Hi, i've searched so much for but can't find any Firmware for the P40 Pro ELS-NX9. Does anyone know where i can find it ?
The only one i've found is from a russian server and it doesnt work says always wrong device.
ELS-LGRP4-OVS firmwares should work. I flashed ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.148 Full OTA from Firmware Finder (Download Link) using Hisuite Proxy and it worked perfectly with my ELS NX9.
Thanks i will try it.

Hey everyone,
So after bouncing around the P30P HiSuite proxy method thread and thanks to @jericho246 for his earlier post with the path to the .148 full OTA package, I have successfully flashed .148 from .136 for my EU C432 ELS-NX9 as shown below. It's possible to do the same for C605 and the other regions as well assuming you have the correct, approved firmware too. For those on C432, I feel your pain having to wait so long for a working solution as EU always seem one of the last continents to get the newest updates. So now we can have the June and July Android security patches and hopefully all the camera and other improvements carried over across, including .142. Big thanks to the OP @@SilviuO , @IProfessor and everyone from the original source as well that made this all possible for us P40P users: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...de-how-to-flash-approved-fullota-zip-t4112775
This method will also work for those coming from even older versions prior to .136, assuming you use the newest approved firmware for your region and model and that Firmware Finder says it's safe for installation. I wouldn't recommend trying to flash any unapproved versions for your device even if it might look like there's a newer version available on FF as it's probably not for your region yet!
CHECK for your approved OTA Firmware FIRST: Download and install MT Firmware Finder here to check that your firmware is approved and usable for your P40P. DO NOT try to flash firmware that isn't approved and/or isn't designed for your region as this might brick or mess up your device! For example, TN-AN00 is for Chinese region models and not for C432/C636/C605 models. Click for the Google Play Store mirror for those with working GMS
NOTE: I did not need to do full a wipe but backed up via HiSuite anyway just in case. All of my apps and settings remained intact after the update. I don't have GMS so can't confirm if that's still working though.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Download and install the latest Hisuite_10.1.0.550_OVE Desktop Client on to your PC (you DON'T need to locally download the full OTA as HiSuite will do that for you later)
2. Connect your P40P to your computer, making sure ADB USB debugging is enabled under your Android Dev options and agree to install the HiSuite app on your P40P when prompted. Continue with the next steps until the HiSuite desktop client recognizes your device (the app will ask you an authentication code as well if you've not used HiSuite before). Do a local Backup of all your data to your PC just in case while we're here.
3. Close down your HiSuite Desktop client and download and run the HiSuite proxy.exe (unzip all of the files first to anywhere you'd like)
4. Configure your HiSuite proxy for the suitable version and software region of your P40P. Your cust/model is shown next to your firmware build number under Software Update/About Phone.
FIND THE URL TO YOUR UPDATE THROUGH THE WEB-BASED FIRMWARE FINDER PAGE HERE (make sure you check your region and model back on the app to ensure it's definitely approved for your P40P, in my instance for my EU C432 ELS-NX9, the model began with ELS-XXX)
For .1XX -> .148 C432 EU ELS-NXX MODELS ONLY: Paste this URL for .148 in the package path: http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G5633/g1604/v434397/f1/ , followed by ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.148 as the version next to it and tick the 'Point Version' checkbox. After that, click on the Setup button to finish the proxy configuration. From what I understand, .147, .148 & .149 are identical anyway according to the update log so just edit the version number and paste the new package URL for that one instead if you want to flash another build as stated in the online Firmware Finder database above (make sure the path ends in /f1).
Make sure the output log says it's ready for installation before you proceed and don't close it (as shown in the attached picture). If it comes up with any error messages, make sure your antivirus/firewall isn't blocking it.
5. Launch your HiSuite Desktop Client again, connect your P40P and click on the Software Update option after which it will detect .148 or the build you pointed the HiSuite proxy to. Keep your HiSuite proxy app open in the background throughout the update process!
6. That's it, all done! It's worth wiping the cache partition too in Android recovery mode if you'd like as that's what I like to do every time there's a large update.
I hope this helps you all and good luck!!! :good::highfive:

