totally missing!
When in hand you can feel the sharp edges corresponding to its thickness ...
The original protector is a little bit "softer"
But...
I can have it in my pocket with no additional thickness...
Right now I was using the silicon case, but it seemed that I was calling with a tv remote control...
I was just gonna buy an Invisible Shield *Thinks*
Thanks for the info ohyeahar I was thinking of going for the Invisible Shield but now might just go for a screen protector and some sort of leather case-age. Dunno

question on screen protectors.

which do you think is better:
phantom skinz or invisible shield?
i tried both and invis was cloudy looking. phantomz is great but it leaves dents and impressions that won't go away.
sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

I had the invisible shield, put it on right as I unboxed the phone, it looked perfect. Starting peeling off about 2 months later, still has a nice fit on the screen but everything else is gone. Kinda mad I spent 30 bucks.
My friend got the ghost armor on his blackberry and i think its pretty good. I would recommend that, its a bit more pricey but well worth it.
Go to BoxWave.com
Look for the Clear Touch (anti-glare)
They make the screen look VERY black when off, yet allow you very clear access when on.....make sense?
Very protective....very hard.....custom fit.
I have been using since right before the TiLt.
This is NOT a flimsy screen protector.
And I have ZERO bubbles with this brand!
Thanks,
Bubba.

How the hell did you manage that? I am being way careful, and with a screen protector, I have a slight scratch on the screen... Aww good though.
I have some POS ebay $3 for 3 screen protector, which has a sticky side that loves dust. The outside is clear and has some "self healing" scratch removing stuff.
BTW I found that once the protective film is removed from the screen protector ( prior to applying) it collected fine particles of dust which caused bumps and little vacuoles. It has a high static attraction cover which Can be neutralized so the protector can be positioned and moved.
The way I did it was with windex. I sprayed and wiped/removed any clinging dust. Then shook off violently any windex, so only really small droplets were left. Placed the protector in position, which now slides with a firm push. Gently squeegeed off any windex with a towel at the edge of the screen, preventing any from going under it. The result is a bump free stuck on, reuseable dust protector.
I am using
8 gauge clear vinyl.
$2.99 a square yard from local JoAnn fabric. Works very nicely. For me has been better by far than the $20.99 invisishield crap bestbuy originally put on my phone. I do not have a cloudiness issue, and bubbles are easily worked out when first applying. 8 gauge is fairly thin, if you want something a little thicker you might go with the 10 or 12. 4 gauge was way to thin for my taste.
I've had my Hero since Day 1 and carry it in my pocket and there isn't a mark on the screen. I don't think you need a screen protector with this phone.

If I recall correctly, they'll replace it for free at one of their stores (probably in your local mall.) They told me they had a lifetime warranty so any time it peeled off they would replace it.
i got one of those cheap-o screen protectors from ebay. so far its working fine since i baby the hell out of the phone. That ghost armor is lookin really good i might just have to try it myself.
I put a invis-a-shield on my phone right off the bat and had it on for the first few months but in January it started pealing off then just vanished(fell out of pocket somewhere). The phone has gone 4 months sans screen protector and the screen looks brand new and is much slicker then with the protector on in terms of friction. The phone body is starting to show signs of wear, big chunk missing in the body near head phone jack from a 12' fall down the stairs and the end call button is stripped to just red.

Does your Dot View Case close all the way??!

I just got my new Dot Case from VZ, but the bloody thing doesn't close all the way. The front flap is not flush with the screen so its hard to see the notifications. I do have a tempered glass screen on there, but I don't think that is the actual cause of the flap not being flushed. I'm just wondering if I got a lemon?

Tempered glass screen protector off - closes all the way nicely.
Tempered glass screen protector adds just enough thickness to cause the front flap to not close as it increases the height against the hinge for the cover. Bummer
I look at this two ways. Cover of the dot case negates the need for a screen protector....or I can choose a case that the screen protector is able to work with (I did this, having had the dot case and learned the hard way about the fit).

I have the nillkin glass protector...only one I can confirm. Dot case closed perfectly without the glass installed. With the glass installed, stayed open and would not fully close.

