I've been looking for a kernel for AOSP/AOKP/CM11 based roms for our phone that supports USB fast charging. Thankfully almost all the roms I find are unified builds for the roms and most kernels support sense or GPE. Is there a kernel that supports this feature? The only one I've come across is furnace kernel, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't support the feature.
After having installed Cyanogenmod 12 on my device a while ago, I was searching through the kernels section on the forums here and was surprised that there are no kernels available for CM 12 yet (I'm using Santod's Nuk3rn3l 3.0 ATM, but AFAIK, it hasn't been updated lately).
Even more - there are hardly kernels for CM at all. Why is that? Is Sense just more common? I'd really like to overclock my CPU or some other things, for example - things I find only Sense or GPe kernels for.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't use Sense/GPe kernels on CM, right?
AOSP based and cm based ROMs haven't been stable as of now,it doesn't mean it lessens affort of developers like akhil or varun but we need stock based ROMs in the meantime if you see nexus 5 forum there you have "catacalysm"
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/orig-development/rom-cataclysm-nexus-5-t2518660)which is most appropriated rom over there. It is essentially a stock rom modified with some gravitybox like features .It even supports RRO layERS. I am not a dev by any mean don't have computer to try out these things but we have well more than capable developers who could develop such ROMs quite easily. What do you think is it worth it?
I've been a lurker on XDA for 6 years, but this is the first post, so I can't post in the development section. Is anyone interested in releasing a tweaked stock kernel that can be undervolted? That's free battery life improvements and cooler temperatures on the table that we aren't utilizing. Thanks.
undervolt capable kernel for all Quarks here:

or you're asking for another one?
Sorry, should have specified that I'm looking for a kernel compatible with the stock ROM, or in my case, Computerfreek's unlocked ROM for the XT1254.
^^ i second that motion, ive tried flashing BH's kernel on CF's rom and it does not work.
@baybutcher27 did Motorola release the source for their kernel?
yes.
https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLLC/kernel-msm/tree/lollipop-5.1.1-release-quark
the job is not easy to make adaptation to stock kernel is need the kernel source for that ROM that one is for su44 but I don't believed that is 100% update in relation to the kernel that is on Su 44, some tings are odd to me when I look to the source but it must work. we can make that one to work on custom ROM, but to make it work on stock, is need a dev that have a XT1254 and are on verizon network and a lot of time.
Most change that I make work on custom can be ported to the stock kernel, so if a dev can do this it just need to check to my or any other msm or apq8084 device nexus 6, and samsung device that have apq8084 variant note 4 and S5 maybe others.
I can make my kernel boot on xt1225 5.0.2 stock ROM, but many tings don't work of course that kernel source is not made to xt1225 stock ROM but I can make it boot, so if a dev has a xt1254 and are on verizon may have more luck.
Is the kernel source the only missing thing to make some custom roms kernels?
Pretty much, yes.
and now that they have been released, development can begin
It will take some time because I am building the device-tree as well.