Someone help me! Please!
Why I can't flash anything with dload method? I have tried lots of things: stock recovery, twrp, erecovery, proxy. But nothing. I tried to use firmware finder too for download an update fullota (of course, all the 3 ZIP package) and tried to put in dload the zips, the update.apps, but won't work. For dload I mean the three buttons method. It gives me always failed, at 5%, with the error "Software Install Failed". Please help me! I tried to toggle signature too to the firmware with huawei firmware extractor but not working. How I can flash firmware (especially firmware founded with firmware finder) using dload method? Please help me and my friends! Thank you to everyone!
These beta build found by firmware Finder might be not enable to be installed on your device. Use the latest check with EMEI to know if it fits.

I'm sorry didn't get the last part. Can you clarify it please ?
I'm on the same boat as the op. With the firmware finder I can only find PRA-LX1C33B130 but like op said, it stops at 5%. The firmware for my phone is PRA-LX1C33B120, but I can't find it anywhere. Right now my phone is bricked because I really can't find any version to install it.
Update firmware Finder, select the update you want and hit "check......" then it will now ask you for IMEI compatibility check
For me, Ive found more than 10 firmwares, I'm on B110 and there is up to b125... Nevertheless I can't install the proxy add-on, I can't use their "register with dns" feature, and I can't past the 5% threshold on dload flash. It seems to be not working at all for pra-lx1. I'm on stock B110 update (phone came with b100 and the B110 update was a legal ota without any mods).
Did you try to send a mail to huawei support team? Explain that you are a dev and you need to stock rom. They may send you a link share it please!

That option is on android right ? I can't use it, so I was trying with the windows version but it doesn't have any option for checking the firmware (or at least i'm not finding it). ~
Well after you said that there is a option to check the firmware the only one that I found (PRA-LX1C33B130) when I checked the firmware it said that It was not approved to install. I guess that is why it stops at 5% ? maybe ? hopefully the firmware status goes to approved somewhere in the neaaarr future.

Hello, I have an EVA-L09C25B136 that's on EMUI 4.1 and Android 6.0. When I check for updates there are not any updates.
The phone is from a latin american carrier "Claro DR" and I haven't done anything to the phone, so it is pure stock. Is there any way I can update this phone to the latest available version for this model?
I have searched the forums but the guides are not directly related to my exact build so I want to be sure before I go and damage it.
Thank you.
FirmwareFinder. It can download every available build from Huaweis server..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.huaweifirmwarefinder&hl=en
How do I know which firmware is compatible with my device?
When I get the list and check every one of the options available, none of those say that they are for my build number.
Don't know what you did.
Open FirmwareFinder, normally it'll recognize your build. In your case EVA-L09C25. If not set the model manually.
Then tap the refresh button and the app will show all builds.
Tap on the first one (EVA-L09C25B320) and ckeck firmware access.
A pop-up will appear with following text: "Firmware approved for installation Models ... . So, there's your latest build (with Nougat, EMUI 5).
For further information about FirmwareFinder and how to use it please check the forum or ask google.
Here is what I did:
In firmware finder indeed it recognized my phone as EVA-L09C25.
1) Click the refresh button.
2) First two firmwares said not approved for installation.
3) 3rd on the list: Firmware aproved for installation Models for Installation: VIE-L09C25B320. Shouldn't be EVA-L09?
4) Tried downloading with firmware finder proxy, download stops at 74%, and closes updater.
5) Tried downloading the zip file and extracting the UPDATE.APP and copied it to the root of the SD Card in the dload folder.
6) Started the update on reboot it says that the firmware is not compatible.
What else should I try?
Well, I've seen what you mean. Very strange. I can only assume that it's caused by C25. It's not even listed in the cust list here https://www.huaweiblog.de/firmware-update-was-bedeutet-cust-emui-und-co/ (german).
Sorry, that I don't know more.
Hi... I cant find a way to upgrade sucessfully from MM to N in my device. ..
I tried both Mostar method (via Huawei Updater and via Firmware Finder) which are shown here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9-plus/how-to/easy-guide-to-upgrade-vie-l29c636-to-t3538540 :
When I try the H.U. method, it seems that the ROM URL provided is not valid, so in the Hisuite app I get "internet conection problem" message.
When I try the F.F. method, it seems that the app has changed a little bit, so I dont find the functions explained by Mostar.
I tried another method with F.F. too, by using proxy option and vpn option. In order to follow Mostar instructions I have searched the C636B320 version in F.F., but i got an error message cause apparenly that the version were deleted on the servers.
So I tried with others, (like B391, and all versions of B362 and B370, always "fullOTA-MF") but always I had issues. In some cases the new version has downloaded but at install, I got an error and nothing happens. In another cases when downloads the upgrade it stops at 70% and closes the system upgrade app.
I just search and read all in this forum, and honestly I dont understand enough to apply C432 or C20 methods to my phone version. So I ask you for help, please.
I'm stuck with a modern model phone that apparently will have an Android "O" upgrade in the world soon, but I still in MM...
Thanks in advance!