Thanks....it's the exact same glass I have. Looks like the Dot case is going back.
Same issue here. Glass protector and when the dot view case arrived it won't close because of the protector. Case is ugly anyway so it is going back tomorrow.
If it's anything like the normal flip case it may take a few weeks to break the case in. I had the flip case one the M7, and many complained about this. After a week or two it was just fine.
A brand new dot view case didn't close all the way on my phone (with Verizon screen protector.)
But since the case breaks bluetooth voice dialing, I immediately returned it.
Yea.. after 5 hours of use, I had to return mine as well. I tried extra hard to like it, but I should've listened to the reviews I've read about it hindering one-handed usage. Went back to my Nillikin slim case and all is well again.
Hmm, I also got a dot view and a glass screen protector and am thinking maybe I shouldn't put it on. I need to test out the case for a few days, see how I like it... I didn't care for the Samsung view cover cases, not sure if I'll like this one. The dot view seems to be one of the cases where you either love it or hate it.
Case closing
I can tell you that the first week the case did not close all the way. Now it closes perfectly.
It has to be kind of broken in. I personally love the case.....

Three or four days of use loosened mine so that it closed even with a tempered glass screen protector on it. Do not have any gap when sitting flat now, closes all the way. Give it a few days. Even breaks in for one handed use well. Just takes getting used to like any change. :cyclops:

I just wondered because you said the case broke in after a week.
I'm wondering whether I should purchase the Spigen Glas.tR. which is 0.23mm or should I purchase a 0.15mm screen protector instead.
Does the glass effect the viewing of the case?
Are you having problems with the case with the glass at all?

Dazzling white vs Titanium Bronze

hello folks!
So I'm about to receive the titanium bronze Samsung galaxy tab s 8.4 and will have 14 days to make an exchange. I went to the store the other day and had a comparison with the texture of Titanium bronze vs dazzling white. So I made a little scratch test with my finger nails on the demos and the white can barely see any scratches being made while the bronze can definitely see scratch marks made. Despite this I was wondering what other pros/cons for these back covers have? I'm most likely am going to have a skin protection for the front/back of the tablet because I want to protect any scratch marks and finger prints in case. Does anyone know of any good skin protection out there? Is ZAGG any good? I'm also looking for book cases that can make the tablet stand at a 45 degree, cover the front and back for extra protection. I welcome all feedbacks and recommendations
I recommend the tempered glass screen protectors. I have one on mine. Just like the original screen.
I'm not able to scratch my back, what you using keys?
Tbh i think its pointless buying a nice tablet like this if all youre gonna do is completely cover it up and put another glass screen/protector in front of it. Making it look crap and spoiling the experience until you sell . Samsung could have done that themselves, but who would have bought it then?
Phones and covers yes, screen protectors no. In my experience screens dont get scratched/damaged unless you really abuse the device.
I have the Samsung simple cover and it compliments the tab s perfectly. Dont wanna hide that nice back.

I was able to make scratch marks that were apparent in the bronze and the scratches were easily visible if you were to take a real close look at it. If my nails can make a scratch mark out of it, i'd best be putting a screen protector on the back too : )

I beg to differ about using glass screen will make it look crap, im using a brando rounded edges tempered glass and it adds to the beauty, now it looks like a giant note for with glass screen tapered smoothly through the side. And i forgot it's even there. It would be easy/cheaper to replace a tempered glass rather than the whole digitizer when you got it scratched.
Also using a smart cover free from sammy when i bought minde. Serves its purpose.
On aother note, be carefull on thr faux metallic bronze side. It's so soft that a little bump with an edged object will leave its mark.

Thank god I thought I was the only person going crazy here because I definitely felt as if the titanium bronze's back cover was easy to make a mark on it(be it from scratch, smudge, etc). But I'm one of those fanatics where I need to first get a protector on the tablet before I even begin to use it haha. I've been seeing a lot of 'tempered glass screen protectors' than before, is it the best type of protector out there atm? Is it like in between glass and plastic? I've also had plastic screen protector or skin protector as some would call it, on my phone and have had no issues, no corner peels or as much finger prints to none, clear and see through but I do want to keep up to date of the current protection of phones/tablets. What are some benefits of the tempered glass protector have? All I really care about really are the smudges like finger prints, corner peels, no dust, no bubbles, scratch resistant of course and most importantly clear/see through.

