Soft Brick Help Please!

Just got the phone. Came with Vendor ROM. Attempted the TWRP in main Guide section but it froze. Was advised by someone to flash the "Smarty" version of TWRP. That one had working touch so I thought it was good to go. I backed up the vendor ROM and went ahead and flashed EU Rom along with Super SU zip. It didn't go through properly and I was forced to long press power to restart.
I attached pictures of the failed TWRP dialogue and what happened after I tried to restart the phone. I really need some sound advice. I'm like super stressed over this big ass overpriced phone

Replied to your post in the other thread. Follow the steps in the guides EXACTLY as mentioned and you wont face any issues.
Since you're able to boot into fastboot mode, start from scratch and follow the steps. Hope this helps.

Agreed. If you can fastboot then all the files you need are available... You'll be fine, I know that stress, just take it slow and don't be in a hurry.

I come up in the same situation like your first picture every time I try to flash a new rom on my Mix. I had nandroid backed up everything though.
When TWRP stops after extraction I press power button and volume up to reboot at recovery. Then I restore my backup and MIX is working again.

I think don't do anything after flashing ROM till it says DONE should be added to guide. You moved to the next stage before ROM had finished installing. Would of thought that you should be able to boot to TWRP and just reflash, if not just follow guide to install TWRP.

I came here to instruct the same solution.
Only way to get EU flashed was to go back to Global Stable. After this TWRP could flash any ROM.

I had the problem on China stable although English language is available it was US English, gave me some issues, now on EU ROM I can select English UK and all is good.

Maybe you would be better on Chinese ROM.

Glad you got it up and running. I also had the play store issue so I installed the two apps that said were incompatible from the Amazon app store. It is not region locked.

That's a good idea!

Reset After Every Reboot

Every time I reboot my phone, it resets to factory settings and I see the "Welcome" screen. It only does this when the time in TWRP is inaccurate (e.g. 10:03AM when it's 8:49PM). I've reinstalled twrp, reinstalled the ROM, locked and unlocked the bootloader, but nothing works. I just get the same blue screen.

thats a strange issue you on custom rom? i dont have this device but i ordered it and this post getting me worried

captain here i had the same issue this morning when i tryed to reboot to add some mods on Octos Rom it's a bug in force encryption i really want my data to be secured and encrypted but at the same time it makes it hard to play with.
Solution : flash stock recovery then factory reset the phone

u should be worried this new encryption thing is awesome for normal users but it will make it hard for the devs

Do you have f2fs or extv4 partition? f2fs is currently having some issue..better to stay with extv4 for some time

It worths every penny keep it on rooted stable stock in my opinion

Unbrick Tutorial
OK, so far I've used this unbrick tutorial to get me completely back to stock (version 3.5.1) and now I'm waiting for the OxygenOS to finish the OTA. Will report back when finished.

Then u ll have to disable encryption so u can use whatever rom u like without bugs

use OnePlus3T-ToolKit-v2.0 to disable it
also don't use PIN lock on ur rom

did u try flashing the stock recovery if no then u need an other way to clean data partition as sed it's and encryption problem
1- download OnePlus3T-ToolKit-v2.0
2- connect ur device in fastboot
3- choose flash stock recovery
4- flash stock recovery and wait for it to boot
Note : if u dont want to lose ur data try flashing TWRP 3.0.4 insted

Now that strange, where I managed doing it my self. If (which I believe is the case) your model doesn't show up on the list choose the option of 'All Other Supported Models '. This did the trick for me, where I also have unlocked my desire 10 lifestyle.
Now getting the rom version 'tweaked' to your convenience that's is the harder part. I managed install Xposed and xtended tweaks but it doesn't really work because SElinux is active, system remains R/O and wp can't be de-activated

Well I did that, but after doing the last step it freezes on a screen with :
successful image (1/1)
Installing
And that's it.. So idk maybe pro is different than lifestyle

Well it worked finally and thank you that u responded BTW just one more thing is there a tutorial on how to root

i successfully unlocked the bootloader but i cant seem to root the device, i have tried so many different rooting softwares like kingoroot, iroot, etc and all of them fail. Help me

I will try to build TWRP recovery for this device but need someone help me to test it, I have no this device in hand...

I have built one with a56uhl_pro_dugl device' kernel, so it may not compatible with a56uhl_pro_uhl device.
Please test it and if it doesn't work on a56uhl_pro_uhl device i will try to search the kernel that work on it.

Well recovery is not a prolem the root is, i managed to get twrp recovery but everytime i flash su nthn happened and i dont get root and if am not making myself Clear am sorry you guys...

That's weird!
Perhaps is TWRP didn't decrypt the data partition so it can not install supersu apk into userdata.
You can try to install SuperSU apk on Google Play manually.

I did but no success , no root detected... Idk if there is a file to flash to get root since i already have TWRP, this phone is weird me getting frustrated

What's your device's current rom version? dual or single sim?
I can make a patched boot image for you, and you could flash it in download mode.
I have did it on desire 820 both dual and single sim version before.

yes, but if you tried the updated method and it worked with you it wont wipe any thing because that means your bootloader is already unlocked.

sorry for taking me too long to answer. to be honest with you i tried this way over ten times with my phone and some of my friend. for me and some others it worked from the first time bout for others they had to go through the procedure more than one time till they succeeded. and as you see no one in this thread said if they tried it and if it worked smoothly with them or not.

hi okay all good but there is now way to boot recovery :/ both botton doesnt nothing :/ and only down makes a quick spalsh then turns off
when i get that lenovo menu it keeps rebooting to the android recovery :/ not trwp :/ im sad :/

just use the very last method ( if something went wrong )and you will have your phone working as new

i haven't tried it on your basband version. but did you reboot normally to Android first? if you did try to flash twrp again. I'm not sure if it will work with baseband cause as i said i haven't tried it on this update.

same man. there is no way to root this phone :/

as i told you i haven't tried it on the new baseband.
i think it only works with baseband 170406 and earlier.

well thank you for giving us your feedback :good: just copy the xposeed framework apk to your phone and install it normaly after that run the app and chose install then install from recovery.

this the best i can do it's very easy to install. just install the apk then choose install, install via recovery, grant supersu and it would reboot by it self then it will be installed

Troubles with custom rom

Guys, I decided to install custom firmware, but I met a bunch of problems.
I chose this recovery https://4pda.ru/pages/go/?u=https:/...4690/fsdownload/krdcaHlb9/TWRP_A30&e=94266802 and installed it through One, the recovery is loading, everything is fine. Then I decided to install Lineage OS 17.1 (https://w3bsit3-dns.com.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=948701&view=findpost&p=90491345), BUT after a successful installation of the image it loads me into recovery again, and in the reboot section it says "no os installed ". At the moment, I can’t install any os - he writes that it is successful but eventually reboots into recovery. I will be glad to any help or advice.

dude same here , i tried flashing arrowOS and pixel EXperience but no OS installed shown ..i think its because TWRP doesn't support on android 10 cause on TWRP you can't change the option "mount system as read". this one is the first problem and there are so many else...
i tried many options, flashing new TWRP as well but RIP.

You should flash it in odin like usual twrp, then format data, reboot to recovery and flash magisk debug(https://4pda.ru/forum/dl/post/18911692/magisk-debug.zip) . Works fine.
And you must be registred to be allowed to download from there else you get an error

Im using Lineage os 17.1, there are two bugs: mtp(but in twrp it works) and when u are using bluetooth headset incoming call's sound will go through speaker
