Hi guys,
I just got a quinck charger 3.0 from Anker, the P30 Pro is saying it is in "Quick Charge" but it sometimes charge at 2.5A and often at 1.2A.
Do you know if there are some compatibility issues?
Thank you!
It is compatible, iv got a qc3 charger and it shows quick charging by 2 lightening bolts on the battery. Works with wireless quick change as well.

Thank you. It says quick charge, but it never goes up to 3A. it moves between 1.2A and 2.5A, that's why I'm not sure it works correctly.
I still use it with the fast charge cables (purple ones) I think they handle the power to them

Plug in the quick charge 2.0 charger, there is no sign if it is in quick charging or just normal charging? Is there any sign on the phone to show it is quick charging?

Unless something is built into the charger you don't. The Tenergy has an LED the is blue when charging a non-QC 2.0 device and turns green when a QC 2.0 device is charging. Other than something like that all you can do is look at a battery monitor app and check how fast the charge is.
Check the current reading in GSAM.

You don't. But you notice that it charges from anything <=75% to 80%+- quicker then a normal charger. Reverts to slower charge rate from 80%-100%.
Only true way of knowing is to purchase an inline amp\volt meter. I bought one off eBay for couple quid. It plugs in to USB socket and you plug the charging cable in to it.

First of all, the phone will heat up a fair bit while charging. Secondly, you can connect to your phone with ADB over WiFi (with help of an app from Play Store), grab logcat and look for messages from the 'quickcharge' service. If QC is working, they will say that the phone has successfully negotiated 9V charging current with the charger.
You can just time it or something like that...

Where is this current reading in GSAM (screenshot)? I have the app (pro version/add on for rooted), and while it appears that one of my chargers is 2.0 compliant (based on rate of change on a graph)...I can't find where it shows the current/voltage option/graph mentioned above.
TIA.
Just post a screenshot GSAM whilst it's charging.

Helo.
I am charging with original huawei 9v2a charger it also has super charger ability 5v4.5a.
However from amper meter i see only ~1.2a 5v
I suppose it is fast charging phone? Should be 9v5a
No fast charging message apears.
Something wrong?
Thanks
It should say Fast charging on your lock screen, maybe your charger is broken or (I doubt) battery.
My Nokia 8 shows charging on the lock screen and after few minutes it shows the time left to fully charge.
Just then I noticed my phone was on 19% and lock screen was on when I plugged in the charger. On the lock screen above the fingerprint icon it read charging rapidly and then it changed to charging slowly and went back and forth a couple of times, then went just said charging. I can replicate it 100%. Does what it says on the screen really mean it was charging slow and fast and fluctuating in between it?
Phone running oreo beta latest and using stock cable and charger that was supplied. Ampere shows 2910m.
What do you guys make of it.
From 19% to full charge the lock screen shows 3hours. Is that right for Quick Charge?
TIA
I have exactly the same experience with the supplied charger and other QC 3.0 chargers. I tested all the chargers in my house and found my old QC 2.0 Samsung charger is able to constantly rapid charge the phone. I have not yet been able to test of it is actually faster, will update when my battery runs out.
The same here.
I have a QC 3.0 certified charger and it is not showing fast or rapid charge. Looks like there is some issue with Nokia. It was exactly the same using Nougat.
Was able to do further testing and it seems the phone is quick charging with the supplied charger, or any other QC 3.0 charger. The supplied charger was 20 minutes quicker than my old Samsung QC 2.0 charger.
There definitely is a bug in correctly displaying charging rate when connected to QC 3.0 chargers. Also the charging estimates are about twice as high as they should be. The phone can fully charge around an hour and a half, but estimate states three plus hours.
Looks like a couple other people have noticed this issue on the Nokia support forums.
Does fast or quick charge works for anyone?
After updating to .189 my phone stopped fast charging.
Before I charged with my Aukey 3A charger and saw 2 bolts in battery icon. Now it shows only one bolt.
My version is C432.
How about other users?

Yes, I have the same issue. Also, my PC doesn't recognise the phone when connecting with a USB cable.
Edit: I had a faulty USB charging board. Part number is 02351YXN. Fairly easy to replace. You can find it here: https://is.gd/J1hvEM
The solution is to make use of the original supercharge/ fast charge adapter.
Same issue with 2 original chargers with my P10. Was working fine evening before the update to emui 9. Used to charge fully while on Spotify and connected to a Bluetooth speaker. Now at the end of the workout I have less battery than when I started charging. What a joke. Another thing pissing me off is that I keep minimizing the current application while typing on the keyboard. It pisses me off and never happened before...
Hey all, anyone found a working alternative to the default charger and cables?
I've tried a couple wall chargers and cables that supports more than 55w (11V/5A), but none of them seem to display the yellow, fast charging status.
I tried xiaomi power bank pro 3. Which support 45w and samsung wall charger also 45w. Both charge the phone with 28w. I guess if you take a look at the oem vivo charger its 10w and 18w and 33w and 55w. So its not capable of anything else. You should probably use a 33w (11v- 3A) it should be ok. Or (11v-5a)