I managed a couple of months ago to flash B362 to get EMU 5.0 via FF and worked fine.
Since then I've tried every method (except TWRP) to get to B390 non PV version.
Always get download failed...
So tried Auto DNS, Manual DNS, Proxy and downloaded files into Dload folder ... Phone updater found relevant firmware but either download failed or package mismatch or something.
B390 latest valid firmware for L29C636 so can someone tell me how to get to this version and what is the difference between the FullOTA MF version and the PV one...I think a few members would like to understand that.
you must update to other version first
try update to B370 then B380 then B390
Ok thanks to Mostar088 thread on updating from MM to N...he says
"You have to use Proxy method and the firmware must be approved. If u click Check Firmware Access. When u go to Nougat from MM u must use FullOTA-MF-PV. 2.220gb
Use B362 to install.
If u use Proxy method, in Settings enable Use Proxy for install , when it finds the update in Settings - Updater do NOT click on Update but click back one step and then click on Menu, in there choose Download Latest Full Packege.
Then click update but when it starts click Paus and remove proxy settings, then click Resume Update."
As I was on Nougat B362 and thought I was correctly using all the FF methods I noticed Mostar in his quote above mentioned a couple of steps not covered anywhere else. I followed it to the absolute letter and was finally able to update to B390 EMU 5.0.1...
Many thanks to Mostar088 as I had been pulling my hair out.

I guess you are on Oreo.
Go to the firmware finder and find the list of firmwares and which correspond to the July security update, and check if it is approved for installation,if it is then go ahead and press update through VPN and follow the instructions.
Choose OTA not FullOTA if you are on Oreo, since it also took me a while to get the update.

I have tried different types of the Dload method but no one ses to work. I tried something from the WAS-LX1 SD CARD UPDATE GUIDELINE but using an update for this phone. Well, even if that update is available for update, with the dload method it says that 'The update package is not compatible with the current version. Please download the right package and try again." And I have tried that with about 10 other updates witch were available in firmware finder.. but I got the same results.
It seems that no method of updating is working for me right now... Or maybe I am doing the dload method wrongly.
I can't find specific stept for the dload method on the forums. On some of them is even said that dload method doesn't work on this phone all together.

Hmm,well as a last resort try to use dload with a service firmware.
I am sending you links for PRA-L31,the one I have, and you can check if you have that one by going into the engineering menu, and you do that by going into the dialer and typing this: *#*#2846579#*#*,and then going to Veneer Informations and Version Info.
http://androidhost.ru/6uc - this is for the July security patch firmware (aka the newest one),but it will take 8 hours to download,at least it took that time for me
https://mega.nz/#F!nwhAWDjC!cNovAN6dKLlO_YZ9fjMbzQ - this is for the firmware you are probably running right now
All of these links are from 4PDA forums.
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=809771&view=findpost&p=65929494 - here you can find instructions on how to do it,if you don't understand them basically you need to firstly apply the UPDATE.APP from the first update_sd.zip you find in the dload folder, and then do the vendor UPDATE.APP which you can find in the PRA-L31 folder.
I am sorry if you cannot completely understand what am I saying,I am typing this in a bit of a rush so...