I am the same way. I always have a screen protector ready for when I get a new phone or tablet. I like to keep my electronics in good shape. Have switched to the tempered screen protectors a while back and can definitely say it is well worth it. I use to alway buy square trade warranty for my phones but have stopped since using the tempered screen protectors. The screen is really the most valuable piece to protect. I can attest that the tempered glass really works. Both of my daughters have dropped their phones and the tempered screen protector shattered but the screen on the phone did not. Thus well worth the investment. A normal screen protector would have done nothing to absorb the impact. Anyway, I highly recommend them. Also, check reviews and different brands on Amazon. You don't have to spend an arm an a leg on these. I paid $8 for iCarez for my G3 and girls iPhones. Just as good as Zagg which people pay $40 - 50 dollars for. As far as the Galaxy tab S, I also added one due to the size of the tablet. I am not using a case since I have the matching keyboard. I have not had a tablet this large before so was definitely concerned about dropping it. Picked up the Skinomi tempered glass. A bit more at $23 but quite a bit larger screen as well.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a tempered glass protector from Skinomi because of their life time replacement warranty : )
I made another thread discussing about the skin protections of Skinomi for the back covers.

Carbon fiber, Wood and Brushed... but unfortunately no reviews anywhere

I also picked up their clear back skin. Just got so can't comment on it yet. Again, this is the clear back. As mentioned, I have the matching keyboard so I am using this without a case on. I wanted to make sure the back at least had something on to prevent from potential scratches and dings. Not as good as standard case, but better than nothing at all.

Clear skin would be a good idea but I don't know if it has grid-like pattern that allows air bubbles to escape just like the wood/brushed/carbon skins have. But yeah, I guess i'll be the guinea pig to test it out, still debating carbon fiber/brushed. I'll write a review and show pics of it when I order it and have everything set up ready
Didn't know there are hardware differences between the two. I got myself a white Tab S because that's what was on sale at the moment. I'd buy it in any color other than pink.

[Q] Slickwraps/dBrand carbon skin + Screen protector - How?

Hi,
I am looking to buy a G4 and I want to order slickwraps carbon skin.
They cover all but the screen it self, hence I need a protector.
The issue is, that the front side of the G4 is also covered by the carbon skin and I wont be able to put the screen protector afterwards..
Any suggestions?
It's just glass with a pattern under it.

put the screenprotector on first, then the skin. otherwise you'll probably see a gap around the edges if you do it the other way around

No I don't think it would, that's the way I did it on my phone a few years ago
I made the mistake of putting on the skin first, then TEMPERED GLASS on top of that. Bad idea. Haha. Huge air bubbles, rendered the screen protector useless. I definitely recommend putting the skins on top of any screen protector you put on.
Nope. Don't do it.
When you apply the skin on the screen directly, it's thick enough that it reaches the same height as the bezel (I have one on at the moment), so if you have a screen protector under that, the skin is gonna be higher than the bezel, and it's gonna scratch your hands (very annoying) no matter how you grab it, it'll grab dust from everywhere and probably get damaged fast. You'll hate it.
Use either of them, not both, unless you can skillfully cut the screen protector to fit inside the skin
Im hoping @slickwraps does some "naturals" like they did for the Nexus 6. I especially like the football one, quite unique. Id be more than willing to be a ginnea pig then review it
Edit; the new glow in the dark would be great as well!

Damn
Now I am not sure I am going to buy the G4..
I hate cases (hence I love the carbon wrap) and screenprotector is a must.. else I will get a broken screen every few months.

heh? I don't think I've seen (or ever wanted) a phone with bezels so high above the screen they would fit both a screen protector and a skin
You could put the screen protector in the front and get a skin for the back only