THANK YOU SO MUCH! This actually helped me restore my phone to normal. I installed the B363 version from the MEGA link ( I had B360 installed. my mistake was that I initially installed the wrong version with firmware finder, B360 instead of B363). But once I installed the B360 I got a notification to update to B369.
Thank you for your help!

Thank you for this simple and useful guide. :good:
I was able to successfully update back to stock using Normal upgrade *#*#2846579#*#* dload method (not force with 3 buttons) and service firmware 8.0.0.363(C432). After that, got OTA for 8.0.0.369.. Everything went fine, except device name changed automatically to P9 lite 2017
Is this okay?? The same happens with service firmware you mentioned 8.0.0.369(C432)...
Beside that, Power+Vol+ gives me no more eRecovery, just EMUI with options to wipe data or reboot..

Yeah that is good, since this is a firmware which was released around Croatia,Albania,Czech Republic and etc,but there it is called P9 Lite 2017 instead of P8 Lite 2017 so it is no problem.
And I believe you enter eRecovery by holding Volume Up while plugging in your phone to a charger or USB port on a computer,at least that is how I did it before on Nougat, haven't touched any recoveries I fixed my phone with DC Phoenix.
Hi all,
is this method possible for ours p40 pro? https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...de-how-to-flash-approved-fullota-zip-t4112775

Try this method to update your P40 pro , its working
I can confirm it works, I've downgraded software from version 147 to 131 using this method, then was able to install Gms, however as you probably know Google Pay doesn't work, Google assistant neither and some apps do have trouble with push notifications (Gmail = no push but BlueMail email client is great alternative that works, Ebay= no push.) WhatsApp and messenger works fine and delivers notifications instantly.

Have you tried Aqua Mail? It feels very much like the native Gmail app, but I think it's actually better in many ways.
I tried BlueMail, but didn't like the UI.

I just rolled back from:
10.1.0.147 (C432E8R5P2) ELS-NX9
to:
10.1.0.131 (C432E8R5P2) ELS-NX9
using method described in https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83238395&postcount=328
In online firmware finder I entered model ELS-LGRP4-OVS and selected firmware ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.131 FullOTA-MF (see printscreen from webpage - column v will have id 410049)
https://pro-teammt.ru/en/online-firmware-database/?firmware_model=ELS-LGRP4-OVS&firmware_page=0
In HiSuiteProxy I entered link (marked as 1 on printscreen) for selected above firmware which is:
http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G5633/g1604/v410049/f1/
and entered ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.0.0.131 in firld marked on printscreen as 2.
I also selected checkbox Point Version and then pressed SETUP button.
HiSuite shown my update as 10.1.0.131.
After update phone entered twice in bootloop but after second boot system asked for prtition wipe.
After that booted normally.
All data of course will be lost after downgrade.
Hope it helps.

Have you tried Aqua Mail? It feels very much like the native Gmail app, but I think it's actually better in many ways.
I tried BlueMail, but didn't like the UI.

Hi, all. I wanna share that I successfully installed firmware ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.158 coming from 10.1.0.135 on model ELS-N04. I started trying to update with HiSuite Proxy but every time I hit the Update System button, a message "no internet connection" kept popping up.
Then I did some research and found out that you can flash with the DNS method using the Firmware Finder Tools and the links for the Approved firmware for your model. It is very easy actually and HiSuite detected new firmware at the first time of trying.
I also want to point out that I have GMS installed and haven't had any problem with this last update. After updating the phone, it just restarted, no cache wiping or factory reset.
I'll leave some screenshots.
How did you do this as I've tried many times today to update to 158 without success. I updated from 131 to 147 with no problems

Installed .158 yesterday. No Probs with installing. But also no new features...
Vrong version ?
